SpenceToons 70 Posted August 26, 2015 For anyone who had a chance to watch GB vs PIT last Sunday, did you have the sense that the Packers were sticking to this new thrust to become a more up-tempo offense ? It might help in my deliberations about whether to... "Reach for Rodgers" ...in this weekend's upcoming draft. I suppose it's fair to wonder whether the loss of Jordy might put such an ambitious transition on hold for a while.
roroco 75 Posted August 26, 2015 Even if they go more up tempo in the regular season, you won't see it in the preseason. There is no need for it before the games mean something.
lesjroza 70 Posted August 26, 2015 My opinion is that it will likely be shelved for the most part. Minus Jordy an every down vet who will be substituted for now by a 2nd year player. The second year player looks like he may be replaced by a rook or 2nd year guy with little to no game experience. Its probable the TE position will be primarily manned by a 2nd year guy as well. I just don't think that's a recipe for speed it up, call plays at the line of scrimmage as you go, the Packers will be fine offensively, but I just think they'll be looking to huddle up and make sure everybody is on the same page more often than not now.
