wiffleball 4,631 Posted April 30, 2017 Help me out here. I remember seeing DW on PBS as a kid and even then, the production quality was so bad as to be laughable. The acting, not much better. Now, I'm watched bits and pieces over the past few years and it's pretty darn good. The current actor is really good, pretty damn funny. Derivative of Anthony Bourdain in a way in that he doesn't take anything too seriously. And, the production quality has gone up 1000%. I noticed last night that the 'first' season started in like 2006 or so. I know that's not right. Do they start the clock all over again every time they get a new Who? Anyway, I my next life, I could see me binge-watching it. That, and "Luther", but that's another day.
DonS 3,063 Posted April 30, 2017 Doctor Who started back in the 60s but then was off the air for several years. It re-started ~2006.
GobbleDog 815 Posted April 30, 2017 I remember seeing DW on PBS as a kid and even then, the production quality was so bad as to be laughable. The acting, not much better. My thought exactly when I hear the words "Dr. Who." Low budget sci-fi on PBS from 40 years ago. It could be the greatest show in the world now and I wouldn't watch. It's like a Kia.
