Another London game

Recommended Posts

NO vs MIA. Not crazy about playing anyone from these early games.

It also makes for a long Sunday--thirteen hours straight of watching football makes me brain dead.

Don't worry. The in-depth coverage of who stood/knelt/locked arms/stayed in tunnel will keep you rivited to the TV! Oh yeah, they might actually play the game in case you care about scores.

Well I have to watch because it's NFL football. And I've got Brees and DeVante Parker playing.

This is the week that Parker is supposed to breakout and not just produce in garbage time on the last drive....I might start him.

Every game for the last two years has supposed to have been his breakout game. I was all in at the draft, so I'm hoping this one is it.

I've got Cutler or Eli... Cutler is tempting as this can be a shootout. But the Fish laid such an egg (roe?) vs. the hapless Jets last week that I'm askeered...

I feel like I'm the only one saying this on the Rotoworld forums. Him, Cutler, and that Miami offense haven't impressed me. To have -1 yard receiving at halftime is inexcusable and makes me think the Parker hype was overrated and overstated.

Hope I'm wrong. I have to decide between Sanders and Parker....Sanders seems to have the higher floor.

I'd do just fine without any 8:30 am Sunday and Thursday games... in case anyone from the NFL is listening.

If I recall, the Thursday night games started out as a few times a season towards the end of the season. Now it's overkill. Hate the early Sunday morning games

As has been evidenced by current situations, it reveals the NFL and pumpkin head Goodell have no idea what they are doing.

Thursday night sucks. Sunday night sucks. Allowing players freedom to celebrate however they want sucks. And not enforcing exisiting rules and allowing players to crap all over the flag and country sucks.

It's hard to do but the NFL is going to do it.. They are going to kill the perfect product.

Well, last week I said play all Baltimore players because they were the better team in a different London Thread. They are going to score score score and the defense is a must start! (That was an awesome 0 points from my defense!) Non the less, somebody seems to score big each time over there. I chose the wrong team..........

I was unedumucated i have to admit. Jacksonville has played there several times - Baltimore never - Baltimore planned on a 60 minute bus ride from the hotel to the stadium that morning. They arrived there in 25 minutes. Thumbs then went up their butt, They had no groove, no feel, routines out of whack, London is just different. I'll have to do a little better planning this weekend on the London game. Get meself smarterer! Then I'll make some better predictions!

PS - awesome waking up to watch an NFL game live on IPAD early in the morning! It does make for a long day though

in case you want a good laugh! Oh, I am proud to own my fock ups! Jocstrap does make mistakes and doesn't blame somebody else.

Here are scores from the past 3 years of London and Mexico nfl scores...

2016
Oak 27 - Texans 20
Redskins 27 - bengals 27
Giants 17 - Rams 10 - these teams had horrid offenses last year - don't use this example!

2015
Chiefs 45 - lions 10
Jags 34 - bills 31
Jets 27 - dolphins 14

2014
Cowboys 31 - jags 17
Lions 22 - falcons 21
Dolphins 38 - raiders 14

After computing all the numbers mathematically in my head...here is my conclusion...

The better team is Baltimore or Jags? I'm taking Baltimore after the way Tennessee just crushed the jags this past weekend. The winning teams have put up some very solid point totals in these international affairs. Fantasy players on those rosters must've produced. That's why I like all Baltimore players this Saturday at 9:30am. Start em if you own em!

Flacco - only problem here is that they get ahead too much and run 2nd half
Maclin - will score a td for three weeks in a row
Defense - a must start
Javoriuos Allen - potential huge game especially if Terrance West has a lingering injury from last game
Terrance West - will score for the 3rd straight week as well if he gets over 14 touches - monitor injury
Benjamin Watson - hello late pick tight end that was on fire last week! He will do it again vs Jags

Leonard Fournette - might receive an ouchie in this game if the Jags can't find any passing rhythm - just saying because he's an LSU poosay. Go Mississippi State Bulldawgs!

I've discovered throughout the years the NFL has been playing in London that (1) the fans there have no clue as to what to cheer about, and (2) all offensive players deliver sub-par performances. Play'em if you want, I'm (Lazy Parker, whimpy Ajayi) not gonna play any of the guys on my team. I'll play guys (Cooks or Julio and Carson or Duke Johnson) that are playing here rather than that long flight and all the distractions there. And besides, Miami looked like a jr high team last week-I'm afraid to play ANY of those slackers! Buncha quitters!

and Jacksonville lost to Tennessee like 36-2 the week before London. Jacksonville looked like a JV team. Then look what Jacksonville did to Baltimore the following week in London. . Jeeze - hard to predict. Maybe teams that receive an azzs whooping the week before, come out on fire and play awesome the next weekend b/c the season is still early? On a side note - after Baltimores stinker in London last weekend...I'll be curious to see how they respond.

The Thursday game last week was fantastic. I like getting up Sunday and realizing I don't have to wait until 1 PM Eastern until football. If you hate Thursday night because your fantasy players struggle with the short week I don't know what to tell you.

I always remember those July evenings when I had no sports to watch other than meaningless baseball. What I'd give on those nights for a Rams-49ers game.

And like someone else said above J'Ville has been to London a few times before, they knew and know what to expect. And this year the only teams that get an azz whooping are the teams my guys play on.........I'm 1-2 with Hunt-but unfortunately whimpy Julio and cowardly Carr..........there's always next year! Good luck this week.

Imagine being so perpetually triggered. Dude said he was done with the NFL, why is he still posting here?

He just loves the camaraderie of this site. So many relatable people who he's hoping will invite him to a picnic so he finally has an excuse to leave his grandmother's basement.

Great post and I would agree.

And last week that game was great.

May June and July toss them all in there.

Just another terrible idea by the NFL. They are over-saturating their product now and its not working. The London games are putrid and awful. The Thursday games are always terrible and even if they arent, hardly anyone is watching anyways. Ratings are down.

Whats next, Roger? Wednesday afternoon games? A game played in Uzbekistan? What an a-hole that guy is.

I'm rolling the dice with a few Miami players(Cutler,Ajayi,Parker) in a contest league based on this

I'm thinking if Gase said the above to reporters sh!t really hit the fan with no one around and we're in for a back-n-forth shoot-out.

Also like jocstrap posted above the London games for the most part have been high scoring and even Vegas has this at a 50.5 total, just hope it's not a 45-10 Saints blowout.

I don't get all the hate for London games, they just travel longer. Would anyone of watched the Jags-Ravens last week if it was 1 Eastern? The Dolphins - Saints game Sunday morning has the potential to be a nice shootout.

I really could care less about the NFL $ and ratings. It doesn't affect me or anyone I affiliate with.

I applaud your stamina

Usually im so frustrated with commercials, bad calls, and the terribly bad announcing by the first half I go work in the garage and listen to a game on the radio if that.

I love that our resident wordsmith, immenstral, gets baited to post 10,000 word boredom-fests that no one bother to read, and then accuses other people of being triggered. This loser writes novel after novel, day after day. Triggered is his middle name. What a dolt.

I don't like the London games. The product is bad and making a team play a "home" game overseas is moronic.
