Week 7 K/TE bye problem and solution

Right, many league management sites lock transactions once games begin for the week. But some sites don't, and the above strategy is viable there.
  2. Here's a possible strategy if both your TE and K have a bye in Week 7. Normally I'm not too attached to a kicker, and will just drop him and go with another one to avoid a bye week. But this year there are a couple of kickers with Week 7 byes that people might be interested in keeping (e.g., Wilkins, Gould). A number of tight ends are also on bye in Week 7, so people may be faced with having to sacrifice RB or WR depth in order to fill two holes (K, TE) in Week 7. Here's a possible strategy: 1. Before Week 7, pick up the K having the best matchup in Week 7, who plays on Sunday. 2. On the Monday of Week 7, cut the K from step 1 and pick up A. Fasano (DAL) or V. Shiancoe (NYG), who are playing on MNF. (If your league management site allows this.) In effect, this would require losing only one of your RB or WR depth, instead of two. It is probably a viable strategy to use a probably low-scoring scrub TE because your opponent will probably also be dealing with bye week problems. But make sure to check his lineup for Week 7; if he is looking strong, you may have to lose two of your RB or WR depth spots in order to get a better waiver wire TE than the scrubs involved in the above strategy.

    Kubiak Says Lundy to Start

OK, the Chronicle article is much better than the original Fort Wayne article that I expressed concern over.

    Kubiak Says Lundy to Start

Right, but Lundy could start in the Texans' next preseason game, and Morency could start in Week 1. The article does not disprove that possibility, and is thus ambiguous. Of course the article is unambiguous regarding Davis, but who cares about that? The issue is Lundy versus Morency.

    Kubiak Says Lundy to Start

Actually, the article cited is a bit ambiguous for me. Is Kubiak saying Lundy will be the starter for the Texans' next preseason game, or that Lundy will be the starter for Week 1? Either of those interpretations could be true given the information in the article. I agree that waiting is the best course.

    Pittman and Cadillac

I am. I expect Cadillac to get one TD then get benched, so I don't expect much. However, I don't really have much of a choice, since my other RBs are Alexander (bye) and J Jones (inj).

    **Official 7-0 Teams Thread**

7-0 in 10 team league: QB, RB, 2 WR, Flex, TE, K, DEF QB: Hasselbeck, Brunell RB: Alexander, Jackson, T Jones, Perry WR: Holt, S Smith, J Smith, McCardell, Kennison TE: Cooley K: Rackers DEF: IND, CHI But with Alexander on bye, I probably won't make it to 8-0.
