Faucet. Wet Dog Smell

Recommended Posts

Every once in awhile the kitchen faucet emits water that smells I swear to God exactly like a wet dog. Any idea what the hell's going on there? The intermittent part baffles me more than anything else I think.

Probably the sink as opposed to the actual faucet wouldnt it be?

If sink not used regularly, trap can smell funky.

Go upstairs and tell mom....she’ll get a man to come over and handle it.

This is where one of us would chime in and say don't send him upstairs until I'm done banging his mom but she just passed away so I won't.

Here you are getting that cologne for free and I have to come up with $1.50/gallon for it.

Pretty sure you're getting a Wiff of your snatch. Could be worse

When wiff's father died, wiff moved in to take care of his mentally unwell mother. He, rather heroically, put up with her dementia for a good long time without help from the rest of the family before getting her into a facility. Then she passed away about a month and a half ago.

Damn Volt. Someone's paying attention. Good on ya.

Literally laying here thinking about my brother. He's 8 years older than me and he was extremely put out the I left the burial Arrangements up to him. He has visited her a grand total of maybe 2 hours in 6 years? But he fancies himself a great christian.

Dude literally has no idea what caring for her any given week took.

But oh good lord he was pissed off that he had to do some work recently. I tried to be the bigger man, tried to say we should at least have a meal together. But the day I buried my mom was the last day I'll ever see him.

I know, wrong thread. Just baffles me until I die what must be going through his head for him to feel like he's been somehow unfairly put up on.

Fock em.

To eliminate the drain as the cause, try filling up a glass or pitcher without letting any go down the drain. If the water doesn't smell bad then it's your drain. If it does smell bad, there's a hobo dead in your water heater.

So, I checked the Overflow pan for the water heater .

Turns Out we have hobos.

Dammit.
