Statistical Regression, RB stats to team wins....HELP!

Recommended Posts

Help, please if you can!

At some point in the last few weeks, a retweet of a statistical regression model for RB stats to team wins came across my twitter feed and I failed to bookmark it but am very interested in circling back around to it now.

It had been a very busy time in the real world including markets over the same time period and my focus was elsewhere but the gist of the model was some measure of stat (PFF grade maybe? but not sure at all) correlation to team wins and the highest correlation present was pass blocking efficiency/success. Because my Twitter follows are varied and disorganized its a needle in haystack situation for me to backtrack and Google searches have netted zilch.

Ring a bell for anyone?

Thanks!

Try searching your web history?

Never a good idea.

True Dat lol

Not a good idea for lots of reasons, not the least of which is............. in this case it won't help

The article noted was on my Twitter feed as a retweet by somebody I follow. I was too busy to click on it so its not in my web history. Had I clicked on it and viewed it only minimally I'd have a recollection of better search terms to use.

I know there are others out there as wonky as myself so I know somebody has seen this article.

Kopy, this is my answer to your question posed of what we do in the off-season BTW.

Seek out fresh angles to view NFL statistics which may or may not be tangentially related to fantasy football, but propose a different lens to view the game. I also review the last seasons stats produced using my favorite historical models, I'm just too busy to do it in an ongoing way during the season.

Effect of Wins on RB Scoring - Going Deep - Rotoworld.com

Not sure if I was allowed to post that, if not let me know Mike

I appreciate you taking that shot but that isn't it. That one is probably alot more directly relevant to FF, particularly daily than the one I'm looking for though.

The study I'm looking for I suspect is more recent and was in some way examining the correlation of what a player does well to team win and the outcome seemed to say for RBs pass protection was the most correlated as opposed to running or catching well..................... for whatever the parameters of the study.
