hipcheck 0 Posted June 16, 2006 (1/2-pt. / rec.) 5, 20, 29 (1).- RB, RB, WR or (2).- RB,WR,RB-(pretty big RB drop off from WESTBROOK @ #20) _____________________________________________________ Thanks Fellas' !!! ________________________________________________________ . Wildman 0 Posted June 17, 2006 If you can get westbrook at 20, I'd take him because the PPR makes him a top 10 RB at the 20 spot. You can get a guy like Houshmandzadeh in the mid rounds when he gets a lot of receptions and benefits from the double coverage of CJ--enough to be a 12th rated WR in 1 ppr leagues. I know you are .5 ppr but still, that's significant enough even for your set up.

I've only been playing FF for 3 years (multiple reg. & PO leagues tho'), --- Anyway, I have been extremely successful in my big money competive leagues, but it is definitely not because of my Drafting.... I'm an excellent manager (ww, fa's, trades & roster/match-up decisions), but my Drafting has been suspect. ( ie.last year I was a CULPEPPER disciple leading into the draft, that worked out great)..... Starting this time every year, I become completely obsessed about 12 Team redrafts! My mind never stops analysing The "Perfect" Draft Strategy. I'm really confused this year between going.... RB, RB or RB/WR I want a "Stud" WR really bad, but "my-God" the drop off @ RB if you get your second one in the 3rd round is just Ridiculous!!!! Thanks again, let the off-season ODYSSEY continue !!! .
gatorbait7391 0 Posted June 18, 2006 westy yea, i literally was just in that situation in my mock. I took westbrook.
dats007 1 Posted June 18, 2006 Personally I'd go with Westbrook. Keep in mind that there are some slightly undervalued RB's though in this years draft: Laurence Maroney could wrestle the starting spot from Dillon should he sputter again this year. Joseph Addai is a starter in Indy. Cedric Benson is well...a bust, but hey he should get a shot. Thomas Jones. Everybody is going to think that Benson's the man, but TJ held him off last year and should do so again for the better part of this year at least. Reggie Bush - Blah. He should be a WR, but what are you gonna do? I don't think that he'll unseat Duece, but he might break some big plays.

NOSRAC247 0 Posted June 19, 2006 FYI, I would've gone with johnson. Westbrooks #'s are declining every year,(at least the years he's healthy), which is another prblem. Injury prone. That'll mess you up for a couple of weeks. Theres no definite answer to who you shouldve picked, we'll know after they year, but good luck with westy and your team this year

Thanks again, let the off-season ODYSSEY continue !!! . I used to try to plan my position picks when I first started playing (trying to copy previous success like you). I decided to give that up. I may draw up a skeleton plan of the first 5-7 rounds but it has to be very flexible. I'm going sound like a broken record on this forum, but the best thing you can do is track the value of your potential picks vs. the players already picked by each team (organized by team and round). The best way I know how to do this is to use Mike MacGregor's Draft Buddy and Cheatsheet Compiler that he sells on this site for about 10 bucks. This helps you stay flexible to good choices you can't expect to drop to you.
notJames 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Westbrook. I would always take a lower first-tier RB over a top WR, since they're harder to come by. Now, maybe you can help me out…
