Chris Brown played college ball @ Colorado under Alex Gibbs, now the o-line coach in Houston. They run the same style blocking scheme he ran in during college. I expect him to do very well in this offense. Ahman Green doesn't have the fire he used to, so even though he's likely to be the starter in week 1, I foresee Brown winning outright by mid-season and being a borderline top 10-15 RB.

the time to cut bait was week 3

bump. we'd like to get this filled ASAP. if you know anyone around Atlanta who would like to be in an auction-style draft league (or even if it's their first time), let me know!
-
howdy, let me direct you to the original posting of this at another message board: the run-down: Live, in-person Auction 14-team redraft league in the Atlanta area (probably northern suburbs, Alpharetta area-ish) $50 buy-in, 100% return minus cost of website (MFL) typical scoring and lineups, no IDP we're looking for a few more owners. if this interests you, please 1) bump this thread (i'm no longer a frequent visitor on these boards due to downtime) and 2) tell the commish you're interested at the link above. first come, first serve. thanks! --uby

Hi. I lost by 0.43 points and was, of course, 2nd highest point total for the week. I took a chance on Chris Henry at a WR slot -- his stat line was 1 reception for -5 yards. Yes, we get negative points for negative yardage.

i like this site for mocking. you need to click your spot, enter a team name, and then go. note some flaws though: mike bell isn't on the player list, and some players are not in the typical ADP so you might need to look a bit.
-
i wouldn't trade your #2 RB for a #2 WR. look at Chambers splits from last year -- he only became hot towards the end of the season. Chambers has been very inconsistent his whole career. He has a lifetime 50% catch rating for balls thrown to him! I'd say the Benson and Coles offer is more than fair, and wouldn't offer more than that.
-
gave it an A. i have no idea how you got all the talent you did. Caddie slipping to 2.07? Holt to 3.06? Chambers to 4.07? Driver to 5.06? All of these seem like you are getting WAY above ADP value.

no trading in this league. and donald driver went before my 3rd round pick =( every WR i was targeting got taken at least 1 round ahead of where i wanted them. driver, smith, kennison, glenn, williamson, bryant, evans -- ugh.
-
Maybe there's a chance the old guys like Bruce and Kennison either decline or miss time so that I can plug in Curtis or Parker. Any shot at Mike Williams putting up decent #'s in Detroit alongside Roy? I'm pretty sure Mike will be the #2 ahead of Bradford, Vines, and the like.

12-team redraft. 1PPR for non-RBs, 0.5PPR for RBs. 6pt all TDs, 1/10 and 1/25 for yardage pts. 1.08 Clinton Portis 2.05 Lamont Jordan 3.08 Julius Jones 4.05 Andre Johnson :bag: 5.08 Carson Palmer 6.05 Alge Crumpler 7.08 Matt Jones 8.05 Drew Bledsoe 9.08 Greg Jones 10.05 Brandon Lloyd ... (goes to 18 rounds) Starting lineup: Carson Palmer Drew Bledsoe / Aaron Brooks Clinton Portis Lamont Jordan Julius Jones / Greg Jones / Michael Turner / Travis Henry Andre Johnson Matt Jones Brandon Lloyd Samie Parker / Kevin Curtis / Mike Williams Alge Crumpler Nate Kaeding Bengals DST No trading allowed in the league. Must start lineup in quantities shown (no flex). Are my WRs as bad as I think they are?
-
looks like Kevin Jones AND Jamal Lewis slip to 4th round ... if i'm reading that correctly?
-
yup. Warner has won the Super Bowl. as for biggest flops of the year, in no order: RBs -Tiki Barber -Dominic Davis -Lamont Jordan -Ronnie Brown WRs -Randy Moss -Roy Williams -Plaxico Burress -Javon Walker QBs -Eli Manning -Brett Favre -Jake Plummer -Steve McNair
-
this has been covered numerous times. 6 pts for all TDs works for ALL QBs, not just Manning. if you think he'll throw 45 TDs, it might be worth it. otherwise, he'll likely throw 35 TDs - and there are a gaggle of capable QBs who can get 30+ TDs to be had MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH later than the 1.05 pick ...

Little known fact about Addai that scares the crap out of me
uby replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
I'm not sure why everyone thinks Addai will be the starter and not Rhodes. Rhodes isn't that old yet, and his rookie season he had 1100 yards/9 TDs. Plus lots of experience in this system already. Hasn't had much of a shot since then -- I think he can step up. He's shown that his prior ACL injury is no longer a factor by his performances (albeit brief) in 03/04/05.
