Jeffery and Langford

Recommended Posts

6-5 and really need a win this weekend to make playoffs. Want to play both these guys obviously, but can't afford Jeffery to be limited/decoy or for Langford to truly be in a back-up role. With respect to Langford, if I sit him, it will be for Abdullah as West is dinged up and not going to play I don't think.

Ugh. Anyone else trying to decide what do with these two Bears? FOCK THURSDAY FOOTBALL!!!!

C'mon man! It's Thanksgiving... the one Thursday that football is worth while!

I have a feeling they'll lean heavily on Forte this week, so I don't think Langford has much value. I'm holding on to him just in case though.

I think both of them are going to get work , it's going to be the hot hand wins . I don't like it not this week .

Speaking about Forte and Langford .

I don't see the Bears rolling out Jeffery unless he is ready. I expect a solid outing. As for Langford that's a tough call...I expect Forte to slide back in as RB1 with Langford's opportunities really limited. Obviously go West if he plays, but I might swing for the fences here and go Abdullah over Langford, this guy has to break out on at least one play this year (besides kick returns).

Ian Rappaport just said on NFL Network that Forte is the Starter In Name ONLY... Roll with Langford, or too risky?

What does that even mean? He knows nothing inside in regards to their useage

I don't know how it will play out but my interpretation of Rapports comments are that Forte will start but Langford will get more work tonight.

Langford will get goal line work as well as a third down assignments.

Matt Forte | CHI

(November 26, 2015 10:37 AM EST)

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Matt Forte (knee) will be the "starter in name only" the rest of the season.

Rapoport said the plan is to have a "two-headed monster" with Forte and impressive rookie Jeremy Langford, who Rapoport said is viewed as the "not just the future but the present" because of his explosiveness. This was always a concern considering how well Langford played and that Forte is a free agent following the season, but it is not as if Forte will disappear from the offense entirely. The veteran should get enough work to remain in the RB2 conversation the rest of the way.

The amount of touches they give to RBs I think both could start in 2015 version of fantasy football

Not sure I want to put forte out there yet without seeing the split though

I'm more confident starting Langford as a borderline RB2/ Flex rather than a not 100% RB1 in Forte. The low risk/ high reward is in Langfords favor.

Also, what Pack team will show up? Will game flow determine the split?

But fantasy is all chance, right?

I have Langford, and he hes obviously been doing well. In saying that, I want to actually see how this shakes out before I commit to him. A reporter can say one thing, what actually happens on the field is a different story. If Forte is starting, then Langford goes to my bench for this week and I'll watch and see how they are used. Itd be nice if they use him a bit, I got Leveon Bell and Forsett out for the season, so I could really use the help. I just worry that Forte starts, he dominates the touches, and Langford only gets like 6 touches.

I am in similar dilemma, the Bears also like to disseminate disinformation, but cold weather plus a guy with a knee injury makes me believe it will be a 50/50 split.

It's settled. I sat The Terrorist which is so far looking like a good call and I'm playing Langford. I already also have to start Bernard and with West likely out I'm gonna roll the dice that The Bears run a ton tonight or at least use short passes a lot and that Langford gets 15 touches even if Forte starts and plays a lot.

Fingers crossed!

Chicago will not be frozen tonight - it'll be mid 40s with rain. The pack is always a rivalry game, but without Bennett or Alshon I see the rbs getting a ton of work.

I have the same decision. Langford could be my RB2 - instead of Gore - or he could be my FLEX, instead of either JReed or Delanie Walker.

I think I have to sit him, even though he could have a pretty good stat line split out as a WR, plus having probably 10 carries.

I would play Langdord ahead of Gore. Prolly get the same amount of touches with younger legs and better production. I'm sitting Gore this week for sure...

Have to decide between Forte and M. Bryant at Flex

Bryant. Hawks are gonna try and double Brown and Bryant will have a few deep throws headed his way...

That's what I was thinking and running will be tough on Hawks

Have to decide between Decker and Jeffery in the next 2 hours

Hopefully during the game lead-up they focus on on Forte and Jeffery and make it an easy call. I'm in the same boat, trying to decide between Jeffery and Diggs in the flex.

15 mph winds, rain. Not too bad. But I get worried that the Bears will go with a run heavy attack and pound forte and Langford all night, control the clock so packers can't get up on them too much.

If anyone is getting pounded in that game, it's Rodgers. He looks like a pillow biting catcher.
