DocNiner 44 Posted April 27, 2017 Seen on Mike & Mike this am that the Browns will take QB Trubisky which leaves Myles Garrett for my 49ers. If that holds true not sure S.F. takes Garrett. Maulers1973 117 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm a Browns fan, and I hate it. I hope it's false. The Browns finished last or 2nd to last on defense 2 years in a row. That had little to do with the QB. polecatt 402 Posted April 27, 2017 Well the thing with the Browns and 49ers is that they both have a lot of holes to fill. Both teams have a glaring hole at QB and both could really use a pass rusher. If the Browns take Trubisky at 1 then it's really hard for me to see the 49ers passing up Myles Garrett at 2. The 49ers have taken a very defensive minded approach in recent years so a supposed superstar pass rusher would be a perfect fit for a rebuilding defense. TBayXXXVII 2,116 Posted April 27, 2017 I can understand why Browns fans wouldn't like Trubisky because I don't think there's a chance in Hades that he turns into a franchise QB. Of course, I have been wrong before, so anything is possible. That said, if the Browns believe that Trubisky is a franchise QB, they have to take him #1 with no doubt. If that's what they truly believe, they can not allow another team who may feel the same way, have a chance to take him from them. I personally think their best option is to trade down and get more picks. This is a very deep draft and quantity is better than quality. If there's a team that likes Trubisky or Garrett, then the Browns should use that to their advantage. I'm of the opinion that Kessler, that they already have has just of high of a ceiling as all the QB's in this draft, so I wouldn't even consider drafting a QB in this draft. giraldi02 470 Posted April 27, 2017 Browns should stockpile the defense and go with Osweiler this year tbh. He can't be any worse than any of these scrub QB's in this year's draft.
