Cooper is very good as is Watkins. Coopers likely a better talent and is in a better situation. Carr is working hard and will improve quite a bit. MJD was saying on his satellite radio fantasy show about Carr's work ethic. He also was a little worn down as the year went on.

Tough to tell at this point. Watkins put up some respectable numbers with horrible QB play. It seems like Kiffin has coached WRs before to monster numbers in college and it never carried over to the NFL.

People realize that Sammy Watkins was just the 29th rookie to EVER surpass 900 yards receiving right?

He suffered his hip injury Week 13 against the Browns and only had one game (coincidentally the next one) where he caught more than 3 passes or had more than 75 yards receiving. And he did all that with the terrible players around him.

Now the Bills get Charles Clay (HIGHLY underrated in a Greg Roman & Rex Ryan offense), LeSean McCoy, and Percy Harvin. Defenses will have to play the Bills more honestly and likely not bracket coverage so much to Watkins. And while Rex and Roman have run heavy offenses, all four years in San Francisco the leading receiver (Crabtree x2 and Boldin x2) were top 30 in PPR formats. They averaged 125 targets per season collectively too.

Will Watkins perform to his rookie-draft hype from a year ago? Probably not.

But maybe we should slow down on the Amari Cooper is THAT much better talk. After all, Julio Jones is the ONLY Alabama wide receiver to ever be a blip on the fantasy radar.

Great points and all the more reason I can say that Cooper will out score Watkins this season . Bills do have more weapons then last season and who is going to be their Qb this season ? . I will take my shot with Cooper and Carr combo .

I mean wrs I think can potentially achieve top 12. My list of top 12 wrs will prob be 50-70% wrong like everyone else's, so there room for others to break in. I only draft guys that I feel could potentially break out and be that lightning in a bottle. 1000-5 is the floor for any wr on my draft board. Lotto ticket wr4s have to have wr2 upside at least, and preferably wr1 breakout potential.

 

This goes for all positions really. No one wants their rb3 to be the 36th ranked rb. I want my rb3 to explode and lead the league in rushing out of nowhere. I want him to be next years 1st round pick. League winners are always the guys who caught lightning in a bottle with their late picks or FA.

I have a share of Coop in dynasty and I wouldn't trade him for Watkins. Situation always factors in here.

 

My take:

 

Coop is the better WR in terms of overall route running, mental awareness and versatilty.

 

Sammy is the better althete in terms of explosive YAC, high point ability and redzone presence.

Sounds good to me. Talent scores as many points on sunday as I do sitting on the couch. I prefer opportunity especially when the price is lower. Id like to see Cooper break out and we have already seen Watkins floor I believe.
