Some Days You Just Can't Get Rid of a FF Team

Recommended Posts

Looking to ditch my team in the Dienasty Dynasty league. It's made up exclusively of Geeks, its pretty well-run, and its competitive. I have totally lost interest in FF and this league is admittedly a little more work than an average league. My team was once proud, and is now scuffling a little bit, but with the right owner I am sure it could be brought back to glory. By "glory" I mean "a serious run of consecutive years finishing in second place behind CBFalcon."

This year is already paid for and I am willing to pay for next year (minus any winnings that potentially happen this year) and hand the keys over immediately if not sooner.

Any prospective new owner must be vetted/approved by the league, so with that being said, if you have interest please reply to this thread.

Ha ha! That's funny.

You don't just quit the DNDL, you apply just to be able to even have it taken into consideration?

What is this rubbish?

I finally have a decent team after sucking for 8 years and you're ~sticking?

I could make a ton of excuses, it comes down to my heart not being in it man. I was in Vegas for week one, and the aftermath (waiver wires, etc) and just had no interest in doing any of it. I'd rather get rid of the team to someone that wants it before it gets too shitttty.

Just quit FF this year after 20+ years of playing. I feel your pain. I now enjoy just watching a game instead of hoping someone dies or getting mad that some POS goes off and gets 3 td's out of the blue.

I know OldMaid wanted to join last year, but I think she got a life or something since then. Don't see her around anymore.

90sbaby also said he would consider coming back under the right circumstances. Think he was pretty butt hurt about the first time, but he wasn't really a geek back then. Think he's grown into his geekhood quite a bit since then. Will be able to handle the trash talk and stuff a bit better...

And its a sweetheart deal, albeit for a (maybe) middle-of-the-road team.

You're failing to mention the new owner will be like the Jets/Dolphins/Bills with the El Padrino in the division.

Playing for 2nd place every year and hoping for a wildcard spot

But the new owner will also be playing in the same division is GoColts, meaning he would never come in last. Glass half full, man!

This is one of the unintended consequences of competing in a division with the El Padrino year after year.

Ed has spent the past 5 seasons wanting to quit, and being so afraid of making bad trades that he has repeatedly admonished people for sending him offers out of fear of being faced with a decision.

Gary.....well we all know what competing with the El has done to his psyche in terms of making moves and even his ability to place one foot in front of the other without wondering if it'll be ok.

And now sweet Pat, his will to live has been vanquished. Sweet sweet Pat. I hate to see it.

I suppose I should take this moment to offer my apologies. I've always known in my heart that my dominance, while sexy and glorious, comes at a cost to others. My division mates have been hit the hardest by my glory. While I shall continue to rule over the league with a stylish and humble iron fist for the weeks, months, seasons, and decades to come, I want you all to know that I am aware of your pain, and for this I am sorry.

Pat, I love you. Experts agree that your December 2014 defeat of the El Padrino compares favorably to what the USA did to the Soviets at Lake Placid back in 1980. This occurred at a time when most experts believed I'd never lose a game ever again. You did it. I'm proud of you. And if this is really it, I apologize for the wrecking of your soul and please know you can have an assistant coaches role with my franchise any time.

I quit my main money league last year. Totally lost interest in it. The game is more enjoyable without FF.

Whoever takes this over also gets to be a part of this, year-round.
