Seems like collusion to me. Top 5 guys in my leagues are untouchable unless you really offer a great deal or they are hurting at a position. An 0-7 guy trading the top player at a position is always suspicious unless he's adding multiple starters to his line up.

Curious to see what everyone's philosophy is when your record sucks but your team seems solid. I'm in one league where I've literally lost by as little as .3 to 5 points 4 times this year. I'm 2-5 and have little chance of making the playoffs unless I go on a serious run. I have decent RB depth with CJ, Gore, Mathews and Torain but am hurting at WR with Bowe, Holmes, Manningham (thanks Fantasy Index) and some average guys. my QB is Brees and I'm good at TE, K and D. Bad match-ups and starting the wrong RB all year has killed me. At this point I'm just trying to trade any of my Rbs to improve my WR and starting line up. Do you guys hope things will change and hang tight or try to overhaul the whole thing knowing you have to win almost every game to make the playoffs? Guys are so unwilling to trade, but with RBs dropping like flys would you trade Gore/Mathews/CJ and a mid tier WR for one decent WR? and by decent, I don't mean elite. The top guys are untouchable, so I'm trying to pry the Stevie J's and V Jax's from someone. These are guys that have scored less than the RBs I'm willing to deal and marginally more than the guys I have. I'm 7-0 and 4-3 in my other leagues, but this one is driving me nuts.

With the TEs so deep he's generally available and still was ranked pretty high on draft rankings. Guys like Cook and Kendricks seem to be available all over, so I'm wondering if anyone actually has interest in the dude or with the questions for week 1 are simply ignoring him.

I tend to agree, with you. If he's still unsigned at draft time, you probably just have to let someone else take that risk. Even if he signs though, there has to be concern over history of guys like this. If he's signed, I can't see letting him get to the second round though

history on hold out RBs is very unfavorable. I'm curious as to how far folks will let him slide before they just feel the necessity to take him or pass all together.

Most people make the Cribbs new contract statement as if he's at the league minimum. Cribbs just signed a new 4 year contract LAST YEAR. They are and will get the guy paid, but it doesn't make sense to redo a contract 1 year after giving a guy a new 4 year deal. He had no leverage. If he plays well, which he certainly did, redo it at the end of this year, which they are. I am not denying that the guy is the team MVP and deserving of a new deal, but most of you make sweeping statements that seem to have no understanding and/or acknowledgement of his current 4 year deal, just signed last year.

Didn't want to cut Longwell so I cut Massaquoi for Stover for a week. Good input. We have a bunch of Steeler homers, so my hope was his appeared value would increase, too. Nobody i pick up this week will start unless I have 3 injuries, so I'm always looking to grab the "popular" choice in hopes of trade bait.

Wondering who everyone will target. If LJ signs in Pitt, he could be huge. Neither Chambers or Betts interest me that much, but if others are jumping, I'm not adverse to blocking since I can cut my extra K with Longwell coming back.

they've been doing it all year so they can look smart when he has a big game. it's stupid. he's been my 5th RB, behind Turner, Pierre, BJ and Bradshaw and I cut him loose to go after Moats. He's NEVER performed where they said he should.

Same problem here. He's been killing me and I keep starting him over Bradshaw, Caddy and Pierre Thomas. Turner is my stud. I'm tempted to bench Jacobs this week, but I know he'll rumble for 2 TDs and 100 if I do. If i were you, I'd stick with Jacobs one more week. They are going to be pissed after getting run. What would you do idf you were me? Pierre's getting vultured by Bell and Caddy plays NE. Bradshaw is actually better though.

Browns homer here. They suck and until they prove otherwise, I wouldn't start a single player. The only guy worth a start is Cribbs if you get credit for return yards and TDs.

Good feedback. It looks like if you can take the risk, do it, but relying on #2 production, which is what you want from a Top 20 WR, seems out of the question. Thanks!
