Is there a set time to make a pick? I think I took 3 hours. Just checking, I apologize for the hold up... But what is limit before picks are made?

 

I will be sending lists when it's not my pick and its time for me to go to sleep here.

Not a set time, but we do like to try to hit the ground running day 1. And it's not like there's a lot contingencies you have to plan for in round 1.

Typically, if a person has not shown within 2 hours, we seek someone out to make the pick for them.

I think it's just a generally accepted practice thag picks get made every 1-2 hours and since we are all veterans of the June mock, we tend to get antsy when people are MIA because we've all done this before. But there are small hold ups every year and as long as we don't mess with the authenticity of the draft by making a proxy pick, I am perfectly fine with some down time

 

 

I should add that it is also generally understood that the draft slows down and possibly halts after eastern/central time work hours. (though I have never agreed with this because im guessing all or most of us carry smartphones and can check in every so often no matter what after work stuff we have going on... always seemed to me that since we know when the June Mock is happening, people should be ready and we should actually move faster once people are out of work).
