Allen Robinson to Bears

Recommended Posts

great get for the bears

I agree. And it's 6 mil over all, and 5 mil in guarantees less than the Watkins deal.

Plus, I think he's a better WR. Bears did excellent.

This is the best thing that the Bears could have done for themselves this offseason. Robinson is only 24 and has a good chance of full recovery this year. Bears need to pile up on receivers as they had probably the worst group in football last year and now have their franchise QB in place. I kind of hope they trade down from 8 this draft if anyone wants that spot for a QB. Else take the Notre Dame guard.

Watch out for Cohen out of the backfield this year if he can be back fully.

TE Trey Burton headed to the Bears as well. A couple nice moves for Matt Nagy and this offense.

Wow. Bears hitten an early home run.

This appears to be a good move for the Bears but what about Robinson? Which tier would you put him in?

Mmm im not so sure Robinson will be the player from 2015 or the flop in 2016.

I think his value should be low.

I hope he sales high.

Hopefully he'll be as good as Marcus Robinson. He had a few great seasons with the bears.

This dude had one good year padding his stats on a terrible team.

Why do people talk about him like hes a future hall of famer?

I don't think anyone is calling him a future HOFer. He's just a young player who is good at football who has a lot of upside.

He wasn't all that great in 2016.

I think he was a wr4 last time we saw when in a full season.

I agree with post #13.

Allen Robinson is 6'3", 220lbs of WR1 with the tape to prove it.

Now he goes to a team with a young QB/RB tandem and a new offensive minded coach with 200 some receptions and 2k yards to replace from last year.

As a Bears homer and ARob owner in ff I'm giddy at the possibilities.

Also lots of tape to prove he's a wr4 in 2016.

Hope that someone in my likes him as a over ranked wr1.

Don't we all know that 2016 is more a byproduct of Bortle's issues than anyone else's? Let's face it, last year, he was the same crappy QB for the first 2/3 of the season that he was in 2016.

I don't disgree about the QB issue, but look at the tape from 2016, and you will see a wr1 from the 2015 that drop a ton of balls in the 2016 season he looked like a wr that wasn't eager to be one again.

Now he's going to a team with more QB question marks, let's see how much he wants to be a wr1.

I don't see the production to make him a wr1 this next season.

I wouldn't take him higher then a low wr2 and better yet a wr3.

To quote Roger Clemens, I think you're mis-remembering. He had the exact same number of targets in 2015 that he did in 2016 with only 7 less receptions. In 2015, Robinson is credited with 5 drops, but only 3 in 2016, so the tape will show that Robinson had less drops - not more.

I can believe an argument of "lack of interest", I saw that with Michael Clayton back in a day... and Mike Williams, but the stats, as well as the film on Bortles, say that Robinson wasn't the problem. It's also possible that the lack of interest came with frustration over his QB not being able to get him the ball. His ypr did drop from 17 to 12. I don't really know what the real reason is as I never really cared to watch many Jacksonville games, but he does have the talent.

Yeah maybe, maybe not.

Now I don't see him as a wr1 this next season, how about you, do you have him ranked as a wr1, in ff means one of the top 12 WRs?

I don't, and once again another team with QB question marks and the last time I saw Robinson play he posted wr4 numbers.

So right now today where would you rank him?

I wouldn't draft him to be my WR1, but that's more because of Trubisky than Robinson. If Robinson had gone to a team like the Seattle, then yes, I'd have drafted him as WR1. If I had him as my WR2, I'd love it and be fell like I have a shot a 2 solid WR1's.

Without any in-depth analysis and just looking at how the receivers finished last year, I'd rank him outside the top 10, but inside the top 20.

Probably what most will have him at. Myself included. That being said, I am waiting on wideout this year so will prob grab him as a 1 in round 2 or 3.
