    Week 1 Waiver Wire Targets

Danny Amendola. Stafford targeted him 13 times yesterday and looked his was a lot in preseason in limited time. I think he's the Detroit WR to own over Golladay and MJ. KennyG and Marvin will have some big games, but Amendola is going to put up ~15pts +/- 5 consistently I believe.

Am I Getting Screwed? (Trade timing dispute)

UPDATE (If anyone cares) I didn't get screwed. The commish cited the FAQ on FleaFlicker which says: WARNING If a trade is processed with a mix of players that have locked for the week and players that have not yet locked, teams may be left with an imbalance for the current week. So the trade stands as is and I keep my win. We can all put our pitchforks down.

Am I Getting Screwed? (Trade timing dispute)

In the case of my league it's a little more complicated. It's a 4 tier ~1,200 total team redraft league. Each tier has multiple divisions and each division has 4 12-team "leagues". You only play teams in your league. If you win the season you move up a tier next year and the bottom 2 teams are demoted the next year. The "Commish" is a group of 5-6 people that run the whole thing, there is no individual veto, so the 24 hour period is to give anyone in the league time to notify one of the commissioners of collusion and an investigation to happen. Been playing in this one for 7 years and this is the first time I've encountered a trade that was partially processed between Sunday - Monday. https://narffl.com/

Am I Getting Screwed? (Trade timing dispute)

Correct. My opponent was trading with another team.

Am I Getting Screwed? (Trade timing dispute)

I should also add that he didn't even raise the issue until this morning when he realized he lost (he was leading by 17 and I had Fitzpatrick yet to play before MNF). I agree that it's a bad situation for both of us. It sucks that he lost that way and I feel kinda sh!tty making a stink about it but at the same time, why accept a trade on Sunday at 4pm without knowing the consequences? Especially if you NEED the player you are trading away this week. Why not just wait until Tuesday?

Am I Getting Screwed? (Trade timing dispute)

Huh? I can tell you didn't read the whole thing. I'm not the one doing the trading. My opponent is the one who accepted a trade at 4pm on a sunday and is pissed that his Conner got pulled from his lineup on Monday and he lost because Conner hadn't locked because he hadn't played yet. He is now trying to get the commish to retroactively put a benched player in his lineup because he lost. I'm the one advocating for the rules as they are posted on our league website.
  9. Here's the situation. My league has a 24 hour review period, and players lock at the start of their own game time. The league is on FleaFlicker. H2H matchup, the opposing team accepts a trade at 4pm on Sunday. The trade is his James Conner and Marvin Jones for AJ Green. Going into Monday night he's leading and has left Conner in his lineup and I have Fitzpatrick. Because of the 24 hour review period (no vetoes) the trade is processed on Monday at 4pm which removed Conner from his lineup but the other players (Jones and Green) stay on their respective tesms until today because of the roster lock. He did not replace Conner in his lineup after the trade partially processed and took a 0 at his RB2 spot and I win by 7. BTW he left Marvin Jones on the bench and started an RB at FLEX, so he had options to fill a lineup and win the matchup plus Jacquizz, Nix and Ridley were FAs that he didn't pick up and he had an open bench spot going into Monday which he had 4 hours to do so. He also had Kerryon Johnson on the bench and is now petitioning the commish to retroactively put Kerryon into his lineup and get the win because he says he would have started Kerryon if he would have known he was going to lose Conner before game time. Here is a direct copy-paste from our gameday trade rules: Trade Processing If a trade is made less than 24 hours before game time, you can message the mods to get it pushed through right away. Game Day: If you want a game-day trade to go through both parties must message the mods asking for it. The message must also include a link to the trade. Sending this message is acceptance that the trade may go through at any time before the first game, and it is your responsibility to adjust your lineup accordingly. If both players do not message the mods, the trade will be completed at the normal ending time. To my knowledge, neither party to the trade contacted the mods about this trade. This is BS right?

    The FU Thread

Needed 41 out of Landry and Brady and I get that steaming puddle of diarreha from Brady. FU just f'ing retire. FU to the lions run game (had Riddick on the bench) and FU to the cowboys run game (started Morris and had Smith on the bench)

    Matthew Stafford

Reporters were saying yesterday that he was in the locker room with a towel wrapped around his hand to hide it.

Is the Saints Defense a Fluke

Losing Tate is going to really hurt. I like Marvin Jones, but he's not the consistent downfield threat they thought they were getting. He can't seem to get separation consistently enough. Whether it's talent or scheme is debatable. With Tate down and likely to miss a few weeks he might see a slight uptick in production. The other guys that might be viable for bye week flex fill ins are TJ Jones and Jared Abbrederis (sp?). They will likely platoon the slot in place of Tate. We really haven't seen enough of Golladay to know what he might be. I picked up Golladay off the WW before week 1 (didn't start him week 1 though ), then had to drop him due to other roster needs. He has the tools to be a good downfield and red zone threat, but he's only played 1.5 regular season games so far. If you have the space on your bench he's worth stashing since he's likely to return week 8 after the bye. I'm probably going to try to get him back if possible within the next 2 weeks.

Is the Saints Defense a Fluke

Honestly, I was shocked when I saw his stat line after the game. Stafford played like and he still threw for 312 and 3 TDs. All of his INTs were off of tipped balls (see my previous post) and his fumbles were due to his limited mobility because of high ankle sprain/hamstring injuries he was playing through. Another thing is that we were down to 2 OL starters (Swanson and Glasgow) by the start of the 4th quarter. Lang (RG) didn't play at all, Robinson (LT) got hurt in the 3rd and Wagner (RT) got hurt in the 4th, then his backup got hurt worse (same guy also got blown up so bad that he got thrown into our backup guard's leg and hurt him, se we were down to 3rd string RG) so Wagner had to come back and play on a bad knee/ankle to finish the game. Fells (our 2nd string TE) was next man up if there were any more injuries to the OL.

Is the Saints Defense a Fluke

Lions fan here. We made the Saints D look good. The league has figured out Cooter Ball and most fans are already getting tired of James Robert Vagina's "offense". They were all over every play call and knew where Stafford was throwing the ball on almost every play. D-Lineman would pull up and bat balls with perfect timing. We always run the exact same plays out of certain formations. FB in the game - run up the middle. Riddick in, pass play with Riddick running an angle route. 3-wide, Tate crossing route and Jones is the deep man.. Same old story. Once defensive co-ordinators get enough game tape they eat us alive. Same thing happened when we had Lombardi. Cooter needs to change things up over the bye or we can kiss the division goodbye after it was dropped in our laps.

Week 6 FU - The Joy of Painting Edition

FU Henry. I was up by 3 before that garbage time TD run. FU Colts D. How many guys had a shot to tackle him/push him out there?
