touchdowntwitaker 2 Posted August 22, 2014 What is the consensus? Do you take a chance at a guy who can win you your league based on opportunity cost, or do you really think he re injures his ACL? All his other injuries seem flukie and not re occurring? Also, does this ACL slow him down.. Otherwise, if you knew he was going to play all 16 games - who is to say he couldn't chase Randy Moss td record with cupcake schedule..

Fantasy Fiend 38 Posted August 22, 2014 Throwing him up in the first round of a $200 auction league and if I can grab him for $20 or less I am all over it.....but won't take the risk for a $ higher....huge risk...huge reward.

Can't see how a player can win you your league , when he is not going to be healthy most of the season . can't it . he is ranked to high.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted August 22, 2014 I dont think its worth the risk at all.
We Tigers 71 Posted August 22, 2014 Gronk is much less risky as an auction pick. The opportunity cost of taking him in the 3rd/4th of a snake just feels a little too high right now. We were all probably hoping for a little more clarity at this point. I don't see him as particularly likely to reinjure anything; the question is more "when will he be ready to play?" It was an awful long wait last season.

Patriotica 5 Posted August 22, 2014 If he makes round 3 of my redraft I will fight hard the urge to pass him up. The guy is Brady's #1 target and thus he takes an absolute beating every week. I really don't see playing more than 10 games. Just a feeling.
Fantasy Fiend 38 Posted August 22, 2014 Everyone else in your league is thinking the same thing. And someone will pay $30 or more for him I hear ya and there is a 99% chance your dead on......but every now and then there is the one player where the bidding stalls prematurely....unlikely I know but just need to make sure not to budge over $20. I got him for $15 in a yahoo pro league, so it's possible.
