I hope that by posting in this thread I haven't ruined my "lurker" status.

Get off of my cloud! Loved this tune as a youngster -
Bad shoulder, return questionable.

Dare I say it.....Tim Hightower nice play next week
Tommyknocker replied to CornKobb's topic in FFToday Board
Im in the same boat in my dynasty league and will most likely bench Portis for Hightower. First round of the playoffs and my only other options would be K Smith or Betts. Even if Portis is sure to sit I dont like the matchup against the Ravens for Betts. -
The play calling isnt nearly as bad as the execution, with the exception of the 4th down play.
-
I dropped him today, I only see value in a dynasty league.

McNabb may very well breakout here (I doubt it) but I like Kitna, All the Lions do is throw and the Eagle D has been burned numerous times already this season.
-
Thats tough!!!!! Evans will break out at some point but Lohsman just doesnt seem to be able to get it done. Evans has the greater upside but Jackson seems like the safer pick. I havent said anything to help but I do think if I had this choice I would play Jackson, I do have Evans on one team and his production has just been non-existent to date.

I dont mind trying to help some, but if they need someone to help with too much its just seems that maybe they ought not be playing FF. Guys that ask about thier whole lineup need to just man up and use thier own head. Others that are soooooooo obvious either already have 5 replies all the same or it just doesnt deserve an answer. I will give an opinion on those that I percieve as close calls. And somtimes I just want to see the replies because the question just may also pertain to one of my teams.
-
I will give him one more week and then off to the pine he goes. I do have Cutler or Garcia to replace him with and will just have to play the matchups. I know he is coming off injury but sure expected more than this.

I think the GB backfield is a huge mess. Right now you have B Jackson, D Wynn, Morency is due back any time and now the new kid on the block R Grant. Most likely by mid season this will sort itself out but there is no way to know at this point. I myself think Grant will become the starter in the next couple weeks. I am sure the Giants wished they hadnt traded him at this point. All I can say is good luck picking up on the right one.

Can someone please explain the college football
Tommyknocker replied to wiffleball's topic in The Geek Club
College schedules are usually done 3-4 years in advance and the bottom line is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ All non-conference games are scheduled purely from a profit standpoint! -
The Stand first is a must. Awesome book, his descritptive writing makes you feel as though you are there. As for a short story The Long Walk is good but I also liked The Mist and Thinner. Others I would recomend are Tommyknockers, The Talisman and Insomnia. The Dark Tower series is also very good, I myself am on the 3rd in the series.

After watching last nights game I would have to list the five worst teams as follows 1 Packers 2 Packers 3 Packers 4 Packers 5 Packers I am a Packers homer, but WOW! They looked more inept than the Ben Gals from a few years back. Of course seeing what Lewis has done in Cincinnati we can have hope in the future.
