As expected, Brandon Bostick gets pink-slipped

Recommended Posts

Packers waived TE Brandon Bostick.

Bostick was due just $585,000 for 2015, but the Packers are moving on after he earned all of 34 snaps in 2014. Bostick, of course, is only 29 days removed from being the (unfair) goat of the Packers' NFC Championship Game loss. Still just 26 (in May), Bostick has always offered athletic upside, but it's concerning that he couldn't get on the field in Green Bay considering his lack of competition. He'll fight for someone's No. 3/4 tight end spot this summer.

You might remember the on-side kick, in the NFC Championship Game? #86 of Green Bay, who mishandled the ball??? :shocking:

The number THREE tight end, whose job was TO BLOCK for Jordy Nelson, and didn't. Because, hey - Jordy Nelson was only the overall WR3 in PPR fantasy football in 2014, not like HE has good hands, or anything...

So, now, Mr. Bostick, you can TRY TO sell your wares to another NFL team. Because Green Bay was loaded at the TE slot to begin with, with J. Finley being injured and all. :nono:

Where the hell was isis mentioned in this?

And I think Bostick should have been let go. He didn't really bring much to the team. I'm sure they can find someone who is just as good or better

Bostick had been there for 3 years...had an injury history that kept him from the field often and he didn't know the offense that well either.

Add in that mistake in the title game and it was an easy choice.

And yes, Hawk (unless he drops his salary a ton) and Brad Jones are next.

Looks like he may get another chance:

Vikings claim former Packers TE Brandon Bostick off waivers
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

(2/18/2015) The Vikings have claimed former Packers tight end Brandon Bostick, the team announced on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end was waived by Green Bay on Monday, about a month after his mistake on an onside kick allowed the Seahawks to come back and win the NFC Championship Game. Bostick spent two seasons with the Packers and registered nine catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. With the addition of Bostick, the Vikings now have five tight ends on the active roster (Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, Chase Ford, Ryan Otten).
