My results from the 9 fwiw 12 team ppr (also was planning to go WR WR if devontae or julio slipped (they did not) QB: Brees, Goff WR: Tyreek Hill (pick 2), Brandin Cooks, Josh Gordon, Bench: Christian Kirk, Larry Fitzgerald, Desean Jackson RB: Leveon Bell (pick 1), Gurley (don't know how he came back to me R3), Bench: Chris Carson, Miles Sanders, Tony Pollard, Duke Johnson Jr. TE: Kyle Rudolph No Kicker/defense yet Really liked WR WR in my mocks, but like my draft better than the mocks

I'm really not feeling McKinnon...I would decide this based on your other RBs/WRs if you have a solid RB1 and are hurting for WRs I make the trade, if McKinnon becomes your RB1 I say Dikembe Mutumbo

I have been waiting for Cooper to really have a breakout streak (waited most of last year) while he is great at getting open he hasn't figured out how to catch the ball, maybe this will be the year, but Crabtree outperformed him most of last year and Jordy will take over Crabtrees role admirably...go with Cook

Yep feel good about Hogan, there is plenty of options for an RB3 available late in the drafts this year, but I'm finding a pretty steep drop in the WR talent after round 6 Hogan/Edelman/Sanders

Which RB and which WR for 1st and 2nd round. PPR
socrilles replied to EaglesFan573's topic in A Little Help!
I took Gordon and Thomas (picking 1.12, 2.1) I think Hunt was already gone and Fournette went kinda later in the 2nd. Both Adams and Allen were available when I took Thomas. For the RB it is a coin flip, I think Fournette runs in a way that makes him injury prone/but still wondering if I should've taken him. Adams scares me with the concussions (I had a pretty bad one, and now can't even really ride a rollercoaster without feeling some symptoms....) I like Allen and agree he likely has a higher ceiling. I also think Brees receivers always have a lower ceiling...Brees is just soo good at finding the mismatch in the game or the hole in the secondary for a given play and doesn't care who he is throwing to and therefore the "WR1" for the saints can change from game to game..play to play, but because he spreads the ball secondaries can't just focus on locking down the WR1, which makes Thomas's floor relatively high -
Thanks for advice everyone, in the end I went against the general grain, my reasoning is that the floor and the ceiling are very far apart for CMC, whereas the floor and ceiling for OBJ is very narrow and probably somewhat close to CMCs ceiling (assuming both players remain healthy). McCoy also finished 7th whereas CMC finished 10th in points for our league last year and while I think this will change, I don't think McCoy will be a giant drop from CMC. The difference between OBJ and Crabtree will likely be massive.

Drafted last week picking 12th in 12 team snake, went /Melvin Gordon, Michael Thomas, McCaffrey (traded my 3rd and 4th picks for 3rd and 5th picks of team picking 3.02)....McCoy fell to me in the 5th so I ended up pretty RB heavy, floated some trade ideas mainly McCoy and a WR2/3 (like crabtree/Goodwin) for a WR1....was offered Odell for McCaffrey straight up (my bench RB's are Kerryon, Chris Carson, and James White) WR: Michael Thomas, Crabtree, Goodwin, Sterling Shepard, Lockett, Doctson) PPR no flex start 2RB 3WR, thoughts? I think McCaffrey could really blow up, but McCoy should be pretty good and OBJ would be a big improvement for my WR2

12 team Full PPR Me: QB: Alex Smith, Keenum, Bortles WR: Thielen, Crabtree, Tate Bench: Hogan, Josh Gordon RB: Bell, Gurley TE: Gronk Kicker Bryant Def: Baltimore Him: QB: Rivers WR: Fitz, Julio Jones, Agholor RB: Ingram, Jonathan Stewart TE: Kelce Kicker Zuerlein (I imagine this will change) Def: Rams Still debating qb to start, feel like I can neutralize Kelce by starting Smith Thoughts?

Josh "Flash" Gordon, would definitely be very high risk, possibly high reward (WR2) as he might be reinstated pretty soon

2-0 but want to get better...Who to offer up?
socrilles replied to Bgards79's topic in A Little Help!
Seriously how many teams my only guess is a few keepers or 8 team early draft Gurley slipped and you got Hunt late still don't know how you get Gordon and all those WRs...this is a joke......? I would try to improve at TE/QB with trading Gordon or Anderson, wouldn't breakup Gurley and Hunt -
Trying to figure out how to manage my bench, kind of want to take some high risk/rewards as I think I can, but also might want security (Bell backup, Gronk backup etc)..What do you think....contemplating adding Gordon and dropping Moncrief....my team 12 team PPR QB: Derek Carr, bench Alex Smith WR: Crabtree, Tate, Martavis Bryant Bench Hogan, Thielen, Moncrief RB: Bell, Gurley, Bench Carson and just picked up David Johnson thinking if he makes a comeback I can upgrade with one of my RBs TE: Gronk Def: tampa bay/waivers Kicker: don't even know So keep Moncrief, drop for Gordon/Samu/Engram Always trying to improve

You can say that again , but in all seriousness, I like the Run CMC moniker, he is going to be very dependent on screen plays and the like so has upside in PPR, but he is really going to vary week to week, I know he isn't "small" but he still just isn't big enough to be the bell cow

Not sure how bad, but a lot of concern on his face on the sideline, ugghhhhhhhhhh

Post your settings and other details (how many teams etc) You are pretty weak at RB, fat Rob might pan out though, really nice WRs, no reason to have 2 TEs, I would look to trade one of your QBs and Abdullah or Kelley for a better RB if you can find some1 with RB depth that is hurting at QB
-
Guessing you were pick one since you got DJ, think you reached a bit on McCaffrey and Thomas, my guess is Doug Martin becomes your RB2 but its a tough decision on who to start week to week, for Thomas I would've wanted a WR with a better QB (maybe Osweiler will pan out?)
