JScott 20 Posted June 7, 2017 I like the Martin pick, despite the 2 games. He has the potential, little competition and the WRs/TE should take the roof off the D, leaving him room to run.

WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted June 8, 2017 yes 3 games. Â couldn't pass up a guy of his skill level at this turn though. Perfect RB3. You just treat him like owners did Le'Veon last year and boom, you've got a nice back on your roster come week 4. I also like that Winston has had so many good things to say about him. When its the coach or GM, youre never quite sure if it's coach speak. When its your QB, it lends more credence.
Vikings4ever 496 Posted June 8, 2017 I agree Martin is a great RB3. You're not depending on him, but he's got big upside once he comes back.
Vikings4ever 496 Posted June 8, 2017 Sent a list to Mike for my 7th. If we somehow make it back to my 8th, I shouldn't be too long.

Fumbleweed 426 Posted June 8, 2017 In my view, Roethlisberger shouldn't be a seventh round pick. I guess he gets hurt from time to time, but we made two of his weapons top four picks in this draft, plus Mike took a flier on Martavis Bryant based on immense talent alone. In order for all three to justify their draft positions, Ben's numbers will have to be great. Â I have learned a thing or two from this league over time and as ICE's team showed last year, having two dynamic QBs in the best ball format can be a very good thing. Were this not a best ball league, I might be looking to trade a QB after the draft, although I could use both and play the matchups. Â Either way, my pick should have come as a shock to no one. QBs are always undervalued in this draft and I just can't help myself.
Fumbleweed 426 Posted June 8, 2017 Mike should have V4E's pick.

remote controller 133 Posted June 8, 2017 6.10 - Donte Moncrief  Healthy to start the season, across from a dynamic play maker in Hilton, Donte is in his contract year. He has all the tools at 6'2" 221 pounds to take it to the next level. He has a 40% TD scoring rate in games he's played in. Last season was shortened by injury, yet he scored 7 TD's in 7 separate games of the 9 he played in. I am projecting 800 yards and 9-10 Td's.

remote controller 133 Posted June 8, 2017 7.03 - Frank Gore  1300 yards combined and 8 TD's in 2016. He played in all 16. The way this team lights it up through the air, 300 combined touches should be enough for a repeat. Gore is the consummate pro. I needed a workhorse #Rb also to offset the fact that Lacy and Zeke shared bye weeks. In Gore you get a great pass protector, receiver, and goal line threat. I needed a workhorse #Rb also to offset the fact that Lacy and Zeke shared bye weeks. In Gore you get a great pass protector, receiver, and goal line threat.  He's kind of like Emmitt Smith in a way. He just won't die! I remember every year for 3-4 years at the end of his career saying "he can't possibly keep this up for another season!" I'll draft someone else and sure as sh!t, he'd do it again.  ICEMAN
remote controller 133 Posted June 8, 2017 I'm not one to talk. I don't even have a #2 RB yet. My #3 is going to be awful. I wouldn't have made the pick myself if I didn't see him as the only remaining, to start the season, guaranteed work horse. That was brought on by my Bye week fiasco. Lacy is my least favorite pick in my draft.

Fumbleweed 426 Posted June 8, 2017 What do you all think we should do? Problem here is that JScott has two picks, so even if we make one, we're still stuck waiting for the next one. Â Given that it's the turn, I am willing to wait four hours for the picks, but at that point, we will need to make two picks simultaneously and move on. Thoughts? WhiteWonder 2,171 Posted June 8, 2017 This may be incorrect and also a weird time to bring it up but there was talk at the start of the draft about people intentionally checking out at 3:01 to be within the rules of draft pause at 5:00.... but I'm pretty sure the draft pause is 5:00 CST, no? So an East coaster is actively on the clock until

JScott 20 Posted June 8, 2017 Very unexpected/unconventional turn for me right there since I already had a TE and QB, but I went with pure value/potential over roster need. We'll see how it turns out.
JScott 20 Posted June 8, 2017 Very unexpected/unconventional turn for me right there since I already had a TE and QB, but I went with pure value/potential over roster need. We'll see how it turns out. Â If this was a normal draft, I'd make this move and then try and trade Luck and Kelce. So yes, unusual for No Hassle, but for a regular draft it makes sense. Â Plus it might push other drafters who were waiting on QB/TE into a different plan. Never know.
remote controller 133 Posted June 8, 2017 Good picks. Eifert/reed might cancel each other out week to week but they both tend to miss time, and cam can carry a week.

Old-style VBD drafting. You take value when and where you see it. I'm still married to VBD in many ways.
