  2. The International Fantasy League is looking for owners! The league actually started in 2002, but re-emerged in 2007 after a 5 year hiatus. Our goal is to be a fantasy football league with international bragging rights on the line. One week you could be whopping France, the other Minnesota, and the third Mexico...or you may be losing to New York if you don't make that vital trade with Texas! In this league, we try to combine national (or state) pride with a good fantasy football setup to the enjoyment of everyone involved. Hopefully this is something you want to take part in, representing your country or state. We have one owner representing each country / state. Countries for all nations outside the U.S. and Canada; states/provinces for the U.S and Canada. The league is divided into four conferences with 12 teams each. Each with their separate drafts and separate player pools. The top 4 teams from each conference goes on to the winner's bracket of the playoffs, which concludes in our very own World Bowl! You can view the league setup by going to the International Fantasy League. As you can see there, we're a redraft league. The draft(s) will be held on the 30th/31st of August or 6th/7th of September (depending on owner feedback in current polling). Team names are the names of the countries/states. No nicknames or similar. It looks like this: Washington 30 - California 22 Italy 49 - Spain 50 Mexico 12 - Quebec 22 and so on Although we use RTSports' Platinum setup, there will be NO fee for you to participate in 2009. You can contact me on silencer@tnfj.com if this sounds interesting to you. Please remember to include which country/state you would be interested in representing --> See post below for details on which states/countries are already represented, which should also tell you which ones aren't

    what to do

Although I don't know your scoring system, I'd be tempted to go for Manning if he was available. In my league I'd rather pick up a 3rd RB than go for a WR at that point. Having Gore as your 3rd RB doesn't sound bad, does it? Then WR in the next few rounds before turning to QB if you didn't get Manning early on.

WW WRs - who should I get to replace S. Moss (WAS)

I'd actually stick with Santana, but if you've decided to get rid of him, I'd pick up Bowe. Like you said - Crayton is more hit or miss. I should know, since I dropped him for Bowe last week...

    Trade

He is not going to make this offer once AJ's situation clears up, which is why you CAN'T wait. So it comes down to whether you think Johnson will be healthy in two-three weeks time or not. Depending on your WR needs, I would definitely consider this offer.
  8. Silencer

Your thoughts on this trade offer ?

I'd be happy with the team you have for now, and wouldn't do that trade.
  9. Silencer

    Just traded for Gates

You gave up a lot, but addressed a need which should make your starting lineup considerably more solid. I like it
  10. Silencer

    Trading

This all comes down to the balance of the other owners' rosters I guess. In my league owners are very reluctant to part with top 10 (or top 20 for that matter) RBs, and Marvin in a combo like you are suggesting wouldn't even instigate a counter offer. Because of Caddy's injury, Pittman in a combo with Marvin and McDonald MIGHT catch someone's attention and you could strike gold (meaning a RB in the #10-15 range), but I wouldn't count on it.

    LT for Steve Smith, Willis

Hard to say yes or no without knowing anything about roster composition, position depth etc. I'd say no as of now.

    LT trade Help...

I would be waiting to learn more on Jordan's and Harrison's situation before pulling the trigger on this one. And what about WW - nothing of interest that you can pick up without losing someone you consider too valuable to let go...? I don't think the deal is lopsided, but I would be cautious of making this move just yet, regardless of being 0-4.
  13. Silencer

    Drop Mark Clayton?

It can sometimes be hard to let go of players that you drafted and had high hopes for before the season (or tried to look like geniuses for picking up on the WW), but I'd pick up Bowe instead of clinging on to M.Clayton
  14. Silencer

Is this a fair deal - Trade Colston

I'd definitely go for it. Hard to say if it is a fair deal, I think it would probably raise a discussion in my main league. Then again, we argue about everything
  15. Silencer

    TOwens trade value?

I wouldn't throw a RB in there, but otherwise I agree it is a good idea to try to make a move to strengthen your WRs instead of having Schaub on your bench. I am assuming there is a WW and that you can pick up someone half decent later on if you pay attention. Maybe the deal looks better for him if you offer Schaub and Berrian for Owens without Delhomme involved. Might be worth consideration...?
