  1. Standard scoring, .5 PPR I got a whole gaggle of guys that'll either score 30 or 6 and I need to figure out which ones will score 30 for week 1 of the playoffs. I need to come up with an RB, WR, & Flex out of this group. A wealth of options, all of them also potential landmines. My team could totally win the league, it could also flame out in round 1 just as easily. James Robinson Vs Houston Davonta Freeman Vs GB Michael Carter @MIA Miles Sanders Vs WFT DK Metcalf @LAR OBJ Vs SEA Cole Beasley Vs CAR Sterling Shepard Vs DAL For reference, Dalvin Cook and Chris Godwin are the locked-in starters at RB1 and WR1.
  2. This is a 12-team 1/2 PPR league - all other scoring rules are pretty standard. We're allowed to keep one player if desired with the following rules: Drafted in the 9th round or later They were on your team the whole year You forfeit your current year pick 2 rounds earlier We are only allowed to keep one player though so I have a decision to make since I drafted George Kittle in the 11th and Baker Mayfield in the 16th round. If it was perfectly even I'd take Kittle every time but there's a five round difference in the pick I have to give up so I'm a little torn. It may also be worth mentioning that both Pat Mahomes and Jared Goff will DEFINITELY be keepers for their respective teams in this league.

    Rb help! WHIR

Peterson is a no-brainer, IMO. LA is 28th in the league against the run this year and AP is playing with a purpose. Only way I can see him not having a great day is if his anger gets the better of him and he pulls a Marshawn Lynch. I honestly don't see that happening, though. I think you can chalk him up for 100-120 and a TD. Shady is a mystery this year. He should be having a good year. The problem is it seems like every time he rips off a 20+ yarder it gets called back for holding and that's always been how he gets most of his production. He's also facing a top 10 run defense. With all that said, Chris Ivory has been the model of mediocrity his entire career when starting and with Charles Clay out and Jordan Matthews maybe back but far from 100%, McCoy is still Buffalo's best running back and best receiver. In a league where you get points for both carries and catches, I can't imagine a scenario where he doesn't score you around 10 points from that alone. I'd go with McCoy. 4. Since it's becoming increasingly unlikely that Fournette will play today, I'm having a bit of trouble deciding who to slide into his place. My team is pretty deep at RB but nobody from my bench really jumps off the page and screams "start me" this week. It's a 1/2 PPR league I could go slow and steady with Alex Collins whose been pretty reliable for 6-8 points all season or I can go boom or bust with Chris Thompson who could score 3 points or 30. Alternatively, I could move Frank Gore from my FLEX spot to RB and slide Jermaine Kearse in at FLEX. Thanks in advance, post a link to yours and I'll be happy to help in return.
  5. Time for the weekly dice roll on Chris Thompson. I have him in two leagues and every week I find myself going crazy trying to make the decision on whether to start him or not. Both leagues are 1/2 PPR which makes him an even riskier option because his production is even more dependent on him finding a way to make a huge play again. League One: Need 1WR and 1FLEX from: Larry Fitzgerald, Stefon Diggs, Joe Mixon, Chris Thompson (Antonio Brown is my WR1, Fournette and Dalvin Cook are RB1/RB2) League Two: Need 1RB, 1WR, 1FLEX from: Crowell, Chris Thompson, Derrick Henry, Fitzgerald, Crabtree (this one may be made easy if Crabtree doesn't play but assuming he does - what do you guys think?) I have to say, since these teams are both 3-0 and I don't particularly NEED his production on either, half of me kinda hopes Thompson does start to fall off a bit so I'm not faced with this damn decision every week. Post a link and I'll take a look at yours.

    Chris Thompson!?

Fake news. I never doubted him. Someone find out who falsified this quote immediately! Seriously though, he won me a game in another league that I'd already written off since I was down by 20 with only Fitz left, my opponent had Witten. I thought that game was a done deal. Fitz is now my hero and since Arizona can't run worth a damn and Palmer doesn't seem to really trust any of his other receivers, Fitz will be remaining in my line-up for the immediate future in both leagues where I own him.

    Chris Thompson!?

I also have Joe Mixon and Frank Gore as bye week guys. That particular team is super stacked. I definitely hear you on Fitz, though. Another bad game and I'm probably taking him out of my flex spot whether I decide to keep Thompson or not. Especially if Mixon continues what he started this week.

    Chris Thompson!?

I'm asking myself the same question right now. I snagged him off waivers week one but with Dalvin Cook and Fournette as my RB1/RB2 can I really afford to bench either for such a seemingly boom or bust player? Flex you say? Well, do I bench Antonio Brown, Fitz, or Diggs for him? I've got this maniac lighting my bench on fire two weeks in a row but how do I work him into my lineup? I'm thinking about trying to offer him straight up for Jason Witten - whose owner had David Johnson and is desperate for anything at RB. It feels like it's time to move him, especially since I can't really find a way to use him, while his value is as high as it'll likely ever be. I just can't fathom this production continuing for a guy who sees the field so little.
  9. So my high-risk rookie-centric draft in my primary league seems to have paid off and three weeks in I'm sitting pretty at running back. I drafted Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette, Joe Mixon, and Frank Gore then snagged Chris Thompson off waivers in week one. With all five posting solid numbers this week, it looks to me like the perfect time to make a move. The question is who should I move and who should I keep? Should I look to ship out Chris Thompson while his value is up in the stratosphere? Or should I be looking at moving Cook or Fournette to clear a starting role for him? Part 2: What do you think I can get in return? My weakest link is undoubtedly TE right now with Coby Fleener and Eric Ebron who I'm about to cut. The team with Gronk could definitely use an RB and the team with Witten had David Johnson so obviously he's hurting as well (he started Tevin Coleman and Kerwynn Williams today, with Jamaal Charles and Vereen as his only other options.) Trading an RB1/RB2 for a TE feels kind of silly, though. Maybe I should look to bolster my receivers? I've got Antonio Brown, Larry Fitz, and Stefon Diggs but I'm paper thin behind them - Kenny Golladay and Jermaine Kearse. 12-team 1/2 PPR, BTW.
  10. I picked up Chris Thompson in two leagues during the week 1 waiver period. Both are 12-team 1/2 PPR leagues and both are leaving me with a decision to make this week. League One: Chris Thompson or Isaiah Crowell? (NOTE: I could also play both if I bench Larry Fitz and put Thompson in the Flex) League Two: Fitzgerald/Diggs/Thompson - need a WR2 and a FLEX out of that group Post a link and I'll help with yours.

    Derrick Henry for Maclin

Thanks for helping with mine. I like the Henry for Maclin trade. I've got Henry stashed on a few benches because I'm pretty sure he's gonna have the #1 job before the season is done. With that said, Benjamin/Decker/Moncrief as your only WRs is almost as scary as your current RB situation. Are there are decent WRs on the waiver wire? Maybe someone like Jermaine Kearse who is under the radar but seems to be the favored target in New York right now? If you can find something, anything on the market at WR I'd take the trade but if you're gonna be left with Benjamin and Decker as your WRs with Moncrief as a bye week guy... yuck, stick with what you've got. You could be worse off that Crowell and Cohen.

    Which WR and RB? WHIR

Dez Bryant is automatic. For your second, I would go with Chris Hogan. I'm seeing a shootout between NE and NO and Hogan will get his fair share of looks. For RBs, go Powell and Cohen. Flex I think has to be one of the wide receivers. I'd say it's a tossup between Crowder and TY. Assuming he's healthy, go with Crowder. I just don't trust anyone in the Indy offense right now.
  13. SabreNation

Charles Clay, Hunter Henry or Jesse James

Go with Clay. Other than Shady McCoy, Charles Clay is the only guy in Buffalo that Tyrod has any rapport built up with. He led the team in targets in game 1 and that will probably be the case more often than not this year, especially with the coaches emphasizing the short and mid-range passing game and pushing Tyrod to get the ball out fast. He's probably a pretty safe bet to get 5-10 targets a week this year. Whether anything will come out of it depends on how accurate they are and whether Tyrod can get the ball past the line throwing out of the pocket at his height. Gonna be a whole lotta batted passes in Buffalo this year.

    Pick 1 QB, 1 WR - I'll Help Back

Normally I'd say Cousins over Palmer but you can't ignore the match-ups. I think Cousins will get himself back on track after a somewhat disappointing game one but on the road against Indy, I give the nod to Palmer here. WR is a crap shoot. I don't trust anyone on the Indy offense right now. Kendall Wright's got a tough match-up against the Tampa D and Chicago's QB situation isn't exactly sparkling at the moment either. Golladay strikes me as a boom or bust receiver this year. His production will depend heavily on whether he gets into the end zone. Even with that said, I like him better than either of the other options this week. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=469493
  15. So apparently there were a lot of guys asleep at the wheel in what is generally a very competitive league and I managed to snag both Chris Thompson and Kenny Golladay off waivers this week. Thompson, in particular, leaves me with a decision to make in Week 2. Isaiah Crowell is my RB2 and he's on the road against a Baltimore defense that completely and utterly shut down Cincy in Week 1. Thompson doesn't exactly have a fantastic match-up either on the road against the Rams. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Golladay I don't think has any path into my line-up as of yet. I've got the Michaels - Thomas and Crabtree - with Larry Fitz in my Flex but if anyone thinks I should even consider swapping him for one of those three, I'm open to opinions. Link yours and I'll take a look.
