  1. Very unique 8 team start up league looking for one more owner. League was full but had one back out last minute for financial reasons. Looking to start the draft later this week. Check out the rules and settings below (including fees and payouts). League is ideal for someone who is in multiple leagues and looking for something that won't require a large commitment, especially the first two years. Please shoot me a message at rentedmules02@yahoo.com if interested. * A 5 round Rookie Only Draft will be held shortly after the NFL Draft in 3 consecutive years. Drafts will be slow, email snake drafts with 8 hour timer (paused during overnight hours). This year's draft will start as soon as league is full and entry fees are paid. * Each franchise will eventually consist of the 15 players drafted during those 3 Rookie Drafts. * There will be 2 copies of each player available to draft at QB and TE and 1 copy of each player at RB and WR. One copy of each player per team. * Draft order will be generated as follows: Year 1 (random), Year 2 (reverse order of Year 1), Year 3 (random). * Year round trading will be allowed but limited waivers/free agency process. * In season waivers will take place in year 3 only and will be held via blind bidding process with $100 FAAB budget but will be limited to players who were drafted in any of the last 3 NFL Drafts (that occurred during the league's existence). No players who entered the NFL during a period outside of this league's existence will be available at any time. If a team accidentally (or otherwise) claims an ineligible player, that player will simply be removed from that team by the commissioner. * No formal competition years one and two. Best ball tourney in year 3 only (weeks 1-16) for all the marbles. * PPR scoring format with .5 points per reception for RB, WR, (and QB) and 1.5 points per reception for TE (TE premium).* 6 player starting lineups. Starters will include 1 SUPERFLEX (QB/RB/WR/TE), 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 FLEX (RB/WR/TE). Starting players at QB and/or TE is optional but comes with obvious advantages. No defense or kickers. * Some scoring settings will be fractional and will include: .1 points per yard for rushing and receiving (equivalent of 1 point per 10 yards) and .04 points per yard passing (equivalent of 1 point per 25 yards). * 6 points per rushing and receiving TD and 4 points per passing TD. * Entry fees will be a total of $150 and will be collected and held via Leaguesafe. $100 non refundable fee owed prior to Year 1 draft, $50 non refundable fee owed prior to Year 2 draft, $0 owed prior to Year 3 draft. Owners will also spilt the MFL site fee (as stated below). * $1200 total prize pot. $1000 1st Place / $200 2nd Place. * League will be hosted on MFL (My Fantasy League) site in year 3 only. We will use MFL because it is the best site for custom formats like this one. All communication will be via email for first 2 years. League site fees would be split among all 8 owners and would be collected with year 3 drafting fees. (Current MFL charge is $69.95 for early bird) so site cost would likely come out to approximately $7 per owner.
  2. I'm thinking about changing from a 10 team league to an 8 team league and reducing the copies of players for rookie drafts to 2 copies for QB and TE and 1 copy for RB and WR. I still want the top prize to be $1000, so 2nd place would drop to $200. I also would require fees for years 1 and 2 to be paid prior to the year 1 draft and the fee for year 3 to be paid prior to the year 2 draft. This is to prevent someone from deciding not to pay and drop out because they don't like their team heading into year 3. It would break down as follows: $100 due prior to year 1 draft (which I'm hoping to hold early next month). $50 due prior to year 2 draft (plus $7 for MFL site fee, which will be available prior to year 3 draft). $0 due in year 3 I'm looking for 2 more people to join so we can get this thing kicked off. Email to rentedmules02@yahoo.com if interested.
  3. Still looking to get this league rolling with Year 1 Draft some time this month. Anyone else interested?
  4. See changes to rules/settings in bold!
  5. This year's draft will start shortly after the league is filled.
  6. I am creating a 8 team ROOKIE ONLY Dynasty Hybrid League that will encompass 3 total seasons. Here are the highlights: * A 5 round Rookie Draft will be held shortly after the NFL Draft in 3 consecutive years. Drafts will be slow, email snake drafts with 8 hour timer (paused during overnight hours). This year's draft will start as soon as league is full. * There will be 2 copies of each player at QB and TE and 1 copy of each player at RB and WR available in the draft. One copy of player per team allowed. * Draft order will be generated as follow: Year 1 (random) - Year 2 (reverse of year 1) - Year 3 (random) * Each franchise will eventually consist of the 15 players drafted during those 3 Rookie Drafts. * Year round trading will be allowed but limited waivers/free agency process. * One time supplemental blind bidding waivers prior to start of formal competition in year 3 only. Each team could replace a maximum of 2 drafted players (possibly players that are injured or no longer in NFL) with any player drafted the same year as the player they are replacing. $100 FAAB budget. * 2 Emergency Waiver Claims allowed any time throughout season to replace injured or non performing players. First come first served. Players claimed must be players who were drafted in any of the last 3 NFL Drafts (that occurred during the league's existence). * No formal competition years one and two. Best Ball Tourney in year 3 for all the marbles (NFL weeks 1-16). * 5 player starting lineups. Starters will include 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR) * Scoring will be typical 1 point PPR format. * $50 non refundable draft fee per team prior to each of the 3 rookie drafts for a total entry fee of $150 per team. Money collected and held via Leaguesafe. * $1200 total prize pot. $1000 League Champ / $200 Runner Up. * League would be hosted on MFL (My Fantasy League) site in year 3 only because it is the best site for custom formats like this one. All communication will be via email for first 2 years. League site fees would be split among all 10 owners and would be collected with year 3 drafting fees. (Current MFL charge is $69.95 for early bird) so site cost would likely come out to approximately $7 per owner. This league will require minimal effort and financial commitment and will be great for those involved in multiple leagues and who love the process of evaluating and drafting NFL rookies. Have fun drafting for several days each spring and maybe win a GRAND (or a cool $500). If interested, please email me at rentedmules02@yahoo.com.
  7. Hey everyone, I have come up with what I believe is a very cool and unique semi-dynasty concept and would like to kick off a league this Spring/Summer. I am looking for 9 reliable and dedicated people who would like to participate in the 10 team league described in more detail below. I have been involved in fantasy sports for almost 20 years and have experience as commissioner running a current 2nd year Dynasty League on MFL and a successful 13 year redraft league that I recently folded to focus on other endeavors. If you are interested, please contact me at rentedmules02@yahoo.com. 3 Year Slow Build Rookie League Concept The basic concept of this league is that the roster of each of 10 franchises will be built slowly, over a 3 year period, through a series of (3) annual 4 round Rookie Drafts and (1) 4 round Veteran Supplemental Draft that owners will use to fill in roster spots based on positional needs not fully addressed through the Rookie Drafts. Strategy will be critical in filling out rosters mainly through the drafting of incoming NFL rookies with only a 4 round veteran draft and limited waiver/free agency in Year 3 to supplement those drafted rookies. The first 2 years of the league will be very low maintenance and owner involvement/commitment will basically be limited to drafting and stashing incoming NFL rookies. As a result, a smaller portion of the $200 total entry fee will be collected during the first two years. There will be minimal owner involvement and minimal financial commitment for the first 2 years. The overall idea of this league is very much outside the box of traditional fantasy football leagues. It is meant to test a players ability to construct a full 16 player roster over an extended time period using mostly NFL rookies and strategically complementing those rookies with a limited opportunity to acquire veteran players. Read the league regulations that follow to get a better idea of how this will be done. DRAFTS: Rookie Only Draft (Year 1) * There will be a 4 round rookie only slow email snake draft (only incoming rookies drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft will be available). * The draft will take place within 2 weeks after the league is full. * Draft Order will be randomly determined by a draft generating tool. * Those players will be loaded onto all respective team rosters and an email with those rosters will be sent to each owner. * There will be no formal competition of any kind during Year 1 and no trades, waivers, or transactions will be allowed. * The only purpose of Year 1 will be to add the first 4 players to each roster thru the Rookie Draft. Rookie Only Draft (Year 2) * There will be a 4 round rookie only slow email snake draft (only incoming rookies drafted in the 2021 NFL draft will be available). * The draft will take place in May, within 2 weeks after the NFL Draft. * Draft Order will be reversed from the prior year (if you drafted in the 1 slot in Year 1, you will draft in the 10 slot in Year 2) * Those players will be loaded onto all respective team rosters and an email with those rosters will be sent to each owner. * Each team will have at total of 8 players at this point but not all players will necessarily be active NFL players (if they were cut or are otherwise out of the league). * There will be no formal competition of any kind during Year 2 and no trades, waivers, or transactions will be allowed. * The only purpose of Year 2 will be to add the second 4 players to each roster thru the rookie draft. Rookie Only Draft (Year 3) * There will be a third 4 round rookie only slow email snake draft (only incoming rookies drafted in the 2022 NFL draft will be available). * The draft will take place in May, within 2 weeks after the NFL Draft. * Draft Order will be reversed from the prior year (if you drafted in the 1 slot in Year 2, you will draft in the 10 slot in Year 3) * Those players will be loaded onto all respective team rosters and an email with those rosters will be sent to each owner. * Each team will have at total of 12 players at this point but not all players will necessarily be active NFL players (if they were cut or are otherwise out of the league). Supplemental Veteran Draft (Year 3) * There will be a 4 round Supplemental Veteran slow email snake draft in Year 3 after the Rookie Draft (all available players will be able to be drafted). * The draft will take place in late July and will be utilized to fill out the remaining spots on each team's roster. * Draft Order will again be reversed from the previous draft which, in this case, will be the 3rd Rookie Draft. * Those players will be loaded onto all respective team rosters and an email with those rosters will be sent to each owner. * Each team will have at total of 16 players at this point but not all players will necessarily be active NFL players (if they were cut or are otherwise out of the league). Waivers (Year 3): * There will be no waivers/free agency transactions during the first 2 years but that will change in Year 3. * After all drafting has been completed, each team will be given a total of 4 waiver claims to use whenever they wish during the 3rd season. * Waivers can be utilized to replace rookies who have been cut or are otherwise no longer active players in the NFL. They can also be used to replace players injured during the season. * Once a team uses its 4 waiver claims, they can no longer add any players in that manner. Teams will have to be strategic in how they utilize these precious commodities. * Waiver claims will be restricted in that, if you are replacing a player(s) you drafted as a rookie in any of the 3 Rookie Only Drafts, they can only be replaced with a player from that same NFL Draft Class. * If you are replacing a player(s) you drafted during the Veteran Supplemental Draft, you can replace that player(s) with any available free agent. * Waivers will be strictly first come, first served. (Again, teams will have to be strategic with these waiver claims and plan for unforeseen injuries, etc during the season, etc). * Waiver order will not be based on standings and teams will not fall to the bottom of a priority list after they make a claim. Trades (Year 3): * Trading will be allowed during Year 3 only, after all drafts are complete and rosters are filled out with drafted players. * There will be no restrictions or limits on trading but commissioner approval will be needed prior to trade processing and will be done within 24 hours of trade notification. * In the event that the commissioner deems a trade to be the result of possible collusion, that trade will be put up for league wide vote before being processed or rejected. Competition (Year 3): * The actual fantasy season (competition) will begin in Year 3. * It will be a best ball format with total points scored thru 15 weeks determining the standings. No H2H matchups. * The system will automatically use the highest point totals at each starting position to determine scoring. * Weekly starters will include: (1) QB, (2) RB, (2) WR, (1) TE, (1) FLEX-RB/WR/TE. There will be no kickers or defenses on rosters. * There will be no division/conference breakdown. All teams will be on one "division" and the top 3 finishers will cash out. Scoring (Year 3) * Scoring will be a traditional PPR format. Refer to league settings for all scoring info. Highlights listed below. *** 1 point per reception for RB, WR, and TE *** .1 points per rushing yard (fractional) *** .1 points per receiving yard (fractional) *** 1 point per 25 passing yards *** 6 points per rushing/receiving TD *** 4 points per passing TD Entry Fees/Payouts * The entry fee will be $200 per franchise and will break down in the following manner. *** $50 non-refundable fee due prior to Year 1 Rookie Draft *** $50 non-refundable fee due prior to Year 2 Rookie Draft *** $100 non-refundable fee due prior to Year 3 Rookie Draft * If an owner does not manage and pay entry fees for their franchise for the entire 3 years, they will not receive a refund for money already paid and their franchise will become an "orphan". * An orphaned franchise will be sold to a replacement owner and that new owner will only be responsible for fees not already paid. * Total incoming funds will be $2000 and will be maintained in Leaguesafe account * Fund distribution will break down as follows: * $100 for administrative expenses including MFL site hosting fee (site will only be maintained during Year 3 for actual competition. We won't need a site for the first 2 years and will not pay MFL fees for those years). * Total prize pool will be $1900 (all prizes will be distributed via Leagusafe at the end of Year 3 after standings have been finalized). *** 1st Place (Total Points For) - $1200 *** 2nd Place (Total Points For) - $500 *** 3rd Place (Total Points For) - $200
  8. I am thinking about starting what I call a Scratch Dynasty League. It essentially involves building a team slowly from scratch over a three year period, strictly through drafting, before you start competing head to head against other teams. It would be a 10 team league and here is how it would work: Season 1 Each team pays a $100 non refundable entry fee at the beginning of season one. There would be a 4 round rookie only slow email snake draft in June/July where all teams select the first 4 players for their respective rosters. Only rookie players will be added to teams at this time. Draft order generator will be used to determine draft order. There will be no normal waiver/free agency process as this is a draft only league. The points of those 4 players will be added up over the course of a season and the team with the most points will win a cash prize. If a team loses a player to injury, that team may use the "emergency" free agency process to add a replacement player, but that replacement player can only be another rookie and, if/when the team's original player returns from injury and is active on their NFL team, that team must drop the replacement player. The team will not have the option of keeping the replacement player because that player is better, etc and a team will not be able to utilize free agency to replace players who are cut or inactive (the idea is that you identify and draft rookies who will have a prominent role on their NFL team). Only players who are inactive on their NFL team for a certain week(s) may be replaced and only for that time period. Once that injured player returns to active status, the replacement player must be dropped. Season 2 A second non refundable $100 fee will be collected prior to start of season 2. There will be a second 4 round rookie only slow email snake draft in June/July and those players will be added to the rosters. Now each team will have a maximum of 8 total active players. Draft order will be determined by order of finish the prior season (total points) with the last place team getting first pick and so on (in ascending order). Once again, if a team loses a player to injury, that team may use the "emergency" free agency process to add a replacement player, but that replacement player can only be a rookie and, if/when the team's original player returns from injury and is active on their NFL team, that team must drop the replacement player. The team will not have option of keeping the replacement player because that player is better, etc and a team will not be able to utilize free agency to replace players who are cut or inactive (the idea is that you identify and draft rookies who will have a prominent role on their NFL team). The cumulative points for all 8 players will be tabulated over the course of that season and a cash prize will be awarded to the team with the most total points. Season 3 A third non refundable entry fee of $100 will be collected prior to start of season 3. A third and final 4 round slow email rookie snake draft will be held in June/July. Each team at that point would theoretically have up to 12 total players but, if a player or players are cut, inactive, or otherwise not playing in the NFL, a team's total could be less than 12. Draft order once again will be determined by order of finish the prior season (total points) with the last place team getting first pick and so on (in ascending order). After the rookie draft, there will be a one time 4 round veteran snake draft (all available NFL players included) where teams would be able to fill out and finalize their rosters with whatever players and positions they feel are needed to make a full and competitive roster. That draft would take place after the 3rd NFL pre season game and would be an online one day only draft. Draft order for veteran draft would be randomly determined by draft generator. After the veteran draft, each team will have a maximum of 16 players, though again, it could be less if a team's rookies were cut or are no longer active in NFL. The "emergency" free agent process would again be available and would extend to veteran players. If a team loses a rookie (injury only), it can only replace that player with another rookie. If a team loses a veteran player (injury only), it can replace that player with another veteran, but the points scored total for that veteran cannot exceed the points scored total of the original, injured player. Again, once any player returns from injury, the team must drop the replacement player and activate the original player. The third season is where each team will field a starting lineup of 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE) each week for the entire league season. The league will change to a head to head league and teams will compete against each other in a normal H2H format with playoffs and championship matchup (top 4 teams from regular season will qualify for playoffs). Trading will be allowed throughout all 3 seasons but no free agency/waivers will ever take place, other then the "emergency" free agent process. The idea is to draft well enough over the 3 rookie drafts and 1 veteran supplement draft to form the best, most complete team possible and be able to survive the loss of players due to them being inactive or cut for performance reasons. The total prize pool will be $3000. 1st Place - $1530 2nd Place - $500 3rd Place - $300 4th Place $200 Total Points For (Seasons 1 and 2) - $100 (X2) MFL Site Fee - $270 (covers all 3 seasons) Let me know if anyone would be interested in joining a league with this concept. If we get 10 teams, I'll put the league together and it will start with a rookie only draft this year. Fees and prize distribution handled through Leaguesafe.
  9. 2 spots remaining. Shoot email to rentedmules02@yahoo.com, if interested.
  10. TEAMS: • Franchises will be named by owners and should represent a city that does not currently have a professional sports team in any of the 4 major sports leagues (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA). Examples include Topeka, Charleston, Louisville, Hartford, Providence, Albuquerque, Ft. Worth, ,etc. • 12 teams total: 2 conferences of 6 teams each (Federal & Liberty) • DRAFTS: • Origination Draft: (normal 24 round snake style online draft). •Rookie Draft: 4 round draft held every year after the inaugural season. Draft order will be determined by standings with last place team selecting first and league champ selecting 12th. Each franchise will designate 20 keepers prior to draft and open 4 spots on roster for rookie draft picks. Will take place in late August/early September. • Replacement Draft: If a new owner(s) enters league and adopts an orphaned team, there will be a Replacement Draft (prior to Rookie Draft). Will take place in July. • Each team can protect 12 of it’s 24 players. Non-protected players will be exposed in the Replacement Draft. Each team owner, including new owner(s), must submit a list of protected players to the league prior to Replacement Draft. • Replacement owner(s) can select up to 5 players from existing teams (nonprotected list) but cannot select more than one player from any single team. An existing team that has a player sniped from it’s roster can then select one player from the unprotected players on the replacement team’s roster. • Replacement Draft will be conducted by email. New owner will have a maximum of 12 hours to make each selection. Once a selection is made, the team who’s player was sniped will then have a maximum of 12 hours to choose a replacement player from the new owner’s unprotected player list (owners will be encouraged to make each selection and notify league ASAP. Full 12 hour allotment should be used only if needed). This will continue until the new owner has selected all of the players (s)he wishes (up to 5 total players). If there are multiple new owners, the order for the Replacement Draft will be determined by the orphaned teams’ place in the prior season’s standings. FREE AGENCY/WAIVERS: • FAAB waiver system with $100 in FAAB budget per season. Waivers will take place in-season only. No players will be able to be claimed during off-season. TRADES: • Trading will be allowed in-season as well as during the off-season. • Trading of draft picks (for the league’s Rookie Draft) will be allowed when actual players are also involved in such trade. No draft pick only deals will be allowed. • A non refundable deposit of $50 (half the league fee) will be due from all returning owners by a pre determined date (in April) to ensure league will have enough time to fill any open spots and also to ensure off-season trades are not made involving an owner(s) that decide to leave the league after such trade is consummated. ROSTER CONSTRUCTION: • Maximum position allowances, starting lineup information, IR information, etc will be posted in league settings on official league site. There will not be a taxi squad so all players will need to be part of the team’s 24 player roster. Players who are likely not going to be active or have a significant impact on a current season will still be part of a team’s 24 player limit so owner’s will have to figure that into roster construction. The expanded 24 player roster will allow for those players to be stashed away for future seasons without affecting a team’s ability to field a competitive lineup during the current season. SCORING: • League will use Head To Head and full point PPR (points per reception) scoring format. Full scoring information will be posted in league settings on official league site. RULES COMMITTEE: • The league will implement a 3 person Rules Committee that will include league commissioner and 2 other league owners. Members will be elected on a voluntary basis and will be determined by length of time as an owner in the RMFFL (my current redraft league). The Rules Committee will be utilized to impartially resolve any rules violations, issues, or disputes or other league business related directly to the competition itself. FULL SEASON COMPETITIVENESS ASSUMPTION: • All teams will be expected to field a competitive lineup of active players on a weekly basis. Any team owner that is deemed to not be making a true faith attempt to win a weekly matchup, either purposely or through neglect/ disinterest, will be given one warning and then will be subject to a lockout of roster control. • In such an instance, the commissioner will field that team’s best possible lineup based solely on player point projections. • This stipulation is meant to ensure the competitive integrity of the league and to prevent an owner of a team eliminated from playoff contention from purposely “tanking” in an attempt to secure a higher draft slot in the next year’s Rookie Draft, etc. • The determination on whether an owner is guilty of this violation will be made by the Rules Committee and any owner who is found to be in flagrant violation may be subject to termination from the league and will not be refunded any portion of league fees covering the current season. Any extenuating circumstances that contributed to an owner’s inactivity will be considered when making this decision. FEES/PAYOUTS: Annual league entry fee will be $100. Seasonal payouts will break down as follows: $510 League Champion $200 League Runner Up $100 Conference Regular Season Winner (X2) $200 Overall Points For Regular Season *The remaining $90 will go toward paying site hosting fee Balance of entry fees will be due in late June and all league accounting will be handled through Leaguesafe.
  11. The AFFA (American Fake Football Alliance) is a 12 team startup H2H dynasty league that will be kicking off it's inaugural season on the My Fantasy Football site this year. This is a serious league being started by a commissioner who has run successful fantasy leagues for 13 years. 8 spots have been filled by owners who have been in my longest running redraft league. We need 4 serious owners who can commit long term to a dynasty format to fill out the league. This season will be somewhat of a trial run because it is a brand new league, so things will be scaled down. The entry fee for this season only will be just $25. The payouts will be $110 (league champion), $50 (runner up), and $50 (total points for regular season). Next season and going forward, the entry fee will increase to $100 and the payout will break down as follows: $510 (league champ), $200 (runner up), $100 (conference winner X2), $200 (total points for regular season). The remainder of the money will be used to pay MFL site fee. I decided to use this site because it is fully customizable and is particularly suited for a dynasty league. All league accounting will be handled thru Leaguesafe. The live Origination Draft will be a snake draft held on Wednesday September 4 at 7pm ET. Even though this season is a scaled back one, the rosters drafted will be the true rosters going forward and we will have 4 round Rookie Drafts in future seasons (and Replacement Drafts as needed). I have included a link to the league's official site so you can review league scoring settings, etc in more detail (please review the AFFA General Information document under the League Links tab on the bottom right of the site's home page for a more detailed overview of the league). League will utilize a basic full point PPR scoring format. Take a few moments to look things over and, if you are interested in getting in during the inaugural season of what promises to be a premium, competitive, and professionally run dynasty league, please email me at rentedmules02@yahoo.com. We need to fill the 4 remaining spots ASAP so, if you want to be part of the AFFA, please don't hesitate to reach out. Link to AFFA Site: https://www73.myfantasyleague.com/2019/home/40986#0
