Keeper League with IDPs, Spots are now filled

The spots have been filled. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.
  2. Two people have dropped out of a keeper league I run. Keeper deadline is August 27 at 5:00 pm ET (if those spots aren't filled by then I'll pick each team's keepers to the best of my ability so whoever does eventually take them over isn't behind the eight ball). Lineups are as follows 1 QB 1 RB 1 RB/WR 1 WR 1 WR/TE 1 TE 1 K 1 DL 1 DB 2 DP (players of any defensive position) 10 BENCH Autodraft will take place 5 am Sunday morning, August 31. Some restrictions have been placed on positions for the autodraft to prevent it from going crazy on one position, but will be loosened afterward. Email me at perceptorii at gmail dot com, private message me or leave a post here if you're interested.
  3. Like the title says, I need two people to take over teams in an ESPN keeper league with IDPs. The keepers on the two teams: #1 QB Peyton Manning, Ind RB Ronnie Brown, Mia WR Darrell Jackson, SF #2 RB Rudi Johnson, Cin WR Steve Smith, Car WR Roy Williams, Det If interested, please e-mail me at perceptorii AT gmail DOT com

*** OFFICIAL *** What do you need Monday night?

League #1: Need 18 points from Bernard Berrien. League #2: Need Rex Grossman to score less than 30 points. League #3: Same as #2, including the point total. Freaky.

    What do you need tonight?

This week I need to come from behind in all three of my leagues. DETROIT STREET DELIVERANCE: Needs: Donovan McNabb and Donald Driver to combine for more than 3 points. Chances: Almost certain 5 DOLLARS A GALLON: Needs: Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook and Donald Driver to combine for more than 93.53 points. Chances: Slim...I could use a game like 51-45 tonight. ORRVILLE QUERYMEISTERS: Needs: Brian Westbrook to score more than 4.8 points. Chances: Very good, though you never know when that knee will break.

    Did Hasselbeck fock you?

I came into the Sunday night game up by 9.8. I had Hasselbeck and Westbrook still to play, he only had Berrien. I figured that I'd have this week clinched after this game. Not so. Berrien got 17.3 points, while Hasselbeck only got 1.7. This league penalizes 4 points per interception (balanced with 6 pts per TD). If it hadn't been for one 19 yard run, Hasselbeck would have cost me points. Westbrook can bail me out by scoring at least 6.8 points.

    COLSTON 87 YD TD

Have him, but had him on the bench. After that, I won't complain if Colston benches me in his I.T. guys league.

    Question about Yahoo add/drops

From Yahoo! Fantasy Football's page regarding "Transaction Deadlines":

    Points left on your bench

No regrets, as I still win this week as long as Bernard Berrien doesn't outscore Matt Hasselbeck and Brian Westbrook combined by 9 points or more points. Still, there are a few spots I could have done better. Should have started: Marques Colston (19.2 pts) In place of: Braylon Edwards (7.5 pts) Should have started: Laurence Maroney (26 pts) In place of: LaDainian Tomlinson (10.5 pts) (No way am I ever benching LDT!) Should have started: Zach Thomas (11.5 pts) In place of: Keith Bulluck (7 pts) Ah well. You live by your decisions, you die by them. Such is fantasy football.

    Andrew Walter

And the final tally for Walter: 9-23, 68 yds, 1 TD, 1 int. Four points in standard scoring. Hope you weren't desperate enough to start him.

If Clev played Clev would anyone win?

*Pssst!* Someone tell him Charlie Frye, Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow and Kamerion Wimbley woke up, realized they were playing the Raiders, and won.

    Kellen Winslow

I totally disagree. He is definitely cocky in declaring himself the best tight end in the league, but he also worked his tail off to prove it. During training camp you could tell he wanted the season to begin right then so he could go out and prove it. And now that he's finally back on the playing field, he's proving it. Winslow is cocky, but he's also a winner. Speaking as a Browns fan, I wish we had five more of him.

Who to start at wide receiver

WRs off one of my fantasy teams: Marvin Harrison (@ NYJ) Derrick Mason (vs SD) Matt Jones (@ Was) Marques Colston (@ Car) Braylon Edwards (@ Oak) I can start 2 WRs. Harrison is an obvious pick. I'm torn as to which other receiver to start this week.

    Top 5 Most Surprising Players

Biggest surprises by position: QB: Rex Grossman--Who knew the Bears would have a stronger passing game than running game? RB: Brian Westbrook--Not that he wasn't expected to do well, but he's been a dominant fantasy player. He and LaDainian Tomlinson have been far and away the best RBs in fantasy. WR: Marques Colston--Lots of candidates here (DJax, Laveranues, Cotchery, Berrien, Toomer), but raise you hand if you'd heard of Colston before the regular season started. TE: D Clark--Dallas or Desmond, take your pick. Desmond has emerged as a weapon in the surprisingly solid Chicago passing attack. Dallas has more touchdowns (2) than Harrison and Wayne combined (0). K: Robbie Gould--I starting to think I'm beating a dead horse, but who knew Chicago was capable of giving him a decent number of oppotunities? Incidentally, case in point that you shouldn't pick a kicker early, here are the top four kickers: Robbie Gould, Nate Kaeding, John Carney, Jeff Wilkins.

    Hasselbeck owners!

Unless you somehow have a second stud QB (Peyton Manning, McNabb, Palmer or Brady--I'd include Eli but he'll definitely have a subpar week ), you don't bench Hasselbeck.
