    Now THIS is journalism!!!!

Let me try to help you out here. There are plenty of times when you don't want to go to a strip club but a little eye candy wouldn't hurt. As I mentioned above, lunch is one of those times. I'd rather be watching decent looking women walking around in almost nothing and bringing me my burger than BillyBob the waiter. Costs the same. Or, on occasion I'd go by there after work to catch a game. If you notice many of these places are sports bars. I've gone there on Sunday for football. Twin Peaks has a LOT of TV's so it's a good place for football. IOW, seeing a scantily clad attractive working woman doesn't always mean strip clubs or escorts. There can be a happy medium where the environment enhances the experience of eating or drinking.

    Too many playoff teams

Isn't the NBA at 20 including "play-in" teams?

Had a Tilted Kilt here in downtown Denver. Not sure if it's still there. Don't head down them much any more. But when we did it was a good place to grab a beer. We had a Twin Peaks right down the street from my last job. Was a good lunch destination.

    Dems do it again

Regardless of how you feel about the merits of the offenses, the Dems just set another bad precedent by refusing to hold a trial when an impeachment was sent to them. I believe this is the first time articles of impeachment were sent from the House to the Senate and the Senate just dismissed them without a trial. What a horrible precedent.
  7. It's gonna be great for the prosecution when she gets called to testify, walks up to the witness stand, they go to swear her in, and she looks at the judge and asks "Do I take my clothes off now?"

    Real Estate Harbinger

I'm not sure what your or HT's point is. People have to have a place to live. HT suggested older people moving would help with supply issues. Selling their home to buy a smaller home, even a condo, doesn't help with the supply issue of homes. Moving to a retirement home MIGHT, assuming the retirement home is a multi person dwelling (they usually are obviously) such that they increase the density of people being housed in a given building footprint. But that's a small subset of older people. Older people have always stayed in their homes as long as possible. Some do choose to downsize but I don't think that's a huge percentage unless forced to by economics or other reasons, and as I already noted this wouldn't help with supply anyways.

How is selling one's longtime residence to buy a smaller residence going to help with supply? Swapping one item for another of the same item doesn't really help.

CAN be doesn't mean SHOULD be.

Why would they do that? The only people I've ever known who moved to a retirement home were those who couldn't take care of themselves. Every other elder person I've know who was capable stayed in their homes until they died, including my Mother. It's the main reason most of us buy a home and hope to own it free and clear by the time we retire.

If they sold their house, where would they live?
