parrot 789 Posted October 7, 2014 Doesn't come back until January, but I'm looking forward to the final season of Justified. Great cast and some of the best writing on TV for my money. They are adding Sam Elliott and Garrett Dillahunt to the cast for the final season. I wonder if Dillahunt ever gets tired of playing a dirtbag? I watched 12 Years a Slave the other night and when the slave dude was trying to get Dillahunt to carry a letter for him I was yelling at the TV "You can't trust him, that's Garrett Dillahunt!" The wife and kids were looking at me like I have Tourette's. Then SURPRISE! he focked him over. Dillahunt is such a convincing dirtbag he played two different dirtbags on Deadwood, which only lasted three seasons. But yeah, looking forward to Justified. JT 137 Posted October 15, 2014 None. But I am continuing to promote any thread not started and overrun by the a-holes that have ruined what's left of this place.
Sho Nuff 719 Posted October 15, 2014 Gave Gotham 2 tries...it sucked. For a funny show you can watch with your woman and still have some decently inappropriate humor...Marry Me wasn't half bad.
phillybear 364 Posted October 16, 2014 Monday: Tuesday: Agents of Shield Wednesday: Thursday: Friday: Whose Line Is It Anyway? Saturday: Sunday: Once Upon a Time, Brooklyn Nine Nine, The Walking Dead, The Talking Dead Shows on hiatus: Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, Louie, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Community, Inside Amy Schumer, Naked and Afraid. Almost done Season 8 of Criminal Minds, one more season to go. Then it's on to the last season of Dexter. Then to pick up Breaking Bad in Season 2. It's disappointing that nothing noteworthy has jumped out this TV season to check out, I only keep up with 6 shows in real time, and 4 of those 6 are on the same night. It's so mind boggling that anyone would put themselves in that situation. Though I know that multiple safeguards are in place, you still get the feel that somebody could die on that show. What did you think of last season's Louie?
phillybear 364 Posted October 17, 2014 We love Naked and Afraid. It's so mind boggling that anyone would put themselves in that situation. Though I know that multiple safeguards are in place, you still get the feel that somebody could die on that show. What did you think of last season's Louie? I have Louie Season 4 in a folder sitting on my computer, ready to roll for a rainy Saturday afternoon binge session. Just haven't found the right day yet to barrel through it. I understand he is going in a more artsy abstract direction lately. I like quite a few of those Survival type shows. Survivorman and anything else with Les Stroud. Marooned and anything else by Ed Stafford. Dual Survival was fun, until they got rid of Dave and then Cody quit; now they have a retard and a military sociopath hosting. Man Woman Wild was great as the woman had giant cans. Mantracker was basically a wilderness game show. I got tired of Bear Grylls in Man vs Wild because he wants to climb a mountain in every episode especially if it's completely unnecessary; and then all his other spin offs kind of suck especially the ones on network TV. Naked and Afraid is mindless entertainment and the ratings are excellent so they continue to crank out a bunch of episodes.
wiffleball 4,631 Posted October 17, 2014 I was really hoping that they would kill off Linda Hunt from NCIS LA. Maybe they still will. Her character is so completely unbelievable. I don't care how many "secret" allusions to her so-called bad-ass past they drop. You can't get past the fact that she's 4 feet tall and look like she's part Simian. Yeah sure, I'm sure she would have passed the physical for law enforcement. The show would be better with the bald white guy taking over her role.
