    Best backup RBs to roster

I can't believe there isn't more talk about Foreman. I picked him up for $0 on Saturday. He's the most talented back on a team frustrated by its largely ineffective backs, and he's due back week after next. Now, we are talking about an achilles, so it could be a few more weeks before he gets carries, but he could be a valuable player to own down the stretch, especially in 12-team or larger leagues.

    Taking advantage of default rankings

This is actually an excellent topic, and can provide a huge advantage if you can find outliers in your website's rankings, especially in auction drafts. For example, NFL.com, CBS, and Yahoo might have player X at $12, while ESPN has him at $2. And, yes, there are a LOT of outliers like that. If your draft is on ESPN, that's a player that you can confidently bid $8 on. Your league thinks you overbid, while consensus says you got a bargain.

    Powell

Don't think there's a more overrated player right now than C. McCaffrey.

For Those Waiting on TE this year

Every year, I'm tempted to take a top TE and every year I end up waiting and taking the late round high upside guys. And every year I don't regret it. I got Jimmy Graham the year he broke out. Same with Jordan Reed. Same with Kelce, Same with Julius Thomas. One of these years, I expect my luck to run out. It might be this year because I don't see any flashing lights with these guys. I think the most undervalued is Kyle Rudolph. My best late round bets are Austin Hooper and Jack Doyle, but I don't think either is a superstar in the making. You could see that sort of talent in Graham, Kelce and Reed, for example. Like you, I'm intrigued by ASJ. He DOES have superstar talent. Was a beast in college. Just not sure if the timing is right for him. I'd like him a little more as a bench stash than a TE2. Today's preseason game will be a good indicator of what to expect.

Who would you rather have on your bench as a flier?

Zay was simply awesome in the Senior Bowl, workouts and interviews. One of the most impressive players I've seen in a long time. He's going to be a stud. I'd go with him and/or Cooper Kupp.

This years Dak...not stats, just out of nowhere QB

Watson is the obvious answer. He looks really good. And if he were on any other team, he'd be the guy. Problem is, Tom Savage is a lot better than most people think. And considering the fact that the Texans win with defense, I don't see him getting replaced any time soon.

    Auction Strategy

I think the best advice is to just know your league. And as someone said above, zig when the league is zagging. I have some pretty smart players in my league, and they all, myself included, think they're smarter than everyone else. And so we tend to avoid the expensive edge and target undervalued players that make us look smart. Problem is, we ALL know exactly who the "sleepers" and "undervalued" players are. Because of this, we end up in ridiculous bidding wars for those players we MUST HAVE, often paying far more than they're worth. Well guess what? Now, they're no longer undervalued. I've fallen for this too many times. Especially when you look at how many top tier players went at a bargain because too many owners use this strategy. This year, I've identified players I want, and I won't take a player I don't believe in, but I'm focused much more on playing the draft than targeting the undervalued. There are a lot of players who fit into that category this year: Stefon Diggs, Isaiah Crowell...Poster boy for it year is Marcus Mariota. Yeah, I love him. Think he's going to put up great numbers this year. But every mock auction I've done, he's gone for 2 or 3 times his "consensus" value. He's gone from undervalued to overvalued.

    Auction Strategy

I think that's exactly why it can work. My 12-team league doesn't value QBs much either and so everyone waits to nominate them, often creating bidding wars in the middle of the draft and inflating prices. Every year, in my league, prices for all other position are roughly in line with consensus ADPs, except for QBs. I've been thinking the same thing as the OP: get those QBs nominated early forcing early commitments.
  9. Play him. A stat correction is far more likely than Miller giving you -2 points.

    Eifert going foward?

Every year I wait on a TE and it rarely fails me. This year it was Eifert and Reed. Year before Kelce. Couple years before that it was Jimmy Graham. Next year I'll wait again and look for next year's version of Eifert, whoever that is. But it seems every year the best TE (other than Gronk) is drafted late.

I am Now A Firm Believer in Zero RB Theory

Yep. I've been a believer for several years. Lacy, Bell, Anderson, Murray, Charles, Hill, McCoy vs. Ingram, Gurley, Ivory, Freeman, etc.

DFS - how much have you won?

That's what I've heard. If you're a smart player you can win "most" of them. And if you enter enough....

    Stefon Diggs....the real deal

I haven't missed a Viking game since 1989. 1. Diggs is for real. 2. Keeper players need to jump. 3. This season will be a mixed bag though. I do believe he's going to continue being the Vikings top scoring fantasy receiver. It's telling when you see the QB go to him on consecutive plays. That says something. It says Teddy trusts him. He sells routes well, he gets separation, and he catches the ball. Right now, he's the only receiver on the Vikings doing those things. However, the offense right now is just so inconstistent. The line is banged up, Teddy is struggling with protection and the Vikings will always be a run first team with AD in the backfield. So no, he's not Antonio Brown. Yet. He is, however, worth a waiver add. In fact, I think he's a high-upside WR3.

    Lamar Miller Usage Quick Hits

    Good advice, dude. :-)

    Lamar Miller Usage Quick Hits

DROP Miller? God, no. The level to which some of you overreact is ridiculous. Bench him? Sure. He's hurt and he's got some tough matchups coming up, then a bye. But after that bye you're going to want him back.
