I snatched him as well, projected for 10 points on CBS right now, usually means expected to play

I too snatched up Legatron. Hope he plays because I dropped Fairbairn to get him.

Ramswire has him as Day-to-Day, but that was written yesterday. ESPN still showing no projection.

Life is too short and precious to waste time stressing about the status of a kicker. He got injured in warm-ups correct? No thanks let him kick the fooz ball successfully for a game then we can talk. jmo

Listed Doubtful now.

crappers, hope its worth it but I'm holding, he is the best fantasy kicker when healthy. Guess it's santos for one more week.

I hope Yahoo lists as OUT so I don’t have to cut someone to add another kicker.,

I’m not so sure you can count on Legatron if and when he finally does come back. He may break your heart again like he did last year during crunch time and even one game this year when he didn’t show up without notice.

Groins don’t heal like we would like them to.

Dropped. Picked up Legatron lite, Cody Parkey

Passed his bye as added bonus

I currently have R. Gould, who I was high on when Jimmy G was healthy. I've been looking at both Fairbairn and Parkey. I think Houston probably has the better offense which has better opportunites to score more points than Chicago, but I also like the idea of Parkey already going through his bye week since my league only allows 10 transactions throughout the season.

McVay reported he may still be a week away. Endorsed Cairo for his job last week.

Lol I'm at 24 transactions already.

dam i thought i made a lot of moves already with 19.

nice ha. In my defense there were a couple trades that I then had to pick somebody up. And I stream defenses and kickers.

Own Lutz, picked up Zuerlein once he cleared waivers, dropped Zuerlein for Santos for one week. Plugging Lutz in next week for the rest of the season.

Busy day worrying about my dern kicker situation.

I've made 17 and they cost $1 per. I make the most moves in my league every year.

I've been holding and tough not to keep doing so. May have been a mistake. Guess we'll see.

The idea that kickers don't matter is one of the bigger fallacies in fantasy football, in my opinion. Kickers are very volatile year to year, but every year a handful prove to be more valuable than the others. Having a guy like Tucker with accuracy and talent or a kicker on a high powered offense like Legatron consistently gives you an advantage.

I won't disagree. But NO kicker, regardless of pedigree, is worth taking in the 8th, 10th or even 12th round just to fill in your roster and prance around because got the top rated guy at that position. They are entirely too unpredictable. Here is the ESPN projections for 2018 and their actual rankings through 5 weeks.

Projected Player Actual (Wk 5)
1 Chris Boswell, Pit K 30
2 Greg Zuerlein, LAR K 31
3 Stephen Gostkowski, NE K 18
4 Matt Bryant, Atl K 15
5 Matt Prater, Det K 16
6 Justin Tucker, Bal K 1
7 Robbie Gould, SF K 13
8 Harrison Butker, KC K 5
9 Jake Elliott, Phi K 24
10 Graham Gano, Car K 15
11 Wil Lutz, NO K 3
12 Adam Vinatieri, IND K 10

Out of the 12 top guys projected going into the season, exactly 4 are in the top 12 after 5 weeks. This on a total basis, not an average by game. And it doesn't matter. Having a good kicker each week is important, paying for one on draft day isn't.

No argument here. As I stated year to year they are highly volatile. No kicker is worth an early pick and few are worth a taking a round or two before the final round. However, Tucker has been historically accurate and a consistent top 10 kicker. Zuerlein plays on a team that was historically good offensively. In leagues where owners play it by the book and wait until the last round, grabbing a guy like Tucker or Zuerlein slightly before the final round, has a better chance of paying off than taking a late round flier RB or WR.

It's not something that's apparent on draft day. But a few weeks into the season you reach a point where you just "know" that so-and-so would be an enterprising candidate to latch on to for Kicker (and/or Defense). it happened to me with Matt Bryant in 2016 and Greg Zuerlein last year (and the Ravens as well).

Im high on Parkey, the defense will always help with field position and the offense is good enough to get them in FG range. Assuming their QB doesnt go Mahomes on us again the opportunities will be there.

His average holds true to that as he is 3rd behind Zeurlin and Tucker

Cmon Legatron, its just a groin!!!! Still holding him as my 2nd kicker. Thought I was smart 2 weeks ago snagging him but now I feel like its a wasted bench spot. Still gonna tough it out.

I dropped Gould for Parkey. He already had his bye and hopefully I dont have to burn anymore transactions on kickers.

Maybe it’s best he not return in cold Denver where it might snow. But I have serious doubts about his health for ROS. I’m still holding him but I’m definitely holding my breath that he may reinsure it during some game.
