Well, I'm sure a contract and the thought of getting a ring before he retires might change his mind. I'm a Pats fan and would love to see him there, I'm not sold on Taylor or anyone else we have. Don't see the Chiefs going for him or the Broncos, I still think Seattle.
-
if he doesn't accept, where do you think he goes? The Chargers have reportedly made LaDainian Tomlinson a "final offer" in negotiations to restructure his contract. The Chargers have put him in a position where he can either accept the offer or play elsewhere in 2009. Beat writer Kevin Acee said that "every indication I had gotten privately from those who know Tomlinson was that he was gone." The decision is now in LT's hands. Seattle? Saints? new england? Buff?

I also saw that Galloway was an interest also.

I think they sign another WR and possibly draft another to compete. I thought we were looking at Furry too, right?

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Cassel has been traded to the Chiefs. The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss has confirmed the news, which is part of the trade sending Mike Vrabel West. There were rumors Cassel could be involved in a three-team swap, but it appears Kansas City will be his final destination. Compensation has not been announced, but it's safe to say the Tyler Thigpen era is over before it started. Cassel may not have excelled in every system, but he's set up for great long-term success under GM Scott Pioli and coach Todd Haley, who will play to his strengths. A new contract is likely.

I think they will need to pony up some money to upgrade their LBs. We are losing too many to old age. I was hoping now that Minnesota grabbed Rosenfels the Patriots think about the Peppers deal. I know Peppers mentioned he would like to play for the Pats.
-
So this means no Cassel?
-
Cassel for Peppers, straight up. Larry Johnson as a Patriot next season. Houshmanzada in a Cowboys' jersey if TO is gone. Jets sign a QB even though they are "happy" with who they have.

just saw this on Fox. News: It appears that Edgerrin James, not Hightower, will start on Sunday at St. Louis, the Arizona Republic reports. Impact: Hightower should fill his typical role as Arizona's primary goal-line back and he should continue to take touches away from James in other situations. Hightower has 19 touches in the Cardinals' last two games and James has 16.

It seems like every other week he goes off. He's facing a Philly D that's been really good so far this year. I'm hoping for at least 75 & a TD. I just wish he caught 3 or 4 passes too.

they should start a new team and put all the A holes on it. Would be a great reality show. TO, Shockey, Ocho, LJ, Rivers....

I think this is pretty accurate. I think Marshall might be slightly higher, there's no one to really cover him (think of V. Jackson last week, Marshall is almost identical in size but way above in talent) The only thing that might stop Marshall from having a great game would be if Royal steals catches. The Pats will try to stop the run, that's all they can do now (did it against the Chargers.) But they can not even come close to stopping the deep ball. Plus, the Broncos are treating this like a must-win after last week's loss.

I've given up on Fasano. They seem to use him only when I'm not starting him. Alex Smith seems to be pretty involved with the passing game and a big redzone target for Garcia. M. Lewis looked involved in the last two games, but I can't see him being a consistent contributor on points. Crumpler is not doing anything with Scaife there. Davis is intriguing, but he's not getting the looks at all. I thin he has the most upside out of the bunch with a huge risk of never catching anything.
