A little shorter

Weigh less

BMI a point lower

Where are all the bodybuilders crying about BMI?

I weigh 157 and it says I'm overweight still. I actually did complain more strongly before, but then I realized that I actually had a lot of weight to lose. Lost about 20 pounds

I was not overweight. I had people thinking I was too lean

Society’s perception of what constitutes a healthy weight isn’t necessarily healthy. We’ve adjusted our tolerance for fat.

I am just big-boned.

I did DEXA scans to assess body composition - bone, muscle and fat. I was amazed how tiny some of the skeletons looked, yet all the bones were roughly the same size.

Bod Pod shows 178 lean mass, large frame, ideal weight 200-230. So I need to cut 20..

BMI is a bit antiquated... but works for some folks I suppose.

@ 5'10 I can't weigh more than 167 on the BMI... apparently zero fat me still weighs 178. :D

Yeah well after realizing how overweight I actually was and going through the weight loss, then seeing how little fat I had on my body, I am definitely not a little over weight. I do have a pretty good amount of muscle.

Yeah, well my mother has always told me I was big-boned. Of course, your mom said the same thing, but I think she meant it in a different way. :o

It's tough for them to put something out that fits everyone. BMI is about as close as it can get for a "one size fits all" chart.
