week 14 play off need advice

Somehow I made playoff spot in our league, I'm only one in there without a top FF QB. I have survived all season without a #1 WR either. I have 2 tough choices to make. My QB situation is sketchy. Free agent and trading is done. I can start either Kaepernick vs Oakland or Mettenberger vs Giants? Our league is PPR after 6. Mettenberger had been on a roll before last game, the injury is not supposed to be serious? Kap only got 1 ffpt last weekend. My opponent will start Drew Brees at QB. I have M. Ingram and J. Charles @ RB's. My flex options are R. Mathews, T. Kelce or Pierre Thomas. Mathews is projected higher than either. If I start P. Thomas I would get pts the same time his QB gets pts if and when he throws to Thomas. I also have K. Davis to put there if J. Charles doesn't play. Charles has a bruised knee and is expected to start. Any advice is appreciated, most of my gut choices about free agents and who to start have been wrong last few weeks. I could have picked up QB's last week Fitzpatrick or McCoy who just blew up. I picked Mettenberger who had his worst game yet and got injured.

    Pick one RB

I will start Charles...second choices are Ingram, Pierre Thomas, J Stewart, Storm Johnson, and Kniles Davis. I would start Ingram if not facing Lions...If New Orleans don't start J.Graham then door opens more for Thomas. Stewart and Johnson are starters but haven't seen any reason to roster either one yet.

    FF is for fun?

Got talked into playing FF for first time this year since somebody had backed out, "its for fun" I was told. Its more like some kind of drug addiction. Players in your league want you to think its just for fun, some are out for blood. Once I realized the CBS projections make about as much sense as wiping before you poop, I scan 10 plus sites for that magic player info. Like I'm going to find that truly insider stat for that unknown goldmine free agent. I would not like to see my own stat for TOS time on stats or PR player research. Luckily for me I have found numerous apps on my phone allowing me to pursue my addiction anywhere I go. I only choose friends now that have Direct TV with Sunday ticket (on my list). My wife looking at me like I'm focking nuts while I'm reading and laughing out loud at weekly Fock you post. That is legit fun. Hopefully in future I can join more leagues increasing that fun factor...or ending up in the mental ward in a straight jacket mumbling random stats about football...

    need 2 of 3 backs

Lacy is set to go off again...didn't do crap last week, plus @home Bradshaw vs Hill is tough call, Bradshaw has 12.3 avg fp for 6 games vs Hill avg is 8.8 for 5.

    E.Sanders for B.Oliver any thoughts?

Our league is 12 man, 6+receptions = 1pt for every reception...not sure if you call that a spilt PPR or if those are PPR standards. We redraft each year. For short term if I can get either RB it would help. ROS it could depend on a lot of things, but Lamar would have more value if R.Mathews comes back at full health. If Mathews gets his job back, then Oliver just becomes another hand cuff...I like all my WR's, both these owners are needing WR.

    E.Sanders for B.Oliver any thoughts?

I forgot another option, L.Miller instead of B.Oliver? Didn't want to start new thread about which RB has more potential going forward. I hate to give up any good players, but its going to take a choice WR to get either one of these.
  7. I have M.Ingram coming back this week, sounds like he is not 100%...I own R.Mathews and was considering offering E.Sanders or T.Williams for B.Oliver. I have J.Stewart and S.Johnson which both are supposed to start for Carolina and Jax. I don't feel they will produce much. My RB's would be J.Charles/K.Davis R.Mathews/B.Oliver and M.Ingram. I would be removing others. WW doesn't have much, any help is appreciated.

    Panthers and Jagulars RBs

Is there anything positive in near future for either? I have J.Stewart and Storm. I was planning on keeping Stewart if I have room based on ROS matchups. That makes 3 injured RB's on my roster, which R.Mathews value is dropping. Starting to feel like I'm playing Fantasy Hospital instead of FF.

    Money values for Players?

In our 12 team standard league we have $100 for the year on free agent offers. I'm thinking about selling a player, how do I determine price? My theory is when selling something, its worth whatever someone is willing to give you. It would be a nice option to be able to sell a player on live auction format, with a reserve price. The trade value on our website lists trade values for week 6, highest value is 35 P.Manning and low was 5. Player I was considering selling has trade value of 18 for the week T.Williams. I would trade if others would trade in league. Thanks in advance for any help.

    ODB vs A.Smith

I have ODB and was going to offer trade for A.Smith? Both have same week proj 6. I need a RB this week, I wanted Oliver since I have Mathews...was too much $. Any thoughts here on better value this week or ROS? I have 4 RB's on vacation this week only leaving me West and Blount.

    Week 6 my questions

Going into week 6 my record is 4-1, which is 2nd place in my division. My week 6 roster is focked to say the least, this is my first year at FF and I have learned from my mistakes. My question is do I just run what I have and take chances on a loss or make some trade offers to increase my chances for this week? I don't have the funds left for big WW purchase. I have Ingram set to return week 7 and R.Mathews at some point. I'm holding Mathews more for trade value at this point. If I go for trades, most people are interested in my WR's. If I offered trades this is what I thought might work. Will take any advice, just stuck this week. R,Cobb for P Rivers. This is one I don't need right now, but was offered before. E.Sanders/M.Ingram for A.Ellington/B.Tate or A.Ellington/A.Hawkins or B.Tate/A.Hawkins also has J.Gordon/C.Palmer/A.Morris B.Oliver scored high last week, and is available. Do I offer to trade R.Mathews right away to person who picks him up? I haven't heard return date yet. What can you expect in trade for R.Mathews?

    Ryan Mathews hit the WW

I picked him up last week, sucks this week on my roster. Ingram is set to comeback week 7 and have yet to hear news on R. Mathews return. I can see someone from my league dropping a lot of coin on B.Oliver this week. I will look at their roster and may even offer to trade Mathews to them...hard to place his value right now.

    Benching Andrew hawkins

G.Tate plus it looks like you will need TE to cover for Graham. At very least to cover Saints bye week 6. I saw Graham leave game early(shoulder) and didn't return.

    Roster and Trade advice needed

Standard 12 player league QB Kaepernick RB J.Charles/ K.Davis WR R.Cobb/E.Sanders/T.Williams TE T.Kelce Flex D.Hester K Susiham D/ST Lions Bench RB T.West/L.Blount/M.Ingram/R.Mathews WR B/Hartline/M/Sanu Nothing of real value on WW, have had a few trade offers. I'd like to trade/upgrade for RB, only offer brought to me so far was: E.Sanders/M.Ingram for Ben Tate/A.Hawkins or Josh Gordon the guy who offered it has plenty of RB's. Forte,Lacy,Ellington,Morris, and his offer of Tate is not real exciting, my personal belief is Sanders is valued higher than a rehab back, which the browns backfield could be a 3 headed monster. Leave a link and I will try to help yours too, thanks

    QBs wk5

Washington and Buffalo in last 4 games have been tough defense's for RB points allowed, Washington Defense has given up a lot of points for QB's and WR, Buffalo defense has allowed a little less points for QB/WR than Washington. Detroit being at home, I would roll with Stafford...he just puts up better stats than Wilson.
