FU Week 1 (Irma edition)

Recommended Posts

First, chill.

But this is the first time I've ever owned Gronk and I'm going against the Brady owner so it was a lil bittersweet for my first matchup, but I'll gladly take this.

FU A Smith!!

I have Brees and my opponent had Smith. Easy advantage for me right? Not so fast! Smith with 2 TDs in a half. Sux!

And I have the NE defense in another league. Double sux.

Fock me for starting Cooks over Gillislee.

Ouch. That makes the P.I. on Cooks that much more painful.

Ha! Could've drafted Hill over Cooks in a return yards league. Hill was the #1 WR last year, but I tried being sneaky/selfish and wanted Cooks and Hill. So at 3.10 I draft Cooks, hoping Hill would fall 4 more spots to me at 4.2. Drafters did their homework this year.

Hill got drafted at 4.1. Plan failed.

F myself.

This game confirms the reason I think drafting any te before round 6 is a mistake.

Neither one had a early round game tonite.

Brady....his throws looked off most of the night, lot of them sailed on him. I know he won't leave the ball ever in a place where it could be picked but his guys often didn't have a chance either and he missed some open guys too. Chiefs were content to let him sit in the pocket and try and find holes but the pats players weren't creating great separation most of the night. Once Amendola went down it was really over for their offense. All this said, the pats were in the redzone 6 times and they had 3 rush tds, 2 fgs, and stopped on 4th down. more often than not brady will come away with 2 tds at worst in that situation. Chiefs just had a magical night on both sides of the ball...made plays when they had too. I wonder if the pats truly took them seriously or not. I do expect a big bounce back from Brady next week vs the saints. but its still a huge FU and likely will cost me the week.

FU to the entire Pats team. You all focked me. Brady, Cooks in 2 leagues, Hogan, Pats D. Nice effort guys. Cooks and Brady may be the busts of the year. And so much for Hogans coming out party. Gonna be a long year

Going to play the Pats D with confidence going forward. They are going to get their a$$es kicked in practice this week.

I'm dropping them. They get NO, Caro, TB, ATL, and the LAC in the coming weeks before their W9 bye. The games against Houston and the Jets in weeks 3 and 6 aren't enough for me to keep this pile of dung on my bench.

Or what about a QB in the first 3 rounds? Brady scored about half the points he was projected in most leagues. Alex Smith was barely on anyone's roster.

Yea I thought about that same thing about the qbs.

But I had posted already.

But qbs also.

Waiting later in the draft for both qbs and TE's and loading up on let's say Hunt is a better move.

Pats d looked slow and now they look beat up.

I would be moving on.

I'm not sure I would overreact on anything with the Pats yet. They have too good of a track record to think they won't bounce back and be solid the rest of the year as a team.

I don't agree with this at all.

The whole point of getting your TE early is because you believe you can supplement that with WR/RBs later in the draft or via FA, which this game confirmed.

*Gillislee was a 7th rd pick in my league, who will outscore most of the top RBs this week.

*He didn't have a huge game per se and I didn't play him, but I got James White in the 14th. He had 6.8 pts but outsnapped all Pats backs; there could be a point where he could flex for me this year.

*Hunt, depending on when you drafted, was a 6-8th rd pick. We drafted the Tues after Ware got hurt, so Hunt went all the way up to 24, but plenty of leagues had him as a 6-8th rd pick. However, he also represents all handcuff/injury replacement backs too, meaning if you are smart enough to get the hot injury replacement to add to your early round every week TE, you're money.

This didn't confirm anything to me; Gronk and Kelce will come around and provide the value that owner's drafted them at. Those owners just need to be diligent about hitting on RB/WRs elsewhere, but I actually think its easier to find an every week RB in the mid to late rounds/FA than it is to find an every week TE starter or play the right weekly streamer.

This is tough for me. I think I drafted them 10th round and they were the 10th defense taken. Felt solid about it.

But Saints coming up??? Doesn't look good. This is why I usually stream DST all year. But it's always nice having a secure and reliable DST that you don't have to waste WW pickups week to week.

I might drop them this week if I lose. Sucks starting 0-2.

Agreed, and they get the Jet, Dolphins, and Bills twice... easy schedule IMO

Yeah. Belichek may be a great game planner, but he still needs the players to execute. I'm not sure he has them this year.

Amendola. You looked like the late draft steal of the year until someone tapped you on the shoulder giving you a concussion. I hope your paint brushes dry up. FU.

Fock you Janikowski. You already cost me $2 to drop your ass. I'll expect a check from you later this week, d!ckhead.

Speaking of pussies, fock you Jordan Reed. You're starting your sh!t already huh? lol. Just retire, 'Mr. Glass'.

And most importantly, fock you hurricane Irma. Because of you, I had to sub Chris 'breakout player of they year per John Hanson' Hogan for Evans, likely costing me a win.

FU to the automatic scheduling on CBS that pitted me against the team with Kareem Hunt. Barring a lights out performance from my team today (and Dalvin Cook tomorrow), virtually assured of a loss already.

FU to the dude in my league who drafted second, and was able to pick up Le'Veon Bell, Zeke Elliot and Kareem Hunt as his backs.

And fock me for having to draft first, and getting picked off on every snake turn back.

Focking Jordan Reed... you fell down the draft board, and I didn't want to take you because I NEVER do... but I did against my better judgment... I wake up this morning to "Reed dealing with fractured big toe"

WTF... the season hasn't even started yet

Jordan Reed and Tyler Eifert can take turns sniffing my .

And FU Derek Carr. How about instead of throwing 7 in a row to Cooper in the endzone, maybe throw one in Crabtree's general direction?

FU to Todd Haley and the 2 yd and a cloud of dust gameplan you're going with today. I swear to God the only play they know is the bubble screen
