I dread trotn' out Greene, I don't think Lynch will do squat here, Bush will be so-so? ..and Benson/Lynch torched Bal for 100+yrds this year. Hence,RM??? I agree with Bush...he's a for sure start. I don't like Matthews against this Baltimore D...And on top of it....all the "experts are showing him love. Have you seen what he has done against elite rushing defenses this year? SQUAT! Vs. the Jets: 13 carries, 39 yards, 0 touchdowns. KC the very next week: 13 carries, 57 yards, 0 touchdowns. And then Week 11 against the Bears he did jack ###### again. Don't be fooled. The guy has had 3 straight 100 yard rushing games against some bad defenses. Time for him to come back to reality and the Ravens D is just the team to do that. Greene is on fire right now and faces a pretty brutal rush defense in the Eagles who have given up 269 yards rushing the past 2 games! Lynch has been nice, but the Bears are pissed and back at home...He might get 25 carries, but I don't think he gets as much as Greene does. I'm saying Bush and greene! footballchaos 0 Posted December 18, 2011 Two questions now that I think about it. The rest of my lineup is set but I have these options. V. Jax vs Balt or Mike Wallace vs SF? SF has been playing really good D all season and with big Ben dinged up pretty badly last week I have questions. J. Vax has been hit or miss all season and Balt has a solid D too. So which way to go? A second less pressing question is Sproles, Barber, and Rice today. Pick 2. Currently I have Rice and Sproles penciled. It's PPR league and length of score really matters. A little help please, thanks!

DC 9 Posted December 20, 2011 what to do about Rodgers for week 16? If the 49ers lose to Seattle on Saturday (4:15 game, EST), Green Bay will have locked up home field throughout and then it is highly likely that Rodgers sits for all or most of Sunday night's game vs Chicago. I will not carry or start the terrible Chicago QB against the Packer defense instead. And I can guarantee that neither of the Monday night QBs (Ryan and Brees) are available on the waiver wire to use instead of Rodgers. So, what choice but to either start a different QB playing on Saturday or to gamble that the 49ers defeat Seattle thereby forcing Green Bay to play to win in order to lock up homefield throughout? What a mess. I'd prefer not to play any of the mediocre available QBs on Saturday. Should we pick up Flynn (Rodgers' back up) in case Rodgers sits? If Aaron sits then we may have to roll with Flynn in the week 16 Championship game (or semifinals). Here are the other available QBs in my league that can be used on Saturday instead of Rodgers on Sunday: Freeman @ Carolina Grossman v Vikings Palmer @ KC Kolb/Skelton @ Cincinnati Orton v Raiders Locker/Hasselbeck v Jags Not very appealing, although Grossman could have a nice day. This really blows.

LeBron 0 Posted December 22, 2011 Iggy. OK, I have made it to the Super Bowl of my sixteen team league. You have given excellent advice and input so far so I am going to the well once again. Please pick two to fill 2nd wr spot (alongside Roddy) as well as my flex. AJ Green vs. AZ Demariyus Thomas @ Buffalo Jabar Gaffney vs Minn. A. Boldin vs Cleve Obviously if Green is healthy and a go, I will go with him at the 2nd wr (unless you are seeing red flags on him) so it may come down to Gaffney and D. Thomas and possibly Boldin for the flex. Thanks!! Scott

windycityiggy 0 Posted December 22, 2011 In need of some championship defense advice. Would you roll with Arizona, Seattle, or go to the waivers for Tennessee? I can't afford any mistakes this week and appreciate all the help that you and Fresh have given me over the season. Keep up the great website. Arizona has a great returner in Peterson and their D has actually played quite well. However, I don't like the road match up against Dalton and A.J. Green. Only 6 teams in the NFL have given up less points than the Bengals to opposing Defenses. Pass. It's gotta be you either hold onto Seattle and hope they keep doing what they are doing! Or you pick Titans off waivers. Here's my thoughts Seahawks look like a TOTALLY different team as of late. Again though....last week they had a cake walk against my bears, but look at the second half of the season and their defense. They have DOMINATED. Do you know they have only allowed 20+ points in ONE GAME SINCE WEEK 10? Yes, they have played the Rams twice in that span, but this team can put up points, and put them up in a big way. Hard to ignore this defense right now, and the 49ers aren't really that EXPLOSIVE on the offensive end. HOWEVER, they did give up 33 to this SAME TEAM in Week 1. Will they show up as the Week 1 team or the team that has been playing great for 6+ weeks now? Could be gold here or it can end up being a big disappointment. Titans, oh Titans. Where do I start here? The fact that they gave up that many points to a dismissal Indy offense, or the fact that they actually LOST to them! Titans get to play an easier opponent this week in the Jaguars and Blaine Gabbert is just horrible. This one could get ugly really fast or it can be like Week 1 where they LOST to the Jaguars 16-14 and only scored 5 fantasy points on Defense. I like the fact that they are on a 2 game losing streak and back home to be honest. Gabbert and Jacksonville will score no more than 14 points in this game, and only offensive weapon that can do something is MJD. This is a really really tough call rico. And I really want to help you but I'm gonna just lay it out for you to play it out! Seahawks or Titans is my opinion to you though. I know we are in the championship now so I don't wanna ruin anything. If Seattle's Defense GOT YOU HERE, then go with them. Don't change what has gotten you to this point. On paper though, looks like the Titans should end up with more fantasy points. Best of luck in the championship buddy, I hope you win! And thank you for the kind words and respect you have showed me throughout the season. I really do appreciate it!

This really blows. I can't really answer the A-Rod problem for 2 reasons. For one, I don't know what the result of the 49ers game will be yet, and secondly, my opponent has A-ROD and I'm facing him in the championship so my opinion may be biased! Just being honest with you DC, but I don't think A-Rod plays if the 49ers lose. If Niners win, I still think A-Rod only plays 1st half. There is almost NO REASON to have this guy out there when it can't change the spot the Packers will be in going into the Playoffs. Why take the chance that he gets hurt? Packers fans would have the whole front office LYNCHED if A-rod went down with a season-ending injury and everyone knows this. You got some nice QB's available there DC. What's wrong with Grossman at Minnesota? Vikings secondary is LOST out there. They are giving up the 6th most fantasy points to QB's in the past five weeks and overall, have given up the most points to the QB position than any other team. They have also allowed an NFL HIGH 31 PASSING TOUCHDOWNS this season. 31! Freeman is garbage this year, Palmer vs. Kc might be nice, but look what that Defense did to Rodgers last week. Skelton will start again this week, but the Bengals D is no joke. Locker/Hasselbeck I would just stay away from. No idea what's going on there, Matt is hurt, but has been named the starter, but Locker looks like the man every time he goes out there. Can't gamble on that combo. So we have it narrowed down to A-Rod, Grossman, or the possibility of picking up Matt Flynn. My advice to you, is to pick up Grossman, just so you have him as backup, and go from there. See what the Niners do first, and see if the Packers leak any info about what they plan to do with A-Rod. I really really hope this helps DC. I wish you nothing but the best of luck! -Iggy
windycityiggy 0 Posted December 22, 2011 Iggy. OK, I have made it to the Super Bowl of my sixteen team league. You have given excellent advice and input so far so I am going to the well once again. Please pick two to fill 2nd wr spot (alongside Roddy) as well as my flex. AJ Green vs. AZ (Must start and always will be! Just make sure he is playing. Reports say he is fine and should be out there, but keep an eye on him.) Demariyus Thomas @ Buffalo (Clearly Tebow's go-to-guy in the passing game now. Only problem I have here is that the Broncos D is fantastic and the Bills have been quite lousy since losing Jackson. If Broncos go up early, Timmy might not need to throw.) Jabar Gaffney vs Minn. (Like I said earlier, Vikings Defense is HOT GARBAGE. All you have to do is throw on them to score. Moss is back, but Davis is gone so Jabar has filled in nicely. He has 17 targets in the PAST 2 WEEKS. Gaffney has also caught at least five passes and 72 yards in four of his last five games.) A. Boldin vs Cleve (I HATE JOE WHACKO. Yes, that's not a typo. Did you watch him last week? I think he lost his vision or something! Boldin was also missing in practice today! No word exactly why, but his status is now QUESTIONABLE.) Obviously if Green is healthy and a go, I will go with him at the 2nd wr (unless you are seeing red flags on him) so it may come down to Gaffney and D. Thomas and possibly Boldin for the flex. Thanks!! Scott So Roddy and Green as your #1 and #2 (As long as AJ starts) and then it's down to D. Thomas or Gaffney. On paper, Jabar has the better match up and we all know the Skins are going to be throwing the ball. Denver is a run-first offense and if they go up early, D. Thomas will be irrelevant, but I still think he will get his. My guess is both of these guys will get close to the same point total if the games are close. I really hope this helps, Scott. Good luck in the championship!

The rest of my team is Newton McCoy Fitzgerald Welker Moss Witten Thanks a lot! Congrats on making it all the way to the championship! I really don't like to tell my readers to invest in a player who has only 24 touches in his past 2 games and a nagging hamstring injury! If you start him and he re-aggravates his hammy, you are GOING TO BE AGGRAVATED! Don't let the Colts and Donald Brown fool you. He won't break no 80 yarders this week. Texans give up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to the RB position....PASS! I cannot believe I'm gonna say this, but yes, Khalil Bell looks to be the play on paper. I picked him up a week ago true story! Barber did not practice today and his status is questionable. If Barber doesn't play that means the Bears only have ONE RUNNING BACK! And that's Bell. Guy put up 21 points last week in my PPR league and I regret not playing him, but I still made it through to the final round. I think you go Bell here if it's for sure that Barber isn't playing! Hope this helps and best of luck in the championship!

Thanks So we only have to subtract one of those players? Colston a must start, Hernandez had 6 more targets than Gronkowski last week, but will that continue? Percy Harvin has lost a TREMENDOUS amount of value now that AP is back and healthy and last week proved that. I think you subtract Harvin or Hernandez. As far as your defense question....SEATTLE. 49, 38, 34, 23 < That's the last 4 weeks of points the New York Giant Defense has given up to opponents.....Seahawks by far is the most logical play here. It's championship week, no time to mess with a team that has clearly lost it's control and discipline. I really hope this helps, good luck! -Iggy

Thanks man, appreciate it. This is also a tough question. I might even go out on a limb and say Denver, but only because they should create more turnovers. Denver, in my opinion, will probably give up more yardage and more points than Seattle will, but they still might end up with a nice amount of points. Seahawks have proved everybody wrong and have put up MASSIVE fantasy points for their owners. 49ers also aren't really that scary on offense. David Akers is the 2nd best player on that team next to Frank Gore. Guy just kicks balls all day long. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a turnover machine and the Bills O-Line is soft. C.J. Spiller is dangerous though and could burn the Broncos D. That's the dilemma. More points and yardage, but might create 3 turnovers. Seahawks, small amount of points given up, maybe 1 turnover, 2 on the high end. I've tried my best every week for you buddy, I really hope this helps. Thank you for the support, and hopefully we all come out victorious this week! I'm really glad to hear a lot of yous made it all the way to the finals.
