Dom Davis

Recommended Posts

I'm having a hard time plugging Davis into my list. He seems pretty high (mostly very late 1st round) in the expert lists. Yahoo has 1 now that has him 12th. I'm in a 12 team redraft. My problem is, everytime I read about him, most of the discussion is about his injury & him not practicing. How do you guys feel about taking him?

Depending on the scoring system, I'd put DD early to mid 2nd round in a 12 teamer. Passing over Bush in the draft showed the HOU coaching staff has confidence in DD, but it IS a new coaching staff and new offense. Including his injury history it's these question marks that put DD a little lower than most on my board.

I honestly have never been a DD fan, so I know I will never get a shot at him because I rank him much lower than the average person. I'd say mid 2nd is about where he should be.

Thanks ;)

Agree with Ainsley. DD is dangerous due to his health issues. I don't worry about previous injuries except when they linger into the next season. His recover is not going fast enough to feel good about his prospects as your first RB. I'd be very cautious with him.

DDavis is worth a lot more in league's that give points for receptions. He's about 15th overall in basic, but moves up to 11 or 12 in leagues with receiving points. He catches a lot of balls and gets ton of yards. I always expect him to miss 2 or 3 games to injuries, so you want to have a good backup. When he's healthy he's hard to top in fantasy. With the new running game coming to Houston he could put up huge #'s.
