I went to bed last night expecting the Yanks to only be 1.5 games back of the Sox. I wake up to find that, not only do the Sox win in 19 innings after erasing a 2-0 9th inning deficit, but the Yanks blew a 6-1 lead .

D is focking atrocious but offense was a little worrisome too. Brady was heavily relying on amendola who predictably proceeded to get hurt. He's gonna have to get comfortable with the new weapons quick with no Edelman and now no amendola.

I'm still amazed that the Patriots paid Gilmore all that money like he is a top corner. Usually they are pretty smart about that and will only pay highly for real stars. Gilmore's middle name is torched. He wasn't very good last year. He is perhaps a solid #2. I thought maybe since it is Bill and he plays the Bills twice a year that he saw something. But Gilmore torched in week 1 just like he was much of last year. Awful signing.
