    trade

Thanks for answering mine. I don't like this deal for you. Assuming you start 2 RBs, you'll be ok with Brown & Portis until Addai gets back. The upgrade to Gore at RB would not offset the drop off of going from Colston to Bowe at WR. The Saints have been airing it out all year - even without Colston. It's scary to think of the numbers they might put up when he comes back.

Trade Cotchery for Welker and McClain

Thanks for answering mine. I don't like this deal for you. You'd be getting a step down in receiver (your weaker position) and RB that will likely ride your bench 90% of the time.
  3. I'm currently sitting at 3-3. I have the 3rd highest scoring team, but seem to run into teams that go off each week (and the injuries to Westy haven't helped). We start to QBs and I view Delhomme as the major hole on my team (he's put up less than 5pts twice for me). I've been offered: McNabb TJ Housh J. Jones for Delhomme SJax Roddy White Thoughts on this deal? My main questions are: 1. Will SJax ever come around and turn into the guy I hoped I was buying in our auction? 2. Is Roddy for real? He's currently the #3 receiver in our league 3. Is TJ a dud the rest of the way? There are a lot of questions about Palmers health. The more I think about it, I'm giving up too much. Help me decide. Leave a link and I'll help you.

    Auction Leagues

Thanks Mike. I think the compiler is a great tool. I hope you didn't take offense to my originial post. I will try you suggestions. It makes sense that thre is only so much money to go around, which is why the compiler adjusts the values as it does. I was just comparing the values provided by the compiler to the values listed on under the rankings/projections and was thrown off as to why I could get the values for the top tier players to sync up, but the compiler would have much more $1 players.

    Auction Leagues

I've read the other posts regarding selecting different ranking methods (median or last starter drafted) and adjusting the baseline factors to come up with more reasonable dollar values. However, I still have a problem...I am able to come up with what I think are realistic dollar values for the top players at one position (ie. top 10 QBs range from $10 - $49). The problem comes in two places: 1. When I adjust the QB baseline factor to get not so many QBs with $1 values, the dollar values for the top 10 QBs drops. It's like it takes money away from these players and spreads it around to the lower ranked QBs. 2. When I adjust the baseline factor for any particular position, the dollar values for all other positions are also affected. I able to get realistic values for one position (like QBs), but the RB and WR values are too low. So I pump up the baseline factor for these positions, but then the QB values drop. This is my first year in an auction league, so I really don't know what to expect as far as bidding. I've used the compiler for four years now, and it's been great for drafts. Is calculating dollar values just one of the weaker points of the compiler?

how do you suggest i add some notes

I'd use comments. Select the cell you want to add the note to go to Insert --> Comments. This will allow you to add whatever note you want, but the note will be hiden untl you mouse over the red flag appears in the upper right corner of the cell.
