    Trying to remain fair

I think the special scoring rules should be used if this situation arises. Reason being El isn't a qb, he's a wr. Since he never practices as a qb (until recently) he's not going to light it up as one. I believe the special scoring is used for gadget plays. If El throws, it will be a gadget play. Here is my game summary if El starts at qb: Hand off left to FWP Hand off right to FWP QB draw up the middle Punt or Hand off left to FWP And this is AirRam btw. Still serving out my three month suspension for losing a bet on the CSU/CU game.

    ***trade***

Two first rounders is overpaying this season depending on who you nab in next season's draft. As I've been preaching all off season, there's no way an elite NFL rb can rehab and train in prison. And we're seeing it play out this season. If he had a qb he might be a bit better. Next season he will be back to form so your investment is solid.

    **Major trade announcement**

I like your end of the deal. Pepp and the Vikings WILL get better next season. I get the feeling his knee injury, while severe, might not be one that would end the season of a player on a team with the playoffs in the future. Pure speculation on my part, but it might be an extra precaution keeping your franchise out of what will amount to meaningless games the rest of the season. LJ>Barber/Jacobs Cleveland is crap, dunno why they're in this deal but to each his own. Didn't C=Pepp tear all 3 ligaments in his knee ala Willis McGahee??? THat is not an injury you just bounce back from, and definatly not one that you be able to be back from if your team was in the hunt. I like the deal for both sides, but it's LJ that is nice for CA, not C-Pepp. IMO, at this point, he has the samevale in this leage as a Bledsoe. I don't think he will ever be an elite QB again. But he;s worth the game for CA considering he was kinda just a throw in. Damn I didn't hear that but looked it up and you are correct. However, this injury might not affect a qb (even a running one like him) as much as a rb. A rb needs 1-2 years to come back fully if we use the Willis model. IF the organization can rebuild around him, Pepp could again be affective as a passer while his legs get back underneath him. Long term investment with potential short term returns. And Cleveland is still crap...just thought I'd throw that in there.

so will you give me the lions and 20 points this weekend or are you chicken? you squawk a lot. and you want to infer all sorts of things about week 2. you so much as say here that the bears beat the lions 38-6 in week 2 and shouldn't have any trouble winning by that margin this week. so let's do it: i'll take the lions and 20 points. put up or shut the fock up. (i already have an idea of what you'll do ) Swamp, are you a lions fan? If so who are those guys in the secondary aside from McQuarters? I know the names but don't know anything about them?

What makes some of you think Duce will make a resurgance in Pitt?

Muhammed goes 6'2 and IMO has some premier leaping ability to go along with excellent hands. Dre Bly was Detroits best cover guy, he's gone 3-4 weeks. RW McQuarters is starting in his place along side Andre' Goodman, both are 5-10 and neither can be considered cover guys like Bly. I haven't caught many Bears games so I don't know how bad or good Orton is playing. But I do know they are running the ball a ton with Thomas Jones which should provide Orton with some good reads off play action. I'm forced to play Mush this weekend and am hoping he goes for at least 40-50 and a td given the matchups. Does anyone closer to Da' Bears organization have an opinion one way or another?

    Predictions for Chris Simms

He's the reason I'm starting the Niners defense in a salary cap league.
