Ever called in to a radio show or won anything?

Recommended Posts

Not me. Outside of requesting songs when I was in jr high.

Always figured those be the ninth caller contests were impossible.

What's the most you've won

Yes...

Many tickets to concerts... Many albums... Free food...

It was pretty easy to win after midnight during college...

I won a BJ at a bachelor party once. It had nothing to do with the radio, though.

I don't think it's considered "winning" if you're the one giving it.

Hell yes!! I'm a little hesitant to tell you guys because I don't want to be hounded for it.....oh heck..I'll throw caution to the wind.

In 1993 I won....a Terrance Trent Darby tape as the 7th caller. (Cue my PMs blowing up)

Yeah- I hit the local radio station quite often for concert tickets.

This year

Los Lobos opened for the Rides- Kenny Wayne Shepard & Stephen Stills

Bruce Hornsby

Couple Nashville Symphony events

Michael McDonald coming up in October.

Brian Setzer Orchestra Chriatmas Show- 2 years in a row

Jeff Beck

Warren Haynes

Many more

Last year- driving back from Indiana- while changing stations, the Nashville Sports station said caller 5- I called and won tix to the Preds wine tasting event at the arena- that was fun!

Tickets were like $100 or $125 apiece

Just out of undergrad and a girl I knew ran the promotions department at a radio station. She set it up that I would be the xx caller. It was station 106.5 and I won $106.50 (before taxes).

When I would carpool, a local radio station had a trivia contest every morning. I think the 4 of us won it half a dozen times. They were ridiculous questions..this animal has the most muscles of any animal in its body....caterpillar. That kind of thing

Allmon Brothers tickets

Rick Springfield

Local restaurant dinners that kind of thing

Good Times
