If Madison Bumgartner's distant cousin and similarly named Madison Bumgarner is still available I'll take him. :P

If not....

just for shits and giggles i wanted to take a look at the supplemental through 7 weeks. I'll revisit a few more times. Not really worth looking too deeply at the regular draft since only a few teams fight for certain players and some clubs have deeper draft pools. you know, the kind of thing where James Shields is a viable if not good 2nd round pick for the Rays but many other teams would vomit if that was the case

27.01 - ted (LAD) Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, ARI .236 - 8HR - 5 DBL - 24RBI - 5SB - 42BB a bit to be desired in average and doubles but otherwise solid and chipping in steals. Can't argue #1 overall.

27.02 - bbascom (BOS) Nolan Arenado, 3B, COL .314 - 14HR - 7DBL - 34RBI rocking it as the clear cut top 3B available. little light on double but can't have it all
27.03 - cmh (KC) Bryce Harper, OF, WAS .256 - 7DBL - 11HR - 29RBI - 7SB - 49BB felt like the steal of the supp but the 2 names above are hard to argue. a little off the torrid early season pace but contributing everywhere
27.04 - Shotsup (NYM) David Robertson RP CWS 1.08ERA - 19K - 6BB - 10SV - 2BS rock solid closer and was the clear cut top closer in the supp
27.05 - Mung (CHC) Chris sale, sp, cws 9W - 0L - 1.58ERA - 62K - 10BB - 8QS amazing as the first SP off the board. I liked Madbum and Scherzer better but was dead wrong. Scary having this guy on the cubs staff
27.06 - BC (LAA) Andrew McCutchen, OF, PIT .248 - 8HR - 10DBL - 19RBI - 1SB off to a little bit of a slow start with the middling average, sub 20 RBI and just 1 swipe but its early.....
27.07 - Jim Mora (TEX) Giancarlo Stanton, OF, MIA .214 - 11HR - 5DBL - 25RBI doing his thing on a team that kind of sucks. that average is putrid though.
27.08 - Mookz (BAL) Joey Votto, 1B, CIN .210 - 6HR - 4DBL - 24RBI the usual doubles and batting average machine is off to a slow start
27.09 - WhiteWonder (TB)Miguel Cabrera, 1B, DET .308 - 7DBL - 8HR - 24RBI power might be back though he won't get back to the 40+ days. Pretty Miggy-like season so far
27.10 - Lambert (STL)Jose Fernandez , P, MIA 5W - 2L - 3.21ERA - 69K - 23BB - 4QS aside from quality starts and more walks than you'd like, has been great as a bit of a surprise pick ahead of Bum and Scherz.
27.11 - 29 Guests (HOU)Robinson Cano, 2B, SEA .294 - 12DBL - 12HR - 37RBI after a couple down seasons in Seattle, Cano is clearly the steal of the supplemental thus far
27.12 - ZeroTolerance (CLE)Todd Frazier, 3B, CWS .226 - 4DBL - 12HR - 32RBI - 3SB bad average but pretty good counting stats. good pick up
27.13 - Burt (ATL)Max Scherzer,P,WAS 4W - 3L - .401ERA - 76K - 18BB - 6QS thought this was the SP steal. Most years they fly off the board. to have Max go 3rd at pick 13.. alas, aside from that 20k game for the ages, he's been mediocre thus far
27.14 - Guardbum (TOR)A. J. Pollack,OF, ARI ------------ bad luck here as Pollock landed on the DL and has not accrued any stats and could possibly be done for the year

28.01 - Guardbum (TOR)Madison Baumgarner, P, SFG 5W - 2L - 2.45ERA - 71K - 18BB - 7QS the SP I had atop my list of ALL SPs and almost took in round 1 (in hindsight Myers has been a fine 1B) has been as good as always. Great grab this late and takes some sting off the Pollock injury
28.02 - Burt (ATL)Jose Abreu,1B, CWS .242 - 6DBL - 6HR - 27RBI 2nd 1B on my own list after Miggy, power and doubles are down a bit but he can rake and should turn it around.
28.03 - ZeroTolerance (CLE)Starling Marte, OF, PIT .329 - 14DBL - 3HR - 16RBI - 12SB Zero strikes again. You don't draft Marte for power and RBI, you draft him for average and steals. Those doubles are icing on the cake. Well done.
28.04 - 29 Guests (HOU)Felix Hernandez, SP, SEA 3W - 3L - 2.47ERA - 42K - 22BB - 6QS Quietly having a solid season. Walks maybe a touch high and should probably have more W's but still solid.
28.05 - Lambert (STL)Kyle Seager, 3B, SEA .260 - 11DBL - 8HR - 25RBI - 18BB this pick threw me a bit at the time but hard to argue with it now with solid production.... especially as a position of need.
28.06 - WhiteWonder (TB)Stephen Strasburg, P, WAS 7W - 0L - 2.80ERA - 75K - 16BB - 7QS had my eye on him once the consensus top 4 or so were gone. No complaints as he is holding my pitching staff together
28.07 - Mookz (BAL)Gerrit Cole, P, PIT 5W - 3L - 2.79ERA - 39K - 13BB - 6QS K's are down for his normal rate, I think, but everything else has been great.
28.08 - Jim Mora (TEX)Miguel Sano, 3B, MIN .235 - 7DBL - 7HR - 19RBI - 22BB perhaps hasn't lived up to expectation thus far but some decent numbers and again, it's early.
29.09 - BC (LAA)Buster Posey, C, SF .268 - 9DBL - 4HR - 15RBI we usually see a catcher go off the board before this. Has been a slow start for Buster.
29.10 - Mung (CHC)Sonny Gray, SP, OAK 3W - 5L - 6.19ERA - 41K - 24BB - 4QS never really saw this kind of start for Sonny Gray. very surprised. Karma for getting Sale?
29.11 - Shotsup (NYM)Ryan Zimmerman, 1B, WAS .236 - 9DBL - 5HR - 19RBI might be nearing the end. hopefully he can turn it around
29.12 - cmh (KC)Carlos Gonzalez, OF, COL .267 - 8DBL - 5HR - 13RBI I dont know if I was more shocked that he originally fell this far or more shocked once I saw his numbers. Would have swore he was tearing it up
29.13 - bbascom (BOS)Charlie Blackmon, OF, COL .306 - 6DBL - 2HR - 14RBI - 3SB similar to why you draft Marte only not quite having that same kind of season yet....
29.14 - ted (LAD)Aroldis Chapman, P, NYY 1.50ERA - 8K - 1BB - 5SV - 0BS had to endure suspension but is back and on the money! Great 28th pick, great bookend picks

basically we all drafted pretty well and nailed a lot of the right players at certain positions in terms of order they were drafted, like Sale going as the top Pitcher for example.

I didn't nail the supplemental quite as well as last year (Arenado 1-6, Braun 2-11) but it will be fine as long as Frazier picks up soon.

Thanks. I got some funky format errors after I initially.made the post and almost deleted it but took the time to reformat it. Glad some of you enjoyed it.

I'll probably do it again after that AS break or right before the AS supp.

We may have to implement the Pollock clause. If a sup draft player goes down in the preseason to the 60 day dl that you get to drop and add a ww pickup. That really hurt.

I'm all for this clause. I think it is fair, allows that person to grab a replacement to help stay competitive.

I was semi whining, semi joking but it could be a balancer if we could figure a good implementation.

Wow, I hope that suggestion never comes to fruition... I am glad that you were semi-whining...

In a regular league you'd be able to. Not sure why you couldn't as long as there was a cost. It keeps competitive balance over the whole season. Since we implemented the sup drafts, trading in this league went down.
