wiffleball 4,631 Posted August 8, 2018 He literally got virtually everything wrong. Even the White House can't or won't backup or try to explain his moronic tweets. Dude, if you don't understand something? Just shut the up about it. He tried to blame water policy in the lack of water for the forest fire. The problem is the fire is surrounded by three different lakes - full. And that's just one thing. Again, if you don't understand? Which is virtually everything? Just shut the fuk up. http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-trump-fires-20180806-story.html?outputType=amp

Save your reading people. This is all you need to know about that article. So the mismanagement of California is a bigger hoax than Climate Change?

5-Points 2,716 Posted August 8, 2018 He's right about the state foolishly allowing water to runoff into the Pacific. He's wrong about it exacerbating the wildfire issues. The state's mismanagement of fire prone areas is to blame.

mobb_deep 917 Posted August 8, 2018 Save your reading people. This is all you need to know about that article. So the mismanagement of California is a bigger hoax than Climate Change? No denying the LA Times is a liberal rag, but that still doesn't change the fact the firefighters have plenty of water. The lakes and surrounding aquifers are all full. Not to mention the largest of the fires in Mendocino is right next to this small body of water that covers a mere 33% of the planet, called the Pacific Ocean. Cdub100 3,366 Posted August 8, 2018 90% of wild fires are caused by people. Not climate change. The rest are lightning strikes and other naturally occurring weather. But muh climate change.

Hey Trump said it must be right! https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/12/california-wildfires-water-troubles-progressive-mismanagement/ Over some 50 consecutive months of drought, California did not start work on a single major reservoir — though many had long ago been planned and designed. Instead, given the lack of water-storage capacity, and due to environmental diversions, tens of millions of acre-feet of precious runoff water last year were simply let out to the ocean.

wiffleball 4,631 Posted August 8, 2018 Just a quick reminder for the less intellectually abundant. Even on this shitshow board, most of us agreed that climate change is certainly occurring. The big issue is man-made climate change. Not going to have that discussion for the 400th time. But all you have to do is look at the numbers to realize that. Leave it to the tards to cherry pick 5 words to discount any facts. point is, Trump thinks there's no water and that's why the fire so huge. Uh, no..

mobb_deep 917 Posted August 8, 2018 Letting water naturally run into the ocean and “foolishly being diverted into the Pacific Ocean.” are not the same thing. Regardless, the fact still remains that there is PLENTY of water to fight the fires. We have fires every year, because we have these things they don't have in BFE Middle America called "mountains" and "forests".
