kilroy69 993 Posted September 18, 2018 I was coming off the water and I saw a guy trying to get his lure untangled. He was wrenching it. Really getting into it. He was right off the boat dock and it has a ton of weeds. He keeps wrenching it and im like damn. Must love that lure. Turns out he had the biggest bass I have ever seen in real life on. Im not kidding. At least 6lbs and probably more. It was so ginormous. He asked if I could take a pic of it for him so at least he got it. Then I watched as he released it. Soooo sooo excellent. It makes me smile thinking i could catch that monster. It was just by far the biggest bass I have ever seen. Using a pumpkin seed lure...which i will be picking up tomorrow

GobbleDog 816 Posted September 18, 2018 I just got back from a fishing trip 60 miles offshore. I caught a 15-20 pound cobia, a 20-30 pound Amber Jack, and some trash/out of season fish including a few sharks, many red snapper, many remora, and other small reef fish. No pictures though. Time for me to pass out and then face the realities of work tomorrow. Cobia, aka Lemon Fish, aka LING! An elite fish to catch in my book. I only have 3. Djgb13 2,338 Posted September 18, 2018 When I was younger (about 14-15) I went deep sea fishing with my dad, BIL, my brother, and my uncle. They say it was deep sea fishing but it was really like a few miles out from Myrtle beach. Anyways, we are out there fishing and my uncle had been drinking. He goes to cast out and throws the entire focking rod out there by mistake. One of the guys working the boat sees it and my uncle is like *well sh1t. How much do those rods cost*. Dont remember the price but I know it was over $100. Anyway, the guy gets another rod set up and casts it out for him. While we keep fishing the guy is like *im gonna try and get the rod*. He casts out a rod with no bait and starts moving the rod around trolling the bottom of the ocean floor trying to hook the rod. Uncle is like *no way in hell hes getting that rod. Ill just have to pay for it*. 10-15 minutes later guy is like *i think I got it*. Starts reeling in. Reels in the focking rod. Grabs that rod, reels in it, and I sh1t you not there were two fish on it. One on each lure (had double on it). Uncle is standing there like *if I wasnt here to see this I would call bullsh1t* Only fish story I got but the most memorable one

lickin_starfish 1,479 Posted September 18, 2018 A fish story: My son and I went bass fishing on opening day in June of 2016. We ended up landing a 45" Tiger Muskie, and thought we would get it stuffed. The taxidermist still has it, doesn't answer his phone, and hid in his house when I went to ask him about the fish. I'm guessing that he ruined it.

I refuse to kill a fish. I am firm in my belief that if I had a great experience with it so should someone else. Not to say I do not eat fish. Just not anything I have caught for over 20 years. I take a good pic and then put it in my photo album.
