Voltaire 4,556 Posted January 12, 2018 My dad never had enough money to pay for a lawyer to put him through bankruptcy. Instead, the way we handled it, we'd put up with about 5-10 hyper-aggressive collection agencies harassing phone calls every day for many years on end and threw their letters that flooded out mailbox in the trash. This time frame covered about six years of my junior high and high school experience. He never paid them a dime. By the time I got back from the Army, things'd mostly settled down. BunnysBastatrds 1,913 Posted January 12, 2018 Please tell me you are incorporated. And that you didn't borrow monies yourself to support it. We are. But Dad borrowed a lot of money to keep it going. Paid his house off, and then spent $180 grand to keep it going over ten years. I borrowed money from a bank loan. Credit account. 50 grand. Have 11 grand left as of today. My E&O insurance is due tomorrow. No way to pay for it. You know how it works. My only option is to file. Just paid the gov a lot for payroll taxes for November and December. Gotta go.
