Gurley for Melvin (standard scoring, looking to playoffs)
B_A_Baracus replied to B_A_Baracus's topic in A Little Help!
Good points, thanks for talking me off the fence. I do feel like I should keep riding with the guys that got me here if I expect to continue doing well. If I wanted anything more from my roster, it'd be switching Tyreek for someone a little more consistently great and less dependent on the blowup game (Thielen being the ideal this season.) And obv Kamara's last game has me rattled, but selling off with that kind of uncertainty isn't the best idea right now either. Thanks for the help, guys. -
Gurley for Melvin (standard scoring, looking to playoffs)

My team is: Mahomes/Roethlisberger Gordon/Kamara/Ingram/Cohen Tyreek/Hilton/Boyd/B.Cooks/Ridley/Baldwin Kittle/Reed 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/2FLEX/K/DEF, standard scoring, 10 team My team is 5-1, and with 3 of the 4 weakest teams ahead my chances at top seed are very good. My initial offer of Kamara/Tyreek for Gurley/Golladay was countered with Melvin/Boyd for Gurley/Golladay, which is a very good offer. My only apprehension on this trade is the "what if" on the Rams still-perfect season and whether the Bears/Saints/??? can keep up enough to prevent the Rams from locking up the #1 seed before week 16. McVay rested starters week 17 with their WC seed locked, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that it could happen for a couple games this year. It's a risk I would take with the Kamara trade, but if it happened with Gordon gone I feel like it could break my chances at the title. Thoughts? TIA -
McCoy owner entering the first week of playoffs (for whatever reason, we have them week 13-15.) After seeming fortunate to nab Parmele last week and losing him, grabbing Moreno right before he started, and getting Rodgers in waivers, I'm left with: Jacquizz Rodgers (vs NO) Ryan Mathews (vs CIN) Knowshon Moreno (vs TB) I'm assuming that the consensus will be to roll with Moreno, and I'd agree. Having a tough time with the other two though. Mathews's 6-8 points every week seems fairly close to the floor expectation for Rodgers against the Saints tonight. I mean, unless I have some reason that there's a reasonable chance that Mathews could hit double digits for the 2nd time this season, I might as well go off the promise of an increasing role for Jacquizz, right? Thanks in advance.

Starting Nicks Moore, need help Jones, Wallace or Alexander

Alexander. The tougher question would probably be Nicks or injured Julio. Might go Julio there. -
Ehhhhh, Gates. The talk on getting Britt more involved is just talk. Also, from Rotoworld: Titans OC Chris Palmer doesn't expect to see Kenny Britt at 100 percent until next season. "The Kenny Britt that I saw last year, he's not back yet," said Palmer. "It's not just the ACL. He's had other things going on ... I don't know if it's more frustrating to him or more frustrating to the coaches. You have a talent, and you're counting on this guy, and it's like everything, you just have to live through that period of time until he is fully recovered." Definitely Shorts. Don't like Gordon this week at all.

Yeah, agree on Ballard. Don't start Beanie.

Reece (definitely) and Mathews. Only way Brown has a big game is if McCoy has been missing something this season. I imagine CAR will be daring Foles to air it out, and their o-line is still the pits. Ballard and Parmele. Ballard has the start again (and vs BUF no less), and Parmele is going to be a workhorse today (whether an effective one or not is the question). Again, I worry that Philly might implode. Unless Brown is a singular talent, I'd stay with safer options.

Definitely go with DX. The other is tricky, because even with JJ starting, you obv don't want what happened last week to go down again this week. Blackmon clearly hit his peak last week. The question is whether that rapport with Henne continues and we see a more reasonable contribution to the offense, or if he completely disappears like, say, Ogletree. You can't discount what JJ has done or assume that he'll reinjure though, so go with him. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=413589

Hello, need a little help on this one. Absolute must-win, but am favored by a lot after a strong start from Andre and Keller (and my opponent losing Austin in-game and -2 from Texans D). So I could see trying for a homerun hitter to try to taking the total points prize (down by 22). RB Hillman, Parmele WR Colston, Decker Need 1 RB and a flex (Green is my other WR and obv starting, Mathews is my RB1 after McCoy being out). I currently have both RBs in. I've concluded that Colston is no better than a WR3 when Graham isn't injured, and going against SF adds an extra strike on him this week. Decker is mostly going to be matched up with Flowers, so I'm sure Manning will be more than happy to go to Thomas all day. And even with that, it's not like Denver will need to air it out much given their opponent. Thoughts? I'll reply to yours. Thanks. EDIT: Also, given the possible desire for a home run hitter...Ryan or Kaepernick?

Yeah, the RB choices are throwing me for a loop. McCoy owner, and my #3 is Rashad (who'll be dropped shortly). I think I'll be able to snag one of them, though I may not get my pick of the bunch. But if I did, I'm struggling to consider who to go for. All have concerns but can fill-in in what is a must-win game for me. Brown scares me because Reid is still a retard and McCoy has struggled mightily this year (but bonus points for the decent matchup and being able to wait till MNF to bench McCoy if necessary) Hillman scares me because of the unknown split with Ball (bonus points for being in a decent offense, and for being the lead guy through fantasy playoffs [useful if he's any good and Ryan Mathews keeps shitting the bed]) Parmele scares me because of the general flukiness of the Texans game, and that Rotoworld compared him to Jackie Battle (bonus points for playing the Titans, and Bills next week if I needed him) Probably like Parmele more because he's far away the most likely to get 20+ touches of the group.

FU to Chicago for taking a run up the middle on 4th-and-12 in the red zone on their penultimate possession. I mean, Gould gave me a very good game, but that was freaking stupid.
-
Hmmmm...I was looking at moving Colston on the idea that Graham's return will keep his production closer to beginning-of-season levels (which was supported by last week's game), but this could change things as long as they don't try to make Cadet a Sproles-clone.

Any team with a coach willing to name Brady Quinn as their unquestioned starter in 2012, and a GM that wouldn't immediately fire such a coach, would have to deserve strong consideration. And *insert something about giving Jamaal Charles 5 carries today*
-
The increasing role of Ryan Mathews worries me, but with the conditions looking bad for the game it's hard not to see Tolbert getting 20 carries anyway. I like Britt, but a team with little to play for going against a team with a solid (but not great) D fighting for a playoff berth has to be considered: meaning, that whole TEN offense could be stifled.
