CJ Prosise vs Rawls

Recommended Posts

Next season does anyone think Prosise has a chance to be the starter instead of Rawls? Does Prosise have the ability to be an every down RB? He sure does have the right size. 6-1 ft with a 220lb body. Would be nice cuz he has great hands just like David Johnson does.

I have them both in a keeper league, I'm afraid we'll know nothing for sure until September. They very easily could start Rawls & roll Prosise out on passing downs.

Knock on CJ coming out was that he couldn't get yards between the tackles. Sea tends to feature him as a 3rd down/pass catching back. Carroll historically uses tandems, so I think CJ remains in a time share barring injury to Rawls/Collins.

I'm very excited to see how Alex Collins does this upcoming week. Granted, the knock will be that it's against the 49ers, but nonetheless this is a big chance for him to show he deserves carries moving forward.

If Prosise can stay healthy , I would rank him higher then Rawls or Collins in a ppr league.

Yeah I might be avoiding Rawls until he proves he can stay healthy

I like both (giving an edge to Prosise) but I don't foresee increased production from either one, if the Hawks can't get their run-blocking in order. If they keep running into walls, it's going to be difficult for them to remain uninjured.

Like the OP stated , Prosise is even bigger then Rawls.

He will be going into his second season, it's going to be interesting to see if he does indeed become more then a third down Rb type like Riddick.

This is a good question, thanks for asking.

He's taller. That's not "bigger", esp. when it comes to RBs.

I really like Glowinski, Britt, and Ifedi up the middle. But those ends need major upgrading. The tackle positions are awful. I say let's go first round LT, and second round RT.

Based on what I saw Week 15 against the Rams, their punter is the Back to own.

 that is funny.

thanks for the replies guys.

I know the knock on CJ but people forget Rawls wasnt even drafted so things change. Players improve. If CJ could improve between the tackles then there is another RB with hands as good as a WR just like DJ. The league doesnt have many every down backs these days. They become extremely valuable. RBs are the hardest to predict in this sport so I grabbed CJ of waivers so he sits on my roster till our 2017 draft. I then have to decide who my 4 keepers are and I release all the rest back into the draft. So who knows what happens in camp and in first few pre[season games.

Happy SAFE New Year Everyone

From what I saw , Prosise is listed as six pounds bigger then Rawls.

Bear in mind that (unlike Rawls), Prosise was a wide receiver. I don't think that you can count height and weight as significant measureables here - it's more the intangibles, such as agility or strength.

I think they are a tandem but I like Prosise because I don't know that Rawls can stay healthy. I loved the guy last year but sometimes when a guy runs so violently it just can't be done for a long time. I know some guys can do it. Rawls hasn't shown he is that kind of guy.

Now that is a key point.

Prosise was a Wr .

Yeah no question it's a RBBC going forward , but I a ppr league Prosise has the edge.

I am done with Rawls.

CJ looked like the real deal to me before injury. Of course, I am big on Collins too, and have been since he came in the league this year outta Arkansas.

If I draft a Seahawks RB, it will be CJ with Collins as the cuff.

I just don't think he will ever be a legit rb1 that a team wants to rely on. He isn't all that good of an athlete. He didn't do the 3 cone drill because of a headache? He might as well have said Yeah I can't cut like a great nfl rb should so I skipped it. A nice fill in yes. An ever week Bell cow? I am doubting it.

You may be right, but I just can't forget how legit Collins looked against legit SEC defenses.

Seattle had every opportunity to move him this year, but stuck with him. Must see something?

Yeah a cheap hard working competent rb.

And with a (hopefully) improved line, and an already-legitimate passing threat and defense......isn't a hard working and competent RB the recipe for success?
