Exec order on Obamacare

Recommended Posts

Or, you can read up on this and educate yourself and form your own judgment. But who am I kidding?

In short, Trump just guarantee that a minimum of about a million people and that's a minimum by the way, will drop any kind of payment for insurance and go back on the federal dime. That is estimated to cost at least 200 billion dollars out of the federal coffers.

On top of that, he'll likely Chase several providers out of markets entirely meaning even more people will jump on the federal dime.

Right now, there's a hell of a lot more Republicans scrambling to undo this than Democrats. Cynically, I think the Democrats are okay to sit back and say hey this is your guy that you backed sorry your kids aren't getting Health Care.

And those in the know that follow this have pretty much all agreed that trumps entire presidential agenda is just undoing anything that Obama did because Obama made a joke about him years ago and his thin skin just literally can't handle it.

Last, remember the 12 or 30 tweets that Trump did about how Obama is using executive orders and that as a deal guy he wouldn't rely on those things he could get deals done? Well this is just another case where Trump was lying out his ass. Even with a republican-controlled congress, he can't get a thing done.

You mean people actually get to make choices for themselves and families and not be forced to pay outrageous premiums to cover freeloaders. I'm pretty sure that's what you meant. I don't know though I've never read more than your first sentence

And if you even try to use the kids angle bs. Every kid in this country has medical coverage and has for a long time prior to Obamacare

Actually, you may want to educate yourself. Yet again. Or for the very first f****** time. Chip was allowed to expire just a little bit ago.

That is 9 million children f***** over.

Making America great again I see.

I don't care about poor kids having insurance. It's their loser parents fault, and they should work harder to provide for their children.

Now that's your choice to think that way. Just bear in mind that for a family of four the average average mind you is over $800 a month. And the average upfront deductible? Is around $8,000 annually.

I think Trump's going to have a really hard time when he starts to realize that some of the states that supported him the strongest? Are some of the biggest suckers off of the health insurance dime. I'm talking to you Mississippi. And West Virginia. Etc

And had Obamacare not been in place Medicare is available to all underprivileged and kids

So you prefer people not spend a dime of their own money on insurance, you'd rather they get it entirely from the federal government? You know that's not very Republican of you right?

So much for letting the free market compete and work itself out.

Why am I explaining this to you guys? Read whatever articles you want. I'm sure Hannity has some really cogent insights on this.

The only real question to ask yourself is why are dozens of Republicans scrambling like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs to try to undo their glorious leaders executive order?

Too late to get tax reform done. Too late to get infrastructure done.

Man, it's going to be a rough holiday break for a lot of these guys.

I have no problem spending money on Insurance, I have done it for the last 25 years, unfortunately, my premiums went from 400$ a month for my family to 1600 a month in the last year and a half

What I have a problem with is you forcing me to have insurance so that other people can get for free, and then jacking up my costs when its realized hey there really isnt enough money to actually do this

charge everyone in the country 3% of their income for medical fine, force me to buy insurance at your inflated prices then off

I am against any law that forces me to have something so others can have something for free.

I dont need any Fox news report to figure that out

So this is projected to cost the federal government close to $200 billion.

Once again, what happened to fiscal conservatism from Republicans?

Why is that question never asked from right leaning citizens?

its going to cost money if nothing is done, so spend the money to fix it. Fiscal responsibility isn't about not spending money. Its about spending it wiser, its obviously better to spend 25k cash on a car and buy it today, then spend 400$ a month for the next 6 years

Interstate commerce.

Why not at least give it a chance for health care?

I've been saying this since before Latin Pimp.

Looks like Trump is starting the War on Christmas season early this year:

https://www.google.com/amp/thehill.com/homenews/administration/355303-trump-were-saying-merry-christmas-again%3Famp

Focking catnip to the slack jawed retards who voted for this man.

I see you were up early. Did you get the coffee on for the bosses? They have a big meeting today.

You do understand that this EO focuses on the CSRs not the subsidies right?

Here's a link the CBO analysis of what cutting those will do:

https://www.cbo.gov/system/files/115th-congress-2017-2018/reports/53009-costsharingreductions.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwju8u2akvDWAhVD3mMKHadHAdEQFggpMAA&usg=AOvVaw0JE6Y57rVNDSjkMOvmookh

Here's some more math for *you*: Many of the states that voted for Trump are going to the most affected.

https://www.kff.org/health-reform/state-indicator/average-monthly-advance-premium-tax-credit-aptc/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel=%7B"colId":"Estimated%20Total%20Annual%20Premium%20Tax%20Credits%20Received%20by%20Marketplace%20Enrollees","sort":"desc"%7D

Where do you think the insurance companies are going to pass off that lack of money? Do you not think that premiums are going to skyrocket in this country as a direct result?

I understand you and others like you hate ACA. Thats fine. But Trumps EO doesnt go about getting rid of it in a manner thats going to help the insured.

This guy is supposed to be a dealmaker. Make some focking deals to fix what's wrong rather than send stuff into chaos.

I'm just waiting for the ball to drop that this EO was nothing more than a short-sell of insurance stocks...

There is no dealing with the Democrats. If they don't get everything their own way, they cry and stomp their feet.

Most people in this country aren't far left or far right, and we want both parties to work together to make the country better.

At $400/month you were being subsidized by someone else.

So they still go up and less people are covered? This must be one of those 4D chess moves I've read about.

Hold up, are you serious? We just went through years of Republicans having to vote against anything Obama supported or lose their party funding. One Congressman chose to filibuster his own bill because word got out Obama was willing to sign it. And, somehow, you think the other party is the reason they can't work together? Wow.

Nope, we cant do math. In fact, liberals have done very little in the 50+ years Ive been here. I have yet to live under a liberal govt of any kind. So what I dont get is why liberals are hated so much? They never have been in power to do anything, at least where I live. Ive had it up to my eyeballs with republicans, they have destroyed this state and several others. Keep them uneducated, in prison, or at least keep them away from the voting booth....the republican way. So special.

the worst state in the country is California, it was great in the 80's and 90's, then the libs took over and its a downright trainwreck

illegals have more rights than citizens

as far as prison, uneducated statement, thats the Democratic platform. Play the blame game, keep em on welfare and poor and tell them Republicans want to take it all away

as LBJ said "I'll have those n$$$ers voting democrat for the next 200 years"

Wow. Just saw a graphic that speaks to one of the things I mentioned originally;

Of the top Ten states that benefit most for the CSR's (Cost Savings Reductions) that Trump just nuked, NINE of them are states that voted for Trump. And it's not even close. On average, these states are are enrolled and getting the CSR's? It's been 2/3 and 3/4 of the enrollees.

I HATE UBUMMERCARE! Wait! YOU'RE GONNA UP MY PREMIUMS FOR IT? I HAS TO PAY A DEEEE-DUCK-TABLE? I didn't use to! What happened?

Seems like we're about to see if Trump was right about his voters being so clueless as to vote for Trump even if he shot someone in the middle of the street. When a bunch of BillyBob's start getting their toes 'ampatated' 'cause they can't 'ford their "dibeets' medsin, let's see if they can make the connection.
