    Is Chris Carson toast?

I think Carson will be fine. Rainy condition on this one. He's still the best back here.

Instant Fantasy Analysis - RB Rashaad Penny, Seahawks

I LOVE this pick myself. To me RB was my #1 want. Carson, yes - Has a shot to be ok. But, he showed for only 2-4 games and then got hurt. He never really even had over 100 yards I don't believe. Who knows what he's going to do after injury. (i.e see Rawls) Carson is a 7th rounder with no draft status. We have nothing else IMO after him that can handle a load. Getting a stud 1st round RB IMO is a big need! We have to fix that running game and it's not all about the line. We brought in a great blocking TE, and we've spent TONS of draft capital on our line already. (Picks, Draft picks, Free agents, etc.) No way did we need to address the line again. We just need to let them grow up and the new coaches can help with this as Cable and Bevel sucked ass. The RB choice I love too. Explosive. The best stats even over Barkley. Best RB to break tackles. Runs through the middle and shows he has the ability. Can break away with speed and go the distance. Not a lot of wear and tear other then one year. Perfect attitude. Bowling bowl type. Perfect size at 5'11 220 and ran 4.4 range. (Better then others mentioned) Has play making ability with kick return TD's. I saw some down the field catches. I think he's fine there too. 3 down back for sure! My only concerns would be pass blocking. I think he can improve. Small school and competition. This is probably the biggest concern. M. Faulk came from here though. Great RB's come from small schools sometimes. Love the pick! Go Hawks. P.S. - Don't trade Earl.... (Need more then a 2nd if you do)

    Seahawks greatest offseason ever.

I'd say clean house with Bevel and Cable, and some players that don't buy in. But, not Wilson. He's our franchise, and if you can't see that by now then your truly missing something. Maybe a new offensive scheme would help you see the reality. I'd say not Pete either, since he actually helped win a SB for a losing franchise that never won anything before. Pete relies on an Offensive Coordinator. You don't see Pete with a playbook do you? He was always more of a def mind anyway. No, it was Bevel running the show on offense with Cable. They need to conform to Wilson skills better, call a better overall game plan with screens, RB throws, quick plays, better offense in general, etc. Complete philosophy change - New coordinators could do this. But gutting all players is stupid.

    Seahawks greatest offseason ever.

I agree 1000%..... Although I'll take it a step further and Cable should go too. He's done nothing to help the run game and line, with a ton of draft capital spent. But, Bevel was a big issue. Can't call a valid game and his schemes are old, predictable, and not good. The only time we did anything was when Wilson broke out of the called play and made something out of nothing. It's no wonder that ALL our good coaches have been plucked away, yet year after year nobody wanted Bevel. HIT THE ROAD. Couldn't be more happy today.

    Playoff fantasy football

I play in a playoff league similar to the above post.... We have a snake draft. (Usually 6-8 people per league) Pretty standard point system. Then we pick our players (Deep draft like 18+ rounds) Very typical of a normal reg. season league. Sometimes lineups very. I prefer simple 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1Kick, 1Def. Once your players are eliminated from real football playoff's, then of course you can't use them anymore. But, you have a nice bench to plug others in. Fun. It's probably the only kind of setup I'll play. Payouts go to top 3 scoring teams/starting rosters, after the SB. Half the entry goes to the highest 1 week scorer. I've realized, I suck at starting the right players. But, good at drafting, setting up my board, deep bench, etc. So no interest whatsoever in a league like Draft Kings or best lineup type of thing where everybody can pick the same players. Not as much fun either.

I have some concerns with Pocics pick. He played center 90% of the time. So them saying he can play all positions, and I guess he did limited, there is no real good tape showing he can actually do it and do it well. Also, the Center position, while it has other major challenges and skill to it, IMO leads to more success as a blocker. They are tucked in the line and get help by big guards and speed is not a factor as much. Hard to get by the center and guards. This is why I think Britt excelled here FINALLY. It's a little easier to block at center IMO where Britt struggled at all the other positions. Plus most of the other guys sucked so bad that maybe we didn't notice Britt as much. hahaha So to me, I'm not sure Pocics converts in the NFL as well as his tape looked since I couldn't see it outside of center. ALSO, we passed on 2 stud LT's that actually could maybe even play LT in the NFL, if not RT or guard. So the pick is hard to swallow. That being said, I liked what I saw on tape out of Pocics. He was a great pass blocker and NEVER seemed to get beat. He pulls out too and looked really good. I liked what I did see on tape. I also wonder if this is Britt ins. since he'll be due a contract increase soon. Not to mention the potential backup center roll would be important to have even though that would suck that another pick was screwed up in J. Hunt. SO actually, the pick makes more sense if your looking at it this way too.... Anyway, I would think the center job is Britt's for sure this year. So I see Pocics competing at RG. I can't see him at the tackle positions, but again, I didn't seem him do much of anything other then Center. I do think Ifedi moves this year If anybody and I think he can do well at it. But, the best man takes the job and if Pocics isn't up to the part he may not even start? And that will make me not like this pick more. I would guess he's RG though and next to Ifedi/RT and Britt to help him out and work him in.

I like the pickup of Skyler Howard/QB out of WV 2015 - 3145 yards, 26 TD's 14 int. (long of 70) 2016 - 3328 yards, 26 TD's 10 int. (long of 71) (9 rushing TD's) Kid is definitely tough and I think could handle the NFL. Has some running ability and like R. Wilson seems to always have his eyes looking downfield when he does run. I like his poise in the pocket with good arm. He seems to evaluate the field pretty good. From what I saw his touch on the ball was good, which is pretty big. Played against some top talent teams. His size looks like his main weakness (Like R. Wilson) 6'0. Saw some batted down balls. If the NFL is to big for him then that would be his problem. However, he did slide around the pocket nicely and found good passing lanes. Smart enough to use his dump off's, etc. Looks to have a good deep ball, but didn't see to much. I need to see some more games still. Very Interesting pickup though! I like it.

I kind of like this pick myself. I think he'll be better then the first Safety we drafted! Personally, I would have rather had Budda Baker or OBI and keep both these picks for other positions. But, this guy is a great coverage safety, team leader and calls on the field leader, as well as part of one of the best Def in the nation or at least pac 12. He can dissect a play quickly and goes fast in coverage. Goes a little slower on run support. He's a very good candidate for Earl Replacement and may even be able to play a little nickel corner for us right away. I think his only weakness is that he's a little hesitant on run support, unlike Earl that is torpedo quick. He's very fast and quick back peddle though. His coverage skills are fantastic. The other safety is more of a strong safety, so Kam replacement, but he's not strong enough or heavy hitter. I'm not sure he'll work out even. He tends to stay back and misread plays a lot, unlike Tedric. Not as good in coverage either. I'm not a fan of that 3rd round Safety pick. Just my thoughts on what I see.

Instant Fantasy Analysis - WR Amara Darboh, Seahawks

IMO I think he could be our best pick. I like the kid. Ran somewhere near 4.4 and over 6'1 or so. He can make every catch and looks to be a good route runner from all the tape I've seen. Seems like he can even get deep. Good to great hands. He's got huge potential to grow too. Played against pretty good college talented schools. Put it this way: He crushed our 3rd round Corner we drafted and made him look silly slow for I think 2 TD's or at least one bomb and a ton of catches. And that corner ran 4.35 at combine. But, I'm not sold on that corner sadly. Can't believe Hawks passed on all the good ones. Anyway, I like this WR who does block well. He will easily replace J. Kearse someday soon. F.F. don't bother, but for our team this was a good pick IMO. One of few. The corner we drafted on the other hand - UGH. We'll see. His speed better pan out cause this guy torched him.

I don't get the chance to come here much anymore, but just thought I would check in at least once. First, I LOVE what they did so far. Moved down only 8 spots and gained 3rd, EARLY 4th , and 7th I believe. Very nice. All the guy's I like are still on the board except TJ Watt and Peppers, but both not real needs. However, unless it's only 1-5 slots I will be ticked if we trade down again. I think we need to pick here! In fact, I would move up with our late 2nd rounder (maybe give one of our 3rds) to get back higher in the 2nd and grab one of these corners, safety's, DE's, UW guy's, unless they keep dropping which I doubt. Anyway, I'm thinking Cam Robinson here. I REALLY want a corner though, but we should still be able to land one with our other 2nd. Another reason I'd like to move up with that pick though. King is the other great choice here. He's got all the measurable's that seem perfect. Great combine. Coverage corner. I would be real happy with that pick too. REAL HAPPY. Worried about his tackle ability, but he makes so much sense here. OBI I also really like. But, I don't agree he can be converted to Corner. He's a strong safety all the way. If he could get on the field somehow, then that makes for a great pick too. If he can cover TE's for example? I don't see him as a corner at all though. Lamp might be a good pick here too, but I don't like any other Oline here other then Lamp and Robinson. I also love Budda Baker and Jones and there is 2 or 3 other good corners too. Love to see Jones in the 3rd, but I doubt he lasts that long. Again, I might move up with the late 2nd if some of these guy's are gone. My dream: Pick Robinson here, and somehow make sure you get King too. But if not, then get one of the other D-backs. King & Obi or Budda would be nice combo too. (But, Luke Jackel had better turn out) Should be a fun day! UPDATE: Actually, I think I have Lamp ahead of Robinson now after watching a bit more tape. Robinson also had arrest, drug issues I believe and something looked off when he wasn't getting picked yesterday. Pretty heavy too. Lamp benched 34 good number and smart and perfect size. I liked Lamps tape the more I watched. Great pass pro. Needs to stay engaged just a bit longer.

Crystal Ball - Waiver Wire Gem 2016

I think it will be R. Kelley. I just picked him up in one of my leagues, but he's available in all my others still. Another that I like is Buck Allen. He's been drafted, but he already got dropped in one league. He might be that drop/pick back up guy. I bet he's the starter when it's all said and done. Last year I drafted Lewis with my last pick and Freeman, but I dropped Freeman after it looked like Coleman was starting. Couldn't get him back. SICK

O line changes and their impacts

I think they ultimately drafted him to be our tackle. He played Tackle in college and was great. I think he could even do LT, but RT for sure. However, hard to say if they saw him as a stud guard all along OR just thought the transition was easier for his rookie year? (Opposite of Britt where they rushed him at RT and it failed) I'm assuming they are taking it slow this time and where this is still a great need at guard for us. But, I think he's good enough to be a tackle down the road for sure. I never heard he took reps at tackle though. That's pretty cool to hear. They do like everybody to be well rounded and play multiple positions across the line. Helps with depth of course.

    This seasons Tyler Lockett/Jarvis Landry?

One last point: Miami had R. Matthews last year who did in fact take 43 catches and almost 700 yards and 4 TD's away. While I do see Parker getting much more work in, this is one WR that is now gone to Tenn. who did pretty decent. And K. Stills sucks (even though he's having a nice preseason like usual) I also think Miami could "potentially" have more production overall. Tannehill is the key there though. He's the real problem right now if anything to Landry. Landry had room to improve. Redzone being #1. But, a 3rd year guy can defiantly improve. I doubt he regresses. Parker is no sure thing either. what if he goes down again? Then Landry get MORE work then last year with no Matthews and Miller. Sometimes WR's can be better with a good opposite WR too. Maybe Parker will demand #1 corners freeing up Landry?
