Who to Pick (RD1, PK4) in my keeper league
SteelerFan80 replied to Militia's topic in A Little Help!
If this is not a PPR league, I think you shy away a bit from Brian Westbrook and Wes Welker off the bat. In my mind this is a choice between Peyton Manning, MJD, DeAngelo Williams, and Steve Smith. The Denver offense is a mess so I am wary of Marshall and Brandon Jacobs is always getting banged up. Jennings is a possibility go consider, but not above Steve Smith. Problem with Williams is he has to share the rock, problem with Smith is Delhomme is his quarterback, and the problem with MJD is we do not know what to fully expect from him as the featured starter. If you want to play it safe, you take Manning even though you have Wayne. Otherwise I think you should grab Williams or MJD, whichever you like better. I do not trust LT as your RB2, so you can afford to go RB here. -
k, took over a dynasty team where you keep 18 and draft 4 each year. My squad, after some trades, is now: QB: Garrard, Boller, Kolb, J. McCown RB: Westbrook, R. Bush, M. Bush, M. Morris, D. Rhodes WR: Cotchery, Driver, Gonzalez, Crayton, Engram TE: Watson, Lee K: Bironas DST: Giants We start 2 QB/3 RB/4 WR/1 TE/1 K/1 DST. No PPR. So quarterbacks are pretty darn important. I pick 1.5, 2.5. 3.4, and 3.5 in the draft. I have been offered the following: Shockey, Reggie Brown, Rodgers, and 1.11 pick FOR Westbrook, Engram, Watson, and my 2.5 pick. His team is: QB: Brady, Palmer, Rogers, Leftwich, Stanton RB: Addai, McGahee, L. Jordan WR: C. Johnson, C. Johnson, Boldin, R. Brown, Hackett, Branch TE: V. Davis, J. Shockey K: Vinatieri DST: Chargers Would you do this trade?

Would you trade DeAngelo Williams and Ryan Grant for Joseph Addai and Cedric Benson? My thought is Williams > Benson (especially if rumors hold true of Carolina dumping Foster) and Addai > Grant. Still, I want opinions. Thanks!

In the short-term, Benson is the better keeper. For the long haul, I like Williams to be the better RB. So, if you have enough depth to keep Williams, do so. If you need RB help now, keep Benson. Please reply to mine. Thanks!

Ok its early but help me choose my 3 year keeper
SteelerFan80 replied to KRSP70's topic in A Little Help!
I agree with this post. Question: what is your scoring format and who else do you have on your squad that you are keeping (or is it only 2 players)? Please see mine. Thanks!! -
This is a hybrid keeper/contracts league. We get 2 keepers we can keep up to 10 years (essentially a contract). However, they abide by one special rule. If you remove their keeper status, you can use one of your 2-year contracts on them and keep them for another 2 years. Here is my current set-up. (#) = years left on contract. TBD = To be decided. Keepers: S. Alexander; C. Johnson 5 Year: E. Manning (3) 4 Year: R. Williams (2); R. Droughns (2) 3 Year: A. Johnson (3); P. Rivers (2) 2 Year: E. James (2); TBD (2); T. Heap (1) Taxi Squad: D. Williams; TBD; TBD I just acquired Caddilac Williams. I was thinking of making him my keeper and putting Alexander on a two-year contract. If stay put, Caddy will only get a 2-year deal. So the question is, with Alexander turning 30 this fall, is it time to wean him off my roster. My mind and gut say yes, but I am looking for other opinions.

I am the 2007 champion of my 12-team contracts league and am looking to retool my team. Willie Parker is about to be a FA as his contract has expired for me. So I need to move him. I have been offered the following three deals: 1. Andre Johnson + 1.5 Rookie Pick FOR Willie Parker (FWP) + 7.06 Veteran Pick 2. Santana Moss + 2008 First Round Rookie Pick + 6.09 Veteran Pick FOR FWP 3. Darrell Jackson or Chris Chambers + 2.01 Rookie Pick + 2.03 Veteran Pick FOR FWP + 8.05 Veteran Pick This league gives points for carries and receptions. My team (# years left on contract): QB: E. Manning (3); Rivers (2); Garrard; B. Johnson RB: Alexander (10); Edge (3); Droughns (2); D. Williams; Wright; Morris WR: C. Johnson (10); Roy Williams (2); Matt Jones (1); Battle; Moulds; Washington TE: Heap (1) and Utecht K and DT will be released (Chargers and Gould). Which trade would you do?

I am the 2007 champion of my 12-team contracts league and am looking to retool my team. I have been offered Edge and the 4.11 veteran pick (we have a 2 round rookie draft beforehand) FOR Harrison. This league gives points for carries and receptions. Harrison scored 272 points (#1 WR), Edge scored 293 points (#14 RB). My team (# years left on contract): QB: E. Manning (3); Rivers (2); Garrard; B. Johnson RB: Alexander (10); FWP (0 - will be looking to deal); Droughns (2); D. Williams; Wright; Morris WR: C. Johnson (10); M. Harrison (1); Roy Williams (2); Matt Jones (1); Battle; Moulds; Washington TE: Heap (1) and Utecht K and DT will be released (Chargers and Gould). Do I make this trade or counter? I will be trying to deal FWP in another deal, but could obviously use some RB help. Right now, offer for FWP would involve getting Bolden or possibly Westbrook. Leave a link and I will reply to yours. Thanks! Here's his team in case it helps: QB: Bulger, Romo, Schaub, Bledsoe, Huard RB: LJ, Jones-Drew, Maroney, Edge, Norwood, Turner, Brown, Herron WR: Evans, Holt, Santana Moss, Muhammad, B. Jones, TE: Gates and Watson

I have to say stick with Roy Williams. The Lions will always be passing, and he is their best weapon on offense. Housh will be splitting looks with CJ and Henry in the passing game. Please reply to mine. Thanks!

I agree with everyone: do not sit your stud. Good luck! Please reply to mine.

I have to agree with your own assessment: Pennington, Parker, and Betts. Pennington will pass all day, and they desperately need to win this week. FWP has rushed for over 100 yards in EVERY home game, and the Ravens are not as invincible as everyone thinks. No way the Steelers let them embarrass them again. Betts is as hot a hand as there is besides LT, and he's got a sweet match-up. It's hard to bench McGahee and Dayne, but I think you have a better chance with the other RBs. Please reply to mine. Good luck!

I also like Team A over Team B. Please reply to mine.

Playing against a Monster team, which QB to play?
SteelerFan80 replied to ~Shifty~'s topic in A Little Help!
Normally, I would say Rex Grossman, but given he may likely only play a half, you have to stick it out with Brett Favre. You simply cannot afford one half of numbers from your QB. Plus, I think the Bears will run the ball all day long. Please reply to mine. -
It's my $$ contracts league Super Bowl, and I need some advice on who to start. It is ppr and pp carry. I need help because my opponent has both LT and Westbrook as his RBs and is on a holy tear. Those players bolded are my picks right now to start. Free agency is over, so no waivers are available. QB (1): Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, David Garrard, (Brad Johnson) RB (2 or 3): Willie Parker, Shaun Alexander, Rueben Droughns, Sammy Morris WR (2 or 3): Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Roy Williams, Arnaz Battle, Matt Jones, Nate Washington, Eric Moulds TE (1): Todd Heap or Ben Utecht K: Robbie Gould DST: Chargers Please leave a link and I will happily answer yours! Thanks!
