KSB2424 3,082 Posted October 9, 2018 My guess? Two things: 1. She has young children that she uprooted for this job 2. Just check out the last month. People yelled out of restaurants, death threats, the sheer stress of being a political person in the spotlight is enough to drive a normal person insane. I bet she's put on a brave face but has had enough of today's political climate plus no. 1 above.

And you get there in front of all your classmates, and they all laugh at your dad. That had to be tough.
crackattack 513 Posted October 9, 2018 Really like Nikki Haley. She was one of(short list) my favorite people in his administration. I hope it's not a health issue or something like that. It is pay attention to boobies month.

If only Jeff Sessions and that utter focking idiot Betsy DeVos would resign now...

If only Jeff Sessions and that utter focking idiot Betsy DeVos would resign now... I agree, especially with DeVos. On a side note. If she challenged Trump in 2020, I'd vote for her. Now, I think she'd be like Trump policy wise. I think she's strong, intelligent, independent thinker, but most of all she'd bring some dignity back to the office. Aside from his environmental policies, and tax cut for the mega-rich that's going to create a trillion dollar annual deficit. I agree with a lot of his policies. Especially his stance on immigration, our allies picking up more of the financial and military burden in European affairs, and the 2nd A. I just think he's an utter focking embarrassment and complete tool. Every time he opens his mouth or tweets it's just completely cringe-worthy.

I like a lot of the policies, but can't stand his childish behavior. I honestly believe he'd have an approval rating in the 60% range if it wasn't for his own stupid antics. crackattack 513 Posted October 9, 2018 I'll also give Trump credit for Kavanaugh. A lifetime politician would've bailed on BK. Trump stuck with it and won.

KSB2424 3,082 Posted October 9, 2018 This is a pretty dumb post. Were you really guessing or trying to find some way to blame liberals? Dumb how? Yes, it was a guess. I've seen interviews where she goes on about how she had to uproot her teenage children who grew up in South Carolina and move them at that pivotal age to New York and change high schools etc. That it was a hard decision to take that job personally wise. Also, you have to admit, you almost have to be half crazy to want to be in the political spotlight in 2018. Just look at all the nonsense we have seen the past year. I was hypothesizing that with all the nonsense going on, she wanted some semblance of normalcy back. I don't find that crazy in the least. I posted my initial reaction (first post besides the OP). Next time I'll wait and listen to CNN or somebody in Hollywood to tell me my opinion to make you happy.

Trump saw the big picture. Obama would have bailed on BK immediately, and the precedent would be terrifying.

You know the one I asked about trying to find some way to blame liberals. You probably should wait for someone to tell you your opinion.

seafoam1 1,878 Posted October 10, 2018 I was listening to far left radio show and they were convinced that something nefarious is going on with Haley's decision and Trump's role in it. That she can't deal with Trump anymore just like the rest of the world can't deal with him "spouting off continually and mocking her and the UN constantly" (their words). And they believe everything they make up is so true. Just nuts.

wiffleball 4,636 Posted October 10, 2018 Is she married? I know she has kids. What does her husband do? That'll be one hell of a financial hit for your ass to uproot your kids from South Carolina to New York? Screw that. On a government salary? . I'm surprised she made it this long. You know she'll be on like a hundred different corporate boards by Christmas.
Herbivore 905 Posted April 28, 2022 I saw Nikki Haley speak yesterday at a conference. Only caught the second half. She was trying to play it down the middle, but the righty lean was there. Nothing too deep in the chat. I think she is going to run.
