Culpepper worth picking up off waivers?

That's what I was thinking as well. I have Eli and Leinart as my QBs and was thinking of dropping Leinart and starting Daunte while Eli is out. Any thoughts are appreciated.

    My chances are.....

i agree. looks like a great 14-team league squad. I assume you made a trade for LT? i don't think the WRs are all that bad. Could be breakout year for Roy W and you can always rotate the #3 spot based on matchups and hunting the waiver wire.
  3. Here are my only thoughts. I've tried to ignore your implied top 5. - Bledsoe: This may be included in your top 5. Cowboys will be throwing often, especially with TO and a cloudy RB situation - Brad Johnson: Same can be said here. Johnson is a very accurate short/mid-range passer. Chester Taylor is a decent receiver, so lots of short yardage passing opps. - Favre: Will air it out as always. RB situation is as precarious as any team in the league - Kitna: The Mike Martz offense is coming to town, but he would probably be a WW option in any league right now

    P. Manning trade help

i completely agree. manning is far and away the best QB and will have a huge year. upgrading to manning will more than make up for replacing foster/mcgahee with droughns/jordan. manning will throw at least 12 more TDs than brunell this year. if you can get another RB that might start a few weeks if the match up is right (im thinking a cedric benson, marion barber type of back), all the better.

I lost Greg Jones....who should I pick Up?

Camaro24, Who did you give up for Wayne? I'm looking to upgrade at WR in a 12 team league and would like to have that as a data point. Thanks

These all may be taken, but have you checked: Marion Barber Cedric Benson Ron Dayne You could also just move down the Jags depth chart and pick up Maurice Drew. It's not as if Fred Taylor is any less likely to get injured now.

    Which WR to cut?

Thanks. I was thinking of cutting Kennison until the Stallworth trade came along and relegated Reggie Brown to the #2 WR spot. Now I'm reconsidering

    Little trade help guys

Roy Williams could have a monster year in the Martz system and with a modest upgrade at QB from last year (Kitna). Have you tried any scenarios where you don't have to part with Williams? This might not work, but are worth trying before giving up your #2 receiver. 1) Package an existing RB like Westbrook with a non-starting WR 2) Favre may have some trade value in a packaged deal as well since he's looked very sharp at times during the pre-season.

    Which WR to cut?

I need to cut one of 3 WRs to make room for other signees. With the Stallworth to Philly deal, my WR decision is even tougher. I will not cut Derrick Mason (who I just acquired in a trade). Which one should of the remaining three should I cut? 1) Reggie Brown 2) Eddie Kennison 3) Deion Branch

    Which WR would you take?

In case it hasn't been clear enough...ROY WILLIAMS. He's poised for a breakout year, especially with the martz offense. Branch won't suit up until November and Andre Johnson has david carr throwing to him.

    Trading LT....

I must agree. You're ultimate goal seems to be upgrading your #2 or #3 receiver. That's not valuable enough to downgrade from LT.
  13. I say no go on Branch. Given the bye week mess, you're simply not the guy to be dealing with him. Personally, I think late round WR should be young guys who might bust out. Perhaps Michael Clayton fits the mold, at least if Chris Simms can start looking at someone other than Galloway.

Accept this trade for Peyton Manning?

Thanks for the replies everyone. 1) I agree. I must stick with Branch at least until the season starts. Worst case, I grab Troy Williamson or Antonio Bryant out of the FA pool. 2) Skittles, that's an interesting idea about dangling Brady. I've got Drew Bledsoe as my backup, which is pretty ridiculous in a 12 team league. Brady must get me a top flight WR though. No less than Chad Johnson, Torry Holt etc. I assume? 3) You think he'd take Chester Taylor? I happen to be a fan, but I don't think there's enough hype around Chester Taylor to get someone to bite. Realistically, I could even deal two of my RBs as we only have 2 bench players in my league. The real question is, with Tom Brady being a great option at QB, do I need to trade a #2RB for a mediocre (althouth stable) WR?

Accept this trade for Peyton Manning?

I have nothing at WR which is the reason I'm considering it. Here they are: - Reggie Brown - Eddie Kennison - Deion Branch Thanks! Also, any thoughts on holding on to Branch given the holdout?
